If you are going to an early breakfast at Crystal Palace, then the bus is probably the best way to go. It will take you directly to the MK gates. If you are driving, unless you park at one of the resorts (not sure what the valet rules or if a time limit applies), you would have to park at the TTC and take either the monorail or ferry from the TTC to the MK entrance.

If you are concerned with a morning bus not being there in time, you could take a taxi to the Contemporary resort and walk from there. That would take less than 30 minutes, so if there was no bus arriving in time to get you there this could be a backup.

:thumbsup2

Just last Friday we left our room at Caribbean Beach resort at 7:15 am and hopped on a bus to the Magic Kingdom. We arrived at 7:40-ish and were waiting in line at 7:50 am when they let those of us with early ADR's in to the Magic Kingdom. We then had plenty of time to stroll up Main street, check out the freshly opened FP+ MK wishes viewing area in the newly finished Hub areas and we could take a picture with the Castle Crane AND Walt and Mickey in the Big Green Box (W&MiBGB). Our ADR's were for 8:40am but it is not a problem if they let you in at 7:40 am. In past years we have ridden the Paddy Wagon car with Miss Barbara :love1: before our early morning ADR's.:thumbsup2

To contrast this, earlier in the week we had to be at the Magic Kingdom by 7:15 am for our Behind the Steam Trains tour. We called Mears taxi company THE NIGHT BEFORE 1-407-422-2222 and arranged for a 6:15am pick up. This early time was to allow for any kerfuffle with the taxi company (none occurred) and the inevitable 78 year old Dad's need to run to the men's room a million times a day. We took the taxi TO THE CONTEMPORARY, Dad used the Men's room, walked over to the MK, went through bag check, Dad used the Men's room by the right entrance again, and then the tour started. There was one more Men's room stop when the tour returned to the Main Street train station and then another Men's room stop before we left to return to the hotel room where I'm sure the Man went AGAIN!

The moral of this story is that the buses do start running early enough to get you to those first available breakfast reservation times at the restaurants in the parks. For the special early morning starting park tours you are going to want to cab it. And if you are traveling with my Dad be aware of the location of every men's room in WDW because he is going to want to use them all!! :scared:

In one week I make my ADR's for my trip. We have the dinning plan. I have Beaches and Cream on my list for dinner before we head back to HS for Fantasmic. Does anyone know if you are limited to what you get on the dinning plan there? We do need to pay out of pocket for 1 meal. I don't know if it should be at Beaches or at Via Napoli.

Also, has anyone had their daughter done up at the spa at the Beach / Yacht Club? I will be booking that vs BBB for my two girls. I just wonder if anyone had any feed back.

last question, how far from Beach Club is the Yacht Club spa?

Thank you very much for your help.

You can get anything but the kitchen sink on the plan but it's pretty cheap so I did OOP for beaches & cream. Especially if you split a dessert or two because they're huge!

Can somebody tell me how to insert a photo? I tried the technical support board, but the thread was from before the Board changed.

You need to copy the picture url and paste it. Once you have copied it, hit the mountain icon next to the smiley face.

When I am in a reply box, the middle option is upload a file. I click on that, then find the picture on my computer and Open it. (Sometimes the picture is too large, so I have to go into Paint and resize it first). I place my position cursor where I want the photo to go, then I click where it says Thumbnail or Full Size, and it will insert the photo.

I have not used the landscape icon button yet. I'll try that.

What would be the best way to get to from YC to MK for early morning ADR? We are renting a car and have parked at GF valet in the past for a few hours, but can we leave the car there all day? TIA.

If you pay for valet, then yes you can park there all day. Personally I would take the bus to MK. Buses start rolling at 6:30AM for early ADRs. I only like to drive/taxi when going from resort to resort for early ADRs. Just my $.02

If you pop your email to Microsoft outlook then there is a much faster way to resize your pictures than using Paint. I hated that process...was taking me forever. Check out this shortcut:

I just found out my mom booked a second room. I understand this is not guaranteed to be connecting. Just wondering what the odds are for getting connecting. Does anyone know where you can find a map which shows how which rooms connect? I have looked and looked and can't find one. We will be standard view. Thanks!

There isn't one that I know of. It wouldn't really help you if there was one anyway. Your best bet to get connecting rooms is to call the Main Reservations line with your and your Mom's confirmation numbers. Ask the CM to link the 2 reservations together as traveling together and then make a request to have connecting rooms. Also make that your only request. Then when you check in, ask if you got connecting rooms. If not, ask the CM if there's any way you could get connecting rooms and you're willing to wait for them if they're not ready right away.

Thanks for the great information. Do the rooms actually have a connecting door or are they just next door?

There are some connecting rooms which have an interior door that connects the 2 rooms so you can go between them without going into the hallway.

There are even more adjoining rooms which are next to/close to each other that you have to use the hallway to go between them.

Touring Plans will show if a room is connecting or not. Click on a room on the drawing and scroll down; you will be able to see pertinent info about the room, as well as views. You can view by floor, bed types, etc.

I agree that it won't help to ask for specific room numbers; just ask for connecting rooms. Lately, it seems that almost all of my rooms had connecting doors.

I didn't mention the touring plans room finder because it is extremely inaccurate when it comes to room types. The room views seem to be pretty good, but definitely not the room types.

I booked a water view room since it was the only category left and I normally don't pay for view but decided it was worth the extra but my first room, 1521 had this view - http://i.imgur.com/mnj7VDo.jpg

Didn't want to stare at a towel box for the entire week so we went back to the front desk and got changed to a room on the 4th floor with this view - http://i.imgur.com/hDFoqW6.jpg

I normally don't complain about views but damn, look at the difference between the views! You could see a little of the pool and maybe lagoon if you squinted but yech, they really shouldn't sell the first room as a water view if they don't move the box.

Browncats, what room number were you in on the 4th floor?
