NEXT WEEK I WILL BE IN MAGIC KINGDOM! More specifically, we should be finishing up dinner at BOG! I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it!

The girls still have NO idea. Ironically, my oldest was watching ride videos on YouTube this afternoon. She wants to try Rockin Roller Coaster next trip. And my youngest is now tall enough to ride Expedition Everest, one of my favorites! I LOVE how they look these things up on their own and ask to go back. It's going to make the surprise even better!

I worked all weekend, so Monday I went shopping and got a few things for the trip. Mainly travel snacks like beef jerky, sunflower seeds, drinks, etc... Also picked up some breakfast items to bring. We like the cereal bowls that you just add milk to, and also got some honey buns.

My daughter loves to watch ride videos on YouTube too. Of course they have the opposite effect on her. She saw the "elevator ride" aka Tower of Terror and has ruled that out for life ; )

Just for fun, some of the ideas I'm toying with for our October trip:

MNSSHP for our DDs 10th birthday, but no idea what to do during the day before that.

BOG again, depending on how we like it.

HDDR, haven't done this one since March 2010. We loved it then!

Still waiting to see where we will be staying. My in-laws own RCI/Bluegreen and are trying to trade into DVC. They have had a search set up since March of 2014 but we haven't been matched with anything yet. They are searching for 2 2 bedrooms villas, and are only searching at BLT and AKL. I've tried hinting that we will never get that at BLT. Hopefully we have a good chance with AKL. I do wish they would expand the seach to anything on property though.
And we don't really have a back-up plan yet, so I'm not sure what we will do if we don't match with something soon.

Have you thought about maybe doing one of the water parks or mini golf? Those would be fun activities for the morning before MNSSHP.

We're backkkkkk! And of course we had a fabulous time. It was everything I wanted and MORE. The girls were SUPER surprised! We decided to tell them the night before, just because it was so much and I still had packing to do. I was already stressing about getting everything ready for 2:30am, when we would have woken them up. I'm glad we decided to tell them that night.
They both had baseball games, but we told them we had a surprise for them. We got them fed and bathed, then put them on the couch for the big reveal!

My oldest had the reaction I was hoping for, while my youngest was more concerned about the glow sticks
Even the next morning, they were still asking me if it was true.

DH headed to bed and the girls and I finished packing and popped some popcorn and settled in front of the TV. I was way too excited to sleep, but they fell asleep around 11. I woke up at 2:15, took a shower and started loading the car. DH woke up around 2:45 and we were in the car for 3am!

Next up: The drive, and our check-in at POFQ!

After all those hours in the car, I'm happy to be OFF the road for a while!

Day 1: Heading to Disney World!​

We were ready to hit the road by 3am after a few hours of sleep. The girls and I were so excited that we barely slept. We settled down with our pillows and blankets and DH had his sunflower seeds, beef jerkey, energy drinks and diet coke!

Disney is a 10.5 hour drive for us, with stops. We have flown a few times, which is nice, but it really isn't a bad drive. And our girls are very good travelers. We have a very comfortable suburban that has a DVD player to keep them occupied!

The girls and I all got a few hours of sleep before stopping at McDonalds for a very quick breakfast.

I took over for a few hours after that, and I got a text message around 10am that our room was ready! I did online check in and we were set!

After a couple of potty breaks, another driver switch and a stop for a snack, we pulled into our resort around 1:30 local time. The time change had us jumping ahead an hour, so it felt like 12:30 to us.

This was our first time staying at this resort, we have previously stated at Port Orleans Riverside and really enjoyed it. I didn't put in any room requests other than what was available to check during the online check-in. I asked for a ground level room that was close to the lobby. We received a ground level room in building 7. Building 7 is pretty much the furtherest from the lobby. However, this resort is so compact that is was a very easy walk. The busses would have been fairly close to us, but the bus stop was under renovation. So busses were relocated to building 3, which was on the other side of the resort from us. Still, nothing to complain about. Probably about a 4 minute walk.
We really really loved this resort. It was so small and quiet. We had great luck with the bussess and really enjoyed the food court, arcade and pool. We would stay here again for sure!

We quickly unpacked and got ready to head to Magic Kingdom! We had a highly anticipated dinner with a certain beast and some fast passes to use!

How exciting! Can't wait to read more. Your girls are adorable. I can't believe you kept the secret as long as you did! I would be bursting to tell. I'm glad your ride was easy. It takes us 17 hours plus stops and it is rough. Can't wait to see your BOG pictures!
