How do they find out who is causing trouble? Are they being reported?
I would have to assume that's the case, but it wasn't me reporting.

They have access to a posters IP address. They know which IPs are causing trouble. They are not going to delete any new account by accident.
Oh no accusations from me but I find all of this pretty strange. As Mickey&Mouse just asked how would anyone know if the new poster was just an innocent new member or a troublemaker.I would have to assume that's the case, but it wasn't me reporting.

By the way, what is the "PR Team" thing someone mentioned earlier?
Since you appear to have the inside scoop, then hypothetically if a truly new poster were to sign up, and lets say post negatively about FP+ for instance- right off the bat- would they be safe to continue posting or on the chopping block?
The PR posts are deleted now as far as I know. Because they were essentially bullying people.Oh no accusations from me but I find all of this pretty strange. As Mickey&Mouse just asked how would anyone know if the new poster was just an innocent new member or a troublemaker.

I'm not understanding what's strange about this. People were being insulting to specific posters. Those posters are now mistrusting because who knows who is going to troll them next. They may check a new poster's posts. But nowhere does anyone say they report all people who are negative towards fp+ or all new posters in general. That was mickey&mouse's suggestion.
I really don't have an inside scoop because like any other Diser, I'm not privy to moderating decisions. If you're really concerned about this I'd email the Disboards Admin about it. Hope that helps.

Well, it's clear you're just trying to be confrontational now. This is a completely unnecessarily sarcastic and rude post. Though quite reminiscent of the "PR" posts and posters in question! Thanks for the tip on contacting the Dis Admin. I actually thought that you and Ambear were the moderators/admin since you both seem to have such intimate knowledge of the inner workings- hence my questions lol.
What was my suggestion? The hypothetical question I posed while attempting to get clarification on a somewhat murky posting *violation* that apparently got some posts and posters removed? Again, in all the confusion over what's allowed to be posted lately, looking into posting histories, talk of a "PR Team", etc- I just thought that several of you guys were working for DISboards and continually jumping into threads to make sure people tow the line. I guess posts, like appearances, can be deceiving.

That's all? That's boring.
I just wanted to fit in?
Seriously? And what would you say if one poster called another posters post boring??

I have a ton of trouble staying in the Disney bubble in California. There is so much to do and see there!

Can we come stay in the on-site room you aren't using?! For real!!!! This could be mutually beneficial! PM me!!
This a totally new business model! Instead of renting DVC points, you rent a room at a discounted rate from someone who just wants the FP+ privileges.
Nope, not at all happy about that. I realize that I'm in the minority, but I am 100% in favor of deluxe resort guests receiving more perks than moderate/value guests. And moderate resort guests should receive more perks than value resort guests. And value resort guests should receive more perks than offsite guests.
I'm not sure how people can argue that "onsite should get more perks than offsite because they are giving Disney more money" without seeing how the same logic applies when discussing deluxe vs. value guests. Same principle.
As far as the onsite vs. offsite debate: I recognize that Disney deluxe resorts are absolutely not "deluxe" in the real world..the only thing truly deluxe about them is their price and their proximity to the World. They are beautiful, clean, and creatively themed, but certainly not deluxe. That being said, I am willing to pay the high prices for the experience of staying in the Disney bubble 24/7, and therefore don't mind forgoing the true deluxe experience in favor of Mouse Immersion. It is well worth it to us, but I can appreciate that others may feel differently. We have friends who can only take Disney in 8-hour bites; by the time their day in the park is done, they are OVER Disney and don't want to see another pair of mouse ears until they arrive back in the parks the next morning. (After thinking about it, I cannot understand how we are friends, lol).
