Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Information & Questions

I agree. Even though we stayed in a Lion King suite and were very happy with both the theming and location of that room and area, I thought the Cars section was the most immersive area of the resort -- especially at night.
Totally agree!! LOVED Cars day and night, but it was definitely the coolest section after dark. Staying LK this fall since we got a discount and just to try a different part, but I know Cars will always be our fave!

i have a question for everyone who has stayed at AoA!!!

What is your favorite food in the court?!? Everything looks amazing, wondering what I MUST have?!?

I love the make your own pasta bar. We did marinara once and alfredo once and then combined the two for a pink sauce. Plus all the veggies and proteins that you can choose from -- delicious.

I also like the make your own salad. MH loves the surf and surf burger.

For desserts the Nutella gelato is amazing (especially with chocolate chips)

Hi y'all! For some reason I feel like I recall reading you could get (half gallons?) milk at the resort. Maybe in the gifty-type store? Is this true? And are there other snacky type items that can be purchased and maybe stored in the room for breakfast? Thank ye kindly!

Wouldn't mind an answer to this as I have milk coming from Garden Grocer but it may not last the whole trip.

Also- Is there still construction in the AoA food court (tile replacement) and, if so, how disruptive is it?

We are going in September 2015. Originally it was DD24, DBF57 (first visit and 2 years cancer free), and me44 and we were going to stay at BC CL. This week we started thinking about taking my DD BF24 (first visit) and his Daughter3 (first visit) and decided to stay at AOA in a suite, ever though his daughter loves little mermaid. We have decided if her bf and daughter doesn't go with us, we are still staying at AOA. The pictures are amazing, we walked thru while at POP last year.

DH and DS loved the pasta bar. My fave was definitely the tandoori chicken. Second was the chicken burger (thought I'd love the surf and surf, but turned out to like the chicken more).

I can't figure out how to quote multiple posts, but yes, there are grab and go pastries, etc. that you could easily take and keep in your room.

Yes, you can buy 1/2 gallons of milk in the "grab and go" area of Landscape of Flavors. I think it was $2.99 when we were there last year.

Hi everyone! I'm staying at AoA for 2 nights next month and I have questions! I apologize if this has been covered but I'm still working my way through this long, informative thread :).

1) I booked a Family Suite and it says the theme will be chosen at check-in (I couldn't book a particular theme under AP discount). I'd like a Nemo room best, but this doesn't matter to me as much as proximity to the lobby
and the Big Blue Pool. Should I just request "Close to main building"? Has anyone had luck requesting theme when you book the "mystery" category? :). I keep hearing about long, long walks at AoA, but I'm not sure if that only applies to the LM rooms or if ALL the suites are closer.

2). Do the suite buildings have elevators?

3). Does anyone know if the gift shop has recently sold cases of drinking water, and gallons of distilled water?

Thanks for any info!
