Why yes, yes they DO! AND an effective way to stem the fighting is to leave the perpetrator deviceless. It's a punishment worse than death when trapped in the car for a loooong ride.

What did WE do when we were kids and we didn't have these devices? Oh the agony!

~NM

I know what I did, when I wasn't barfing the signs for South of the Boarder kept me entertained, lol.

I am so excited to be at the Yacht Club, any first time advice?
Have a Sunken Treasure at HH while sitting by the pool. You have to ask for it by name as it's not on the menu of the drinks they serve but when you ask, they will know you are a knowledgable member of the DIS. You have to go to the lobby of the BC on Sunday or Monday and say hi to our favorite greeter. Be sure to catch the fireworks from WS while sitting around the beach or standing on the dock with your grey goose slushi that you brought back in your plastic mug from France (they won't let you out of the park unless you hide the fact that you have it). Use the "secret entrances" a couple of times and you will feel like you know the place. And above all, have a really MAGICAL time.

:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1Totally off topic but just thinking the Sunken Treasure would make a perfect St Patrick's Day drink ! Don't know that it's a good sign that this was my waking thought this morning but hey I'm Irish so what can I say lol:tilt::bounce::thumbsup2

:goodvibes:

My waking thought is that tomorrow is Pi day, 3/14/15, and I need to get to the store to pick up a strawberry-rhubarb and a lemon meringue to celebrate at 9:26 tomorrow morning. What can I say, I'm a math geek!!! :teacher:

Someone has been paying attention!!!

;)

In addition to the excellent advice from katesdad, don't forget that you can grab a quick breakfast at Ale & Compass in the YC lobby, or if you are looking for a late night nosh, the Crews Cup lounge has excellent food and drink in a quiet atmosphere.

:)

Has anyone seen Mickey Waffles at the Marketplace? or where might I be able to find Mickey Waffles from a QS around Crescent Lake?

Thanks. That gives me a couple places I can get stuff from. Downtown Disney will have a lot of changes since I was there last. Less than 50 days to go now. Still haven't made any room requests yet lol. How far a walk is it from a room overlooking the canal to the walkway around the lake? I've stayed in a pirate room at CBR before so I'm thinking I'll probably think its not that far.
A lot depends on room location but I would guess it would probably be around six minutes to walk there. It isn't a very big resort. :)

My suggestion would be to ask for a room near the lobby if you have a standard or garden view room booked. You would be conveniently near the bus stop, the boat dock and SAB, the main pool.

The only CS place to get Mickey waffles is Picabu at the Dolphin.

Oh now you see I've so far not succumbed to the urge to rush out and buy green alcoholic drinks given that it is just about lunch time but pie??? No reason not to eat pie lol. Could go for Key lime pie and stick with my green theme lol. Luckily I'm heading away for the wweekend or I might be found sitting surrounded by empty sunken treasure glasses munching on pie all while wearing my green shirt and sporting my shamrock!!!:shamrock: Scary vision!!!

Disney Math and the Commercial/Shows Work:
Just had to share my excitement with all of you as I know you can all appreciate "Disney Math." We have been going to Disney in October for the last three years and planned on going again this year but hadn't firmed up our plans yet. October is coincidentally my youngest daughters b-day month so my older daughter has been complaining that we always go for her sisters b-day and not hers. My older daughter will be turning 8 in May, well the other day we were watching one of the Disney commercial/shows on the Travel Channel and I said to my husband we should just go in May for Olivia's birthday. Well the show must have been having the affect on him because he said OK - yippee :yay:. Unfortunately followed-up by "but just May right, not October too" boooo . Well then the beloved "Disney Math" kicked in and I said, well if we buy Annual Passes that would more than cover the cost for two sets of tickets... plus then we would get a discount on rooms... o plus then we can get tables in wonderland and on it went until we bought the Annual Passes and booked Animal Kingdom for May and Beach Club with a magical deal for October. Think the "Disney math" is over, nope, because of course when I was online I saw that we could upgrade our Savannah view room to Club Level for only $40 more per day and well that just pays for itself then doesn't it :rolleyes1.

So all that to say, can you add us to the BOG list Oct 3 - 9th followed by Wilderness Lodge for 2 nights. Teena have your pins ready for October, I hope you will be there because everyday of our trips they ask if they can "go pin trade with Tenna"

The best part is they have no idea we are going in May and won't until they get off the bus and we throw them into the car :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

very sneaky! I like the way you think!:D

I'm making a pie tomorrow (or maybe tonight for eating at breakfast). It's essentially a cream pie with shaved chocolate and rum in it. Delish.

Would you consider please sharing the recipe with us? Thanks!

This thread is so full of great info!

I was so excited to see the Frozen summer announced for this year. Do you know if the fireowrks will be visable from SAB? How do they do them so they don't conflict with illuminations?
