I think that new area looks really good. Saw some people on wdwmagic talking about the turf looking bad but I don't see how anyone can say that.

I agree I don't think they could've done real grass with people walking on it. It's much better than just concrete. I also really like that they brought the little character statues back and gave them a real place. The east side should be ready in a couple weeks. The north side and center are really what's left to go.

Also sources are saying besides the spires coming back the theater will receieve new paint and the lights on top of the theater are still there just turned off, no word if they actually work or need upgrading or not.

Between the Hat going for good and Ducktales getting a re-boot. This has been an awesome news day.

GMR just needs a nice lick of paint on the outside as well as the gradual refurb inside

It is a logistical problem having hundreds walk on it each day. No one likes walking on mud. With that said, it looks bad next to the real grass. The contrast just glares.

ah well that makes sense then. I don't necessarily think it looks great compared to the regular grass but certainly a understandable logistically if people will be walking all over it 365 days a year.

Can't complain though, the new area looks very nice

Universal raised ticket prices today following Disney's lead.

1 day 1 park ticket $102
1 day 2 park ticket $147

I really want to test out the new Wishes seating area, too! I was hoping that it would open up more Fast Passes for Wishes since they have opened that area to the public. I checked earlier today and there are no fast passes available during my trip at the end of March. I hope they open them us soon!! It looks like a pretty large viewing area.
