If you are going to an early breakfast at Crystal Palace, then the bus is probably the best way to go. It will take you directly to the MK gates. If you are driving, unless you park at one of the resorts (not sure what the valet rules or if a time limit applies), you would have to park at the TTC and take either the monorail or ferry from the TTC to the MK entrance.
If you are concerned with a morning bus not being there in time, you could take a taxi to the Contemporary resort and walk from there. That would take less than 30 minutes, so if there was no bus arriving in time to get you there this could be a backup.
Just last Friday we left our room at Caribbean Beach resort at 7:15 am and hopped on a bus to the Magic Kingdom. We arrived at 7:40-ish and were waiting in line at 7:50 am when they let those of us with early ADR's in to the Magic Kingdom. We then had plenty of time to stroll up Main street, check out the freshly opened FP+ MK wishes viewing area in the newly finished Hub areas and we could take a picture with the Castle Crane AND Walt and Mickey in the Big Green Box (W&MiBGB). Our ADR's were for 8:40am but it is not a problem if they let you in at 7:40 am. In past years we have ridden the Paddy Wagon car with Miss Barbara before our early morning ADR's.
To contrast this, earlier in the week we had to be at the Magic Kingdom by 7:15 am for our Behind the Steam Trains tour. We called Mears taxi company THE NIGHT BEFORE 1-407-422-2222 and arranged for a 6:15am pick up. This early time was to allow for any kerfuffle with the taxi company (none occurred) and the inevitable 78 year old Dad's need to run to the men's room a million times a day. We took the taxi TO THE CONTEMPORARY, Dad used the Men's room, walked over to the MK, went through bag check, Dad used the Men's room by the right entrance again, and then the tour started. There was one more Men's room stop when the tour returned to the Main Street train station and then another Men's room stop before we left to return to the hotel room where I'm sure the Man went AGAIN!
The moral of this story is that the buses do start running early enough to get you to those first available breakfast reservation times at the restaurants in the parks. For the special early morning starting park tours you are going to want to cab it. And if you are traveling with my Dad be aware of the location of every men's room in WDW because he is going to want to use them all!!
