12 Hollywood Studios Rumors (A Disney Rumors video is on pg. 1) and (an update is on pg. 16)

I would personally like to see some sort of walkway added down by ToT and Fantasmic that maybe cuts through at Highland to the Animation courtyard

That again, would free up a heft amount of space.

Personally, i find the show dull as dishwater, so wouldn't be sad to see it go.

I hope The Muppets get saved from Star Wars land and stays but with a new movie.

Then use the Streets of America/ Stunt Show area for something else if Pixar is going in the backlot tour and Star Wars is going in Eco Lake.

Not sure what would be a good fit though.

I agree, I've been wanting the same thing for years. I dislike unnecessary walking like what they have at Hollywood and Animal Kingdom. I wish you could walk in a more circular route like at the other two.

I just talked to my great uncle again the other day. He still seems confident with what he told me before. He said that there is 0 chance that a new park will be built in the next 10 years, they've already got their hands completely full with their existing ones. If they are going to build something it will be housing areas and resorts.

Just booked my FPs for April 21 and saw that Lights, Motors, Action is down that day. Is it just for the day, or is this the start of the overhaul?

LMA lost its sponsor. This plus renovation plans don't make this one look long for this life.

I think the Muppet Theater would be a great place for a Muppet Star Wars spoof film. I'd love to get the original on 3d Blu-Ray, though. I'd also love to see a great Muppet dark ride one day.

I hope they keep the Muppets somehow. They can update the movie including the characters from the new movies. Or a Muppets Star Wars spoof film like you said, that would be hilarious.

These rumors all sounds pretty good to me! My only real stipulation is that I want the park to expand with more than one franchise. I don't want the whole park to be Star Wars or Pixar themed (much as I love them both!). I'd rather see a Pixar area, a Star Wars area, an Indiana Jones area, etc. so there's something for everyone.

The Backlot Tour closure is just an indicator of what's to come. From someone who loves the park but also a paying customer, I feel it would better to close the park. I know this sounds ridiculous but guests are still paying a lot of money to get into the park yet quite a few of the attractions are closing and Toy Story Mania wait time is huge.
In the regards to the Backlot Tour, I think something like expanding Pixar Place Studios encorporating a lot of their movies so you're not just copying Radiator Springs from Disneyland would be cool. An Incredables roller coaster would be cool. An UP style Spider-Man/Transformers ride could work. I'm not sure what attraction you could create for Monsters Inc.
Bob Iger has said a Star Wars 'themed' is coming so that will probably have coasters and Spiderman 'type' rides incorporated somewhere to compete with Universal and IOA.
It's a shame they can't include some sort of Marvel element somewhere which would make it the ultimate movie theme park-Disney; Pixar; Lucasfilm and Marvel.
The front of the park needs a complete updating. For an entertainment company with Broadway shows like Lion King and Disney On Ice, the Musicals (in my opinion) are SO dated and lack quality such as Beauty And Beast and Little Mermaid.

The shame of this to me is that they are closing things that our family enjoys. Lots of people seem to want these parks to turn into E-ticket extravaganza's to compete with US and IOA. I want them to stay family friendly, a mixture of E, D, C, B ticket rides. Beauty and the Beast doesn't work? I get it, but lets add either a Disney musical overview (excerpts from many shows), or rotate through different shows periodically. The kids love catastrophe canyon and the torpedo show, and these are low thrill but high fun. Despite the venom towards it here, my kids love LMA. We see it every year and they love it. Instead of replacing things, I really want them to focus on filling in the blank areas with things. There are something like 5 completely empty buildings, and 2-3 areas that are ready for attractions but have nothing. The kids love the animation courtyard but feel there is so much more they can add over there. Not everything needs a $100 million thrill ride. We definitely need a few, but DHS already has a few. Maybe one more, but give us a mixture of other things too. Love the Indy stunt show, love the kids Jedi academy, but they need to expand the Lucasfilm presence, not just a star wars land. Star Wars is awesome, but don't invest huge chunks of capital in one franchise. So many ideas that are good. Just stop spending half a billion on two rides. Give us some variety. I love the theme as much as the next person, but this AK expansion is almost ridiculous. Maybe there is more to it than we can see now, but holy cow. At half a billion, I could have designed and built 20-25 rides/experiences at DHS and EPCOT with ease.

Ughh. Frustration is oozing everywhere with this.

Most people didn't like the Backlot Tour and the Pirates thing. So they had to get rid of them and replace them with attractions that people do. You say that you want to keep the family rides and shows for the kids, but wouldn't it be better to have new Pixar related rides instead. Rather than just tired old rides like Backlot Tour, whose better days are far far behind it.

There's a reason why Toy Story Mania is always a madhouse, they don't have enough big time attractions in DHS. It had gotten so bad that you have to fastpass it in the morning now. Like it or not Backlot was occupying valuable real estate much like Jaws was at Universal Studios.
