Do the designs change annually?

They have not been changing annually, no. The previous design, with lid color variations and then the addition of "RapidFill" labeling, was used from February 2011 until February 2014.

No predictions on how long this new design will be used.

Hi, I have a room only reservation for Aug. 30th. Then we have a package with free dining Aug. 31st. through sept 7th. Would the mugs be activated for the day of our room only (the 30th) or start when our package starts on Aug. 31st Thanks!

You can't start any aspect of a Dining Plan until the day you check in for that package - so your ability to obtain the included mug, and so fill it, would start 8/31.

you used to get vouchers for the mugs. now I would imagine it's on your MDE account.

It doesn't hurt to ask.esp if you get a voucher (or you canask for a voucher?)
I know with the Planet hollywood voucher you get with a package, they often have allowed us to use it the day before.

and the mini gold vouchers? I called and asked about vouchers bothe before AND after the package dates (ie expired). he siad "bring em on in!"

actuallly, now that I think of it, it doesn't matter if they give you the actual mug a day early. the rfid chip won't work! silly me

I'm just trying to get used to all this new-fangled technology "stuf" :rotfl:

I was at ASmovies in early June and bought a mug for the length of my stay. I am going back the last week in July for my daughters first birthday. Can I bring the mug I bought and pay to have it reactivated? I'm
Not trying to cheat the system just trying to save a little money and space in my kitchen.:cool1::dance3:

You can have it reactivated, but they will charge you the same amount as what a new mug would cost.

can you get ice with a regular cup? and can you use the TIW card at AOA for the mugs? (I am guessing no but thought I would ask)

When I bought mine at Pop in January they said (not sure why she felt the need to mention this as I wasn't asking about it and was buying food) that the TIW discount would NOT come off of the mug.

But then it did, automatically.

Wouldn't the mug be at a CS location and not eligible for TiW?

They take TIW at the value resorts and yes, we did get our cups at 20percent off a couple years ago. Their food courts are included.

So TiW gets 20% off only at the value resorts? You can use the same mugs at any resort so if one was to visit a value resort early in their trip, this is good info to know to save few bucks!

Now let's bury this thread before Disney sees it and removes that savings!

The reason the food courts are included at the Value resorts is because they do not have TS. There were CS at Animal kingdom included in TIW as well because for quite a long time no TS there either. I wonder when that will change. There used to be a CS in MK as well but I have never seen it opened for yrs

We were able to use our TIW discount on our mugs at POFQ, we saved approx $10 on 3 mugs. Plus, we were able to get them reactivated to cover our 18 days.

I did wonder if we could have got the same discount in the Kidani shop, they well the mugs there.

If you bring some sort of decanter or plastic jug from home, could you pour coffee into your mug, then pour a few "mugs worth" into the jug to bring back to your hotel room? I'm asking bc me and dh are big coffee drinkers in the morning and would think it was silly to have to spend10 minutes waking back and forth to get 3 cups while getting ready in the morning.

There is a 2-3 min wait between refills

Come on!!! Wow!!! Ok well hopefully I can take both of our mugs and fill them twice in under 10 mins. That should actually be all we will need! How interesting!! Does anyone know if coffee creamer is available for free ?
