Just off the phone with Disney Magical Express - we needed a couple of extra tags for an upcoming trip (but alas we have waiting too late to request them) and gotta say, it was a decidedly less than magical experience.
First off, apologies to my wife as she called a few weeks back to get tags for some other folks traveling with us and I was giving her heck for not wanting to call back to get extra tags for us. She said she wasn't going to call back after fighting with them to get the first set of extra tags sent out to the folks who were traveling with us.
I didn't believe her and took it upon myself to call them.
And yep - kinda rude. I asked what option were and the guy answering the phone told me I could either pick up my luggage myself or hand the magic express folks our claim tickets.
Told him I wasn't too keen on the claim ticket approach given that we were only going to be at Disney resort for a night before heading off to
Disney cruise the next day - if something happened we wouldn't have time to sort it out.
He was less than pleasant in quickly telling me that this is why I have the option to not use the service.
Politely asked him if there wasn't any way to get tags and he replied no. It couldn't be done because they use a 3rd party service. Told him that doesn't make sense. He said they need 3 days to print the tags. To which I said, "oh - ok, so the reason I can't get tags is it's just too late. I get that. But it's not because it's a 3rd party service, right"
He said - no, even with more time he wouldn't be able to send tags out because it is a 3rd party service.
So now I'm flummoxed at the concept that you cannot get extra baggage tags regardless of timing because they use a 3rd party service.
Sigh - told him thanks and moving on, but gotta say I'm disappointed in their customer service.
Oh - and we're just gonna collect the two d*mN bags we don't have tags for and take 'em on the bus ourselves....
Serenity now....
