I know there was talk about the field turf in that section; is it permanent or just temporary? Just curiousThe west side of the hub is open and wall as are down.

I agree I don't think they could've done real grass with people walking on it. It's much better than just concrete. I also really like that they brought the little character statues back and gave them a real place. The east side should be ready in a couple weeks. The north side and center are really what's left to go.I think that new area looks really good. Saw some people on wdwmagic talking about the turf looking bad but I don't see how anyone can say that.
Very impressed
It is a logistical problem having hundreds walk on it each day. No one likes walking on mud. With that said, it looks bad next to the real grass. The contrast just glares.I agree I don't think they could've done real grass with people walking on it. It's much better than just concrete. ah well that makes sense then. I don't necessarily think it looks great compared to the regular grass but certainly a understandable logistically if people will be walking all over it 365 days a year.Permanent this will be the FP+ viewing area for wishes.
I would like to test the new firework areas. I'm interested on their effects on crowd control.
