Welcome all,

Starting this thread to track and discuss the FE. I will try to keep the list updated.

To register for it normally just post your first names (or nicknames) and your cabin(s) number. If you wish you can also provide ages, special occasions that you are celebrating or special characters.

Are you going to split the FE groups...for example, in groups of 10?

If people want to split the group if it gets to large I was thinking (barring popular vote) that it would close at 50 and another one open until it either gets to 50 or we reach a cut off date. Normally that is around 30-45 days before sailing.

Just remember I only volunteered to manage the lists and help where I can. I am not going to force people into a particular way of doing things. The idea is to have fun, enjoy and relax while doing an FE. What ever the group wants to do I am good with it. If the group wants to split in groups of 10 as mentioned in you other post go for it. Only thing I would want to know up front is do we mean groups of 10 cabins or 10 people? Cabins is easy to divide, people would be a bit more difficult to swap around.

I'm ok with the cap at 50ish people. (Round about since you can't cut a cabin in half. Lol). Whatever is easier.

Thanks for heading the FE up for our cruise. My daughter and I would like to participate in the FE. We signed up on the cruise meet thread but not sure if we need to sign up here also. This

Thanks Jim for the reply. I was suggesting by cabin. It is only a suggestion as some people may prefer a smaller group due to cost, luggage room, etc. I personally have not participated in a group of 50 cabins and am totally open to what the majority would like to do. The other FE group for this cruise is having groups of 10 with the option to be in as many groups you choose.

Is anyone interested in choosing a "theme" for our group? I don't know if that's the usual thing or not, but when we did a Pixar cruise a few years ago, people came up w/ ideas and voted on the theme... the one chosen was, "To San Francisco and Beyond!" I thought that was clever and some people used it in their FEs...

(On a separate note, I had trouble opening the original file but the new one in this thread worked easily- thanks! Also, our family will be choosing Aliases soon and I'll get that info in so the file can be updated.)

Sabine/Spectre 5- DD8- Belle, Sabine, Minnie, Anna, Elsa

"Uncle Grandpa" (from Cartoon Network... I tried to get him to choose a Star Wars Rebel name like the rest of the family- especially since it was originally his idea- but he rebelled against that, LOL!)- DS11- Baymax, Perry, Stitch, Mickey, Zeb

Thanks for updating the list, Jim. I think my daughter's favorite characters got missed from the list, though. (Sabine/Spectre 5: Belle, Sabine, Minnie, Anna, Elsa). Also, could you put my son's alias, "Uncle Grandpa", in quotes? I'm hoping that'll make it more obvious it's a character name, not that he's actually the Uncle or the Grandpa of the group, LOL.

Did we decide to close this out around 50 people? So like w/ the next cabin? I'm a planner so would love to have the final list soon if people agree to closing the group (allowing, of course, new groups to continue forming).

Jim - for our last cruise DCL would not assign us a meeting place until right before the cruise. How did you get the Promenade Lounge reserved already? There is another group of cruisers for this cruise also, with plans for a meet and for mixology and FE. I will let them know about your plans. Everyone is so excited about this cruise - it's going to be wonderful!

Jim, are you going to provide everyone in the group with that cool magnet (for a price of course) to put on our doors to identify us to each other? Or how do we get one? Very nice. I also am a planner and have been gathering things to make. I think cutting it at 50 people is plenty. Coming from the east coast all the stuff has to be flown with us! I would like to throw this out there: doing a room surprise pkg then maybe a little daily surprise. Nothing big just like put a new magnet on their door or just something in the FE hangar? Any thoughts.

Yakmister: An easy way to make the Millipie image into a magnet is to click on it, then right click, and "save image as". Then open MSWord and chose "insert-->picture-->from file". Select the image and it should show up there. You can size it by clicking on it and "grabbing" any of the corners w/ your mouse, then dragging it in or out. Then print on regular paper or cardstock, laminate, and add magnets to the back. Or print on magnet paper. Though maybe someone want to make these into magnets for everyone as their FE gift?

As for how to do the gifts (one main gift and/or small daily gifts), I prefer to leave that to each person. For us, once around deliveries to every room works best.

So excited for this cruise! We just PIF last week and are "biting at the bit" to be able do online checkin. We're Silver members so have to wait till May 19th!

Hello all,

PIF for us this week. We are counting until May 2nd for checkin and port adventures.

Updated and closed the 1st FE list. Closed out with 55 people in 15 cabins.

As for "reserving" the Promenade the groups have never reserved it. It's open space and we normally just meet up. Please let the others know about and ask them to join. The more the merrier.

Yay! I see the updates you made for our family to the spreadsheet- thanks, Jim!

Our first cruise was IGT so everything was very last minute. We booked this one on opening day and it's great to have so much "lead time" in the planning.... getting started on my FEs this weekend!
