I can't cancel online. So weird. My earlier reservation was wonky when I tried to modify it so I just booked a new one and then it wouldn't let me cancel the original one. I'll call in a few days and if they are pissed off at me I'll ask to speak to their supervisor.

Anyone have issues modifying for POP, but a new reservation is working just fine? It says no new offers if I try to modify but comes up new.

I was unable to get through via the phone, but had no issues going in and modifying our POP package to include FD. Good luck!

I was in the same boat 5kidsmommy, so you are not alone

Personally, I wanted a specific resort and room view - FD would have been a bonus, but not at the risk of not getting my dates, resort or room. Not realistic to wait and expect any availability. As it is, our dates do not fall within the FD offer...would it have been any different if I had waited? Doubtful with the millions of people booking vacations.

We've stayed at CBR 3 times. The first two years it was wonderful! Last year was horrible. I hope it was a fluke. We had major housekeeping issues. Our towels were replaced every day, but our room never got cleaned. We finally called to ask for it to be cleaned, and no one ever came! Check-in was also stressful, as we were booked for a Preferred room and requested a water view...and the CM said there was no such thing as a Preferred room with a water view (Huh? We stayed in a Preferred room with a water view twice before). So, while I don't know if we'll ever go back there after that experience, I would still recommend it to others. I still follow the CBR board, and i haven't heard any other complaints (other than a few from that same week that we were there. Short staffed maybe?)

Just when I thought I had it, weird stuff starts to happen. Had a POR Preferred w/FD. Confirmed that, went through everything.

Got the email saying CBR Preferred with a QS dining Plan...?

MDE App has original reservation listed...?

Then My Reservation on the web site has CBR Preferred three adults, two adult DPs and one child DP...?

And of course the phone is useless.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one with this issue. I booked online this morning at CSR and have the exact same issue. I thought perhaps I did something wrong when I booked. Surely I didn't accidentally downgrade to Quick Service? Pretty sure the only options were Dining Plan and an upgrade to Deluxe Dining Plan. Nothing but busy signals on every number I try.

I really hope CBR is worth it. I was all for doing a value but I was overruled by the guy paying (hubby) and the birthday girl (daughter). I've told her though that since we are staying there we are going to be using the amenities. I am looking forward to some hut tub time.

We are thinking alike. We cut a night and park day off of our package in order to absorb this PH fee that I know we will not use. With the room rates going up this year and the PH option my vacation price for 5N/4D at Pop is $1827 vs 6N/5D last year at sports for $1641. That is $186 more this year for one less night/day. This free dining isn't so free anymore!

Last year we stayed October 3-11, so 8N/7D with 6 day base tickets in a pool view room at POP with free dining for $2400. This year, because of the ticket and room type upgrade requirements, our package for 9N/8D is $3120. We opted for the water park & more option because we would be more likely to use that as park hopper and, in all technicality, it acts as a park hopper itself just not within the 4 base parks. If I move to ASSp, I shave it down to $2700. If I reduce it by that extra night, I shave it down an additional $150 which takes the total cost to $2550 for 8N/7D with water parks & more. Only $150 more than last year, so at that point I'm still saving given the extras from the ticket add-on.

Same here! I've called two different numbers 50 times each. My sis seems to think if we wait and call tomorrow they'll help us, I've never done this so idk.

Waited for 2 hours. Worked with the lady for another 1.5 hours. Got 5 of our 6 reservations updated and then the call dropped in the middle of the last room! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

I hope it's worth it to. We have only ever stayed at POR and love it. We did pay full price last year for everything but didn't want to do that again and don't want to wait our every other year routine schedule.
I'm so scared of CBR LOL, don't know why. But our first set of dates we could only confirm AoA so not sure which one to go with.

I woke up for some reason at 1:30 am Pacific time and decided to check Disboards for updates since FD wasn't available when I went to bed an hour or so earlier. Since the boards were down, I logged into MDE via my iPhone browser and was able to modify my existing Sept 12-19 reservation at Pop. I was so happy I couldn't fall asleep for another hour or so. I'm really sorry to hear about all the trouble folks have been having this morning.

We love POP, over POR actually. The buses are amazing, you can walk to AOA to explore and then eat there too (yummy foods at the food court). There are kids of all ages at POP. We've gone just as adults too and had a great time. The theming really makes you feel like you're at Disney (something we missed at POR). You'll have a great time!

Take heart, and know that you'll wonder why you ever had any doubts about POP

For one, I noticed a wide range of ages when stayed there last May, so I don't think your teens will feel out of place! Though there isn't a slide like at CBR, the pools are very nice. The bus transportation is great, the food court has lots of variety, and the rooms are bigger than I expected. Overall, I would say I was pleasantly surprised with POP, and I'm happy we will be staying there again. I hope you guys have a fantastic trip!

Pop is our absolute favorite resort. There is only one bus stop, the atmosphere is very fun, lots of food options, including an awesome ice cream shop (dessert or snack credit), and with AoA so close, your food and shopping options are doubled. The staff is also very friendly. I really can't say enough about how awesome it is.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I have to say that I am now super excited that we are trying something new this year. It doesn't sound like we'll have any regrets
