Great report by the way! I'm hoping to book my first cruise with my Mom and Sis and have a girls trip some time next year. I'm half tempted to print out your report and send it to both of them to read just cause I think it would get them excited. :goodvibes

Hi and :welcome: I'm so glad you're enjoying the report. :thumbsup2

Hope you get that cruise booked. I waffled for a few years before actually booking. Try to book to close as opening day as possible. Where are you thinking of cruising to? A girls' cruise would be so much fun!

Really? What ships? Not sure if they're all the same buffets but Joshua said there was lots more than seafood to choose from. That's too bad. I can see how not liking seafood would make a seafood buffet disappointing. ;)

That was on the magic during the Panama Canal cruise. I think they had stuff like chicken fingers for kids but I didn't really feel much like that. They did that a few times on that cruise also they would do a brunch menu in Lumieres in saturdays which was ok.

Must have missed part of the thread but still intrigued...can someone provide a recap and I'm waiting on the to be continued...:badpc:

Sorry for the delay in updates friends, more table mate fun is on the way. We (me and Pam) can only tell the tale in the order in happened. Too jump ahead wouldn't be prudent. :rotfl: ;)

Update on the way.....

Thanks to my good friend Pam and her amazing notes, the tale of Star Bright can be told. We left you with the SOS call being made over head and a group of white shirts scurrying over to the little kid pool area, right near the pizza place. I went over to grab an ice cream cone and to see if I could snag a gander at the hub hub. While I couldn’t see much other than what appeared to be a brunette head, there was a woman next to me who told me that a woman had fallen, she was belligerent, and refused to allow anyone to help her up….ah belligerent, that’s a word to describe the AC at our table. I spoke with the woman for a few minutes and then got my ice cream.

When I got back from getting my ice cream Pam told me that the woman who had *fallen* had just passed by with the CMs and our suspicions were correct: it was indeed our table mate, the female adult child. The CMs looked very serious and the boyfriend was talking with one of the them but the girl said nothing. Can you imagine? Almost missing the boat and now this?

Pam and I chewed the fat about what a total MESS these folks were. At this point we didn’t know much other that they were involved but that she fell, we weren’t buying it, and with good reason.

We chatted some more and made plans for the evening. We saw that Up would be playing on the Funnel Vision at 6 which would be perfect to watch before dinner at Triton’s at 8:15. We said our goodbyes and planned to meet up later.

Joshua and I headed up to the cabin for a snooze. Staying up so late did us both in and it was nap time.

We came back to a perfectly tidy cabin and this cute fella on the bed. He was one of the many very cool FE we had received. I plan to post about the FE gifts but at the end of the report.

We opened the door to the verandah to hear the ocean waves and turned on the tv. To our delight Sleeping Beauty was playing. We both love it. Joshua fell asleep right away. I dosed for about an hour and woke up refreshed. I went out to the deck to enjoy some fresh air. It was fairly windy and the ocean choppy. Love that gentle rocking. :cloud9:

Isn’t this darling?

While Joshua was still asleep I jumped in the shower and when I got out, he was awake. It was his turn next. Can I tell you how awesome those spilt bathrooms are?! I mean seriously. Disney hit a home run with those. It was so nice to be able to get ready without having to share space.

Our cozy cabin.

Joshua had plans to meet his friend Ellie. She wanted to watch Up too and they wanted to go in the jacuzzi.

We made it up to the deck in plenty of time. I grabbed some spots for the four of us. I also grabbed pizza and chicken fingers and fries. What is with the counter service food? It’s SO good and addicting. Pam soon met me and grabbed some pizza too.

It was quite windy on deck and I can’t believe Joshua and Ellie wanted to get wet. :scared: Kids.

Right before the movie started who should Pam and I see but our table mates!!! The boyfriend was rather chatty and buzzed and she looked completely over sedated and drugged up. They came over. She sat with eyes half open and he while buzzed seemed coherent. We asked if she was okay and told him we saw them with the CMs earlier. He said she had a panic attack. Uh huh. I have worked on a locked adult psych unit for 11 years. There was WAY more going on than a panic attack but that’s what he was saying and we weren’t going to argue or pry. He clamored on about her anxiety and how she doesn’t party blah blah blah. It was quite entertaining and there was no reason to call BS as it generally unravels on its own.

As soon as they came, they were gone, and he said they’d see us at dinner.

We laughed our head’s off at what a couple of FOOLS they were and then got back to our wonderful cruise and how simply amazing it was to be haring this time together. We were brand new friends but it felt like we’d known each other for ages.

Aside from less wind, what more could we ask for? We were on a gorgeous Disney ship watching Up. Does it get any better?

Here are a few pics of the ship and the movie. They make a little teary. Such a happy trip, a magical evening.

Up next: dinner at Triton’s, more table mate fun, and a little shopping.

To be continued......

I'm still shaking my head in disbelief! :rotfl:

You had called it though, which made it even funnier

Josh and Ellie looked quite cozy in that hot tub... :)

Loved watching Up with you guys, that Funnel Vision is so great :lovestruc

Watching Up was so fun on the deck. Funnel Vision is brilliant! It was one of my favorite parts of the cruise. :goodvibes

Wasn't Ellie so cute? Joshua had so much fun with her. I met her mom during disembarkation and the kids exchanged info.

I'm still shaking my head too. :rotfl2: :scared:

I wonder what adventures our next cruise has in store? :hyper:

There's another FB group so our cruise has two. I'll keep you posted on any activities. I hope they combine the groups. I'm still negotiating the Mixology. :woohoo: I think Alison joined the first, I'll add her to the second.

Wow. That's all I can say about your tablemates.

I love funnel vision! I love watching movies up there too!

You are making me anxious for my cruise in 60 days. :0)

Those table mates of yours are something else, aren't they?! Panic attack my butt. I wasn't even there and it doesn't sound like a panic attack to me, either.

LOVE Funnel Vision movies! And there IS something incredible about that pizza and chicken fingers on deck - SO good.

Yay to resolution of the table mate mystery! Funny how everyone has their own thing on a Disney cruise. I wasn't all that fond of Funnel Vision (found it hard to hear with all the ambient noise) and while I was grateful for Pluto's, I preferred to get my meals elsewhere when I could. But thats the beauty of the cruise line, something for everyone.

I as going to ask if you were keeping in touch with Josh's friend? They look so cute! What about the tablemates? :lmao: Love Triton's for dinner!

Oh and thanks if you add me to the other cruise group. I've been REALLY busy for the last 10 days. I have 10 days of reduced busy-ness, before it amps up again, this time for almost three weeks. Then we finally have a break for two months before our next cruise! Our PiF date is just around the corner!

Your tablemates really were a walking and talking disaster area. In all my cruises, I have yet to manage watching a movie up on deck.
