Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Just a heads up that the Disney World booking site has been down for the past few hours. Message states "booking is currently unavailable." I don't know that we can read too much into this as the site has been riddled with glitches & technical difficulties for a long time. However, they might be updating their special offers in anticipation of next week? :)
Yeah...let's go with that! I like to stay in the positive rumor mill!

Okay...so I'm going away for the weekend. I will probably not view the boards until Monday! I imagine there will be a million posts to look through. For those of you keeping track everyday....I hope you get more and more clues before Monday! Aloha! Fingers and toes crossed!

Enjoy the weekend away. Here is to hoping that the PH or WPF ticket req is wrong but the dates are right.

I don't think my welcome packet mentioned the gift card either, but I still got it after meeting the requirements.

My mom did this as well and spent the 500$ 6 weeks ago and still no gift card. I am trying not to panic lol. How long did it take for you to get your gift card?

IF the Rumor comes true of needing to add either park hopper or water parks, try to check the park hours before making your decision which to choose, especially those traveling in September. Park hours are greatly reduced during this quieter time of year.

We have a 9 night trip booked in Sept and 7/9 of those nights the latest park closing time is 9:00 at Epcot with other parks closing earlier. If you tend to book 5:00 or later dinner reservations and think you'll switch parks after supper, it may not be an option. I opted out of adding the park hopper after reviewing the hours.

I'm sure it will still be a good option for many, just wanted to mention what I'd encountered.

Keep in mind that park hours for September will be adjusted in August once crowd levels are better known. The schedules realeased initially are very limited.

Yes both are good points. I found that the hours I read on all my vacations ended up with Extra Magic Hours or other changes to later when I was there. The only good thing about Park hopper is if you want to go from AK which closes by 6ish, and you want to go over to MK or Epcot for a dinner ADR. Or something like that. No you don't get a lot of chances for rides if you have and ADR in the park. The other thing we have used Park hopper for is if we get to a park that seems unusually crowded, we can hop out to another park. This has happened with MK and we headed over to Epcot.

But yes for the $$ you have to weight the option. With us being 2 adults, we can hop easy. Those of you with children...not so easy.
But the above is definitely something to consider.

:bday: Smitch!

I'm a TA and I have not received any word from Disney. Most of the information you are getting from TA's is simply speculation based on historical data and rumors. I'm on the board so I know when it comes out for myself (going in sept) and to have a heads up for a very busy day at work.

So excited! My mom's disney visa came yesterday! Also, have any of you did the refer a friend application where you're supposed to get the $200 gift card? My mom signed up through someone but the welcome packet didn't mention the gift card. Is that normal?

We just got ours recently too with no mention of gift card. We called to verify and they said it was in the system and would send automatically after requirement met. Could take 6-8 weeks I believe I read somewhere but have read of people getting them sooner.

I've always booked directly through Disney for all of our vacations but after reading the perks of working with a TA I'm rethinking things. Can you get better deals with a TA than just booking through Disney directly?

Mine came right after my first statement after I charged the $500. Maybe a week after I received my statement.

Told my DH that I'm glad I'm no a travel agent because Vacation is sacred stuff. And I would not want to be the blame (real or imagined) for someone to not get what they wanted for a vacation. I'm sure TA's have good times too but God bless you as for me that one oops can be so frustrating.

I thought about calling a Disney TA but as someone else posted the other day, I can't give up control of my vacation plans. The last time I did a TA she was upset that I wanted control over when my ADRs were scheduled. Ya no let the decision be mine so when I am running I'm not cursing you. LOL

pixiedust: to all you TA's out there with your ramped up busy times a coming.

If the rumor about requiring park-hopper or WP&M is true, this makes the room-only discount SO much more attractive for us.
We're two adults/1 kid, going for 10 nights, hoping to stay deluxe. If I did the math right, FD would save us about $1300, RO would save about $1250.
Having to add to the ticket cost would not give us any incentive to go during FD dates, then. If no RO discount comes out for our dates, then, I think we'd just drop to a value. Am I making sense, or did I screw up somewhere?

That's not good for me. I know it says 6-8 weeks but I think I might call and maybe they can track it. I'm worried it got lost or someone stole it.

I asked this some many pages back but I did not see a response.
I found some of the answers to my BB question, but the one I still can't find and won't know until I get there and ask but curious anyway cause all of you are so smart!! (Like that run on sentence?)

With Bounce Back offers.....Do you have to know who your party will be or can you just book the room with your name and give the guest names later? Or modify the guest names?
Anyone have experience with that?
