runDisney Forum?

Is there any thought at creating a forum just for runDisney? I notice some threads in here, but knowing how large that community has become (and still growing) just thought that it'd make sense to consolidate all the information for distance running and the runDisney events.

Welcome to WISH and DISBoards!

We have an Events/Competition side to WISH where we discuss the various Disney events as well as other events and many running issues.

DISBoards is not officially connected to Disney and would not have a direct connection the RunDisney business. However, as I understand it, I believe folks from the RunDisney company does come to read our forum from time to time.

I ran my first Goofy last year and am not running it this year. I think I wanted to live vicariously through those running it this year.

I must agree! I had troubles locating running threads! I had to google disboards +rundisney to find this board among others. But thanks to this thread I found events/competition at least!

as stated Events/Competitions is your place to go for RunDisney that's mostly whats on there with a few other things mixed in...

I agree. There is an area for everything else involving Disney. They bury rundisney/racing under wish. Makes no sense to me.

The events/competition board is under WISH as the chatter evolved from users who were on WISH to connect with others for support in living healthy, then started training and entering events as goals. This was ten years ago, and you are right it has evolved and grown much! Unfortunately, in my case my health doesn't allow me to participate like I once did, but I feel the connection to WISH is beneficial for those looking to add events, be it disney or otherwise, to their healthy goals.

I have asked about this more than once!! So far I haven't seen any traction. No idea why.

would love to see a forum split off for runDisney. I get the current location but it does get very confused with the open nature of the WISH forum.
