so I'm booked for a trip September 12-18. I've been reading trip reports for September and now I'm a little worried about rain. I think my February trip might of ruined all other times for me. I've been In August so I figured I could deal but now I'm worried. Can you past September folks help easy my concern???? Lol

Last September was a record breaker I think for rain.

We hated it. We had so much fun once October roller around mid trip. We have sworn off September.

We were there the first two weeks of September last year and saw no more rain than normal for that time of the year. Yep - it rained almost every day, but the rain was short lived and we had a great time.

Same here, after 10 September trips, this last year was the worst. It didn't just rain your typical Florida 3:00 rain, it torrentially down poured to were the roads were flooded, sidewalks, etc. Every day of our 11 days was impacted with rain. Our sea world day was awful, we got 3 good hours and they actually told us we might as well leave because everything was shutting down. Every picture we all look awful. When it wasn't raining, the humidity was so bad it might as well have been. We swore off no more September. But that being said, we had many September trips with rain forcast every day and never saw it. I think I have just got to the point that I can't handle that heat too.

We have done over 10 in September and other the the hurricaine one year, it hasn't been that bad. We have done Late May/early June the last 6 times and it is just as bad. Last year was great, it rained just a few times.

Had one day of rain last September when we were at WDW. And that was about a 30 minute rain. Also rained one night between 2AM and 4AM, but nothing that caused us to miss park time.

I've been two or three times in Sept and loved it . NO rain! and low crowds. The only trip I had rain was in June...it was terrible. Don't worry about it. You might really luck up and have great weather. That is what I"m hoping for. I also did a couple of early year trips (one Feb trip - AWESOME) and one late January (COLD). you just never know.

We had a tropical storm when we went in September many years ago. They closed the parks down in the morning. When the parks opened in the afternoon they were empty. It was awesome!

We were at WDW from September 20-27 last year and it was hot and humid and it rained every day, on average for about 30-60 minutes but there was one day where it rained all day/early evening, which just happened to be our MNSSHP night. The early parade was delayed and it was miserable. However it cleared up by around 9 p.m. and we were able to enjoy the parade and get on several rides. I probably wouldn't travel in September again anytime soon just because we're flexible with our vacation dates and there are better times to go in terms of better weather. I also found September to be busy but it was probably because of free dining.

Went once in September and between the daily downpour and the hurricane shutting down my connecting airport resulting in a nightmare of rescheduling/rerouting flights, I swore off September and switched to December

We are going from the 3-20 and I'm worried as well, but I'm thinking positive!! I have been there in February, March, July and October. Had a bit of rain I think almost every trip, with the July and October having a massive downpour a couple times. It really didn't impact us TOO much though. I just keep telling myself that I would rather have a rainy day at Disney then be back at my desk at work!!!!

So true. I've been there in August when a hurricane was off the coast and it was still a good time. I do have flexibility but with low crowds I figured it would be a good time as the dates I could go int oct didn't have a discount and it's hard for me to get away in nov and dec.

I'm just going to think positive and know that it will be fun either way. A little water never stopped the fun. Lol

We went Sept 10-17 last year. We had 1 day of rain in the afternoon for about an hour. We huddled into stores with tons of other people. But that was it! No other rain and didn't affect our plans! I was worried about the rain prior to the trip but turned out to be a non issue! Enjoy your Sept trip!

We went in 2007 mid-Sept and it rained every day in the afternoon. Now last year we went end of Sept/beg of Oct and it rained almost every day all day. Our MNSSHP it rained all night and I felt bad for those dressed up as everyone was wearing ponchos. It was a pain but we just brought out ponchos with everywhere and kept going!!! DH wasn't very happy and said he didn't want to go again during that time, but yet we will be back 9/6 this year! Hoping it's not like last year.

I'm going the same week!! This will be my first time in September as well. In my past trips in October, it was mostly one short shower (ususally on your Epcot day for some reason). However, 2011 there was one day where it rained HARD all day. I always come prepared by buying 6 or 7 of the 98 cent ponchos in the small packs from Walmart. I've rarely had to use them, but no rain will ruin my Disney trip!

Where are you guys staying? We'll be at POR.

We went in Sept. last year and it was a bit rainy. I also found it to be very crowded not like the Septembers of the past

we usually go in September. on every trip there have been a few days with rain showers but nothing that has caused a huge delay or change in our plans. its just very hot in September, so that is why this trip is in December since we are going with a few people who cant do the heat that great

Last September we seemed to have little sunshine but not actually much rain. It was just cloudier than normal. I only remember really dealing with rain the first day and one other day. The clouds were actually nice--no one was squinting in pictures and it felt cooler than normal for September.

I've been in September five times and never once has it rained enougb to really ruin our trip.

It is not the rain it was the humidity that made us vow to never go back in September again, however since Sept 7th is my nieces birthday, we probably will.

How we coped with the rain. Umbrellas and rain ponchos! What is great about the rain? It cools down the temperate and send the light weights running for the parking lot.

We took a change of clothes for the kiddos just in case. The it also best to do your homework and know which attractions and food service is indoors, so that when it rains you can make the most of it. We had a severe thunderstorm in our Sept visit and I saw it rolling in, the clouds were so dark and we ducked in to meet Tinkerbell because the line was 60 minutes long and waited out the storm and got to meet Tink and Friend.

Don't be afraid of the rain! Come prepared and enjoy the near empty parks.
