We are going to V&A's at the end of July. I'd like to speak with them in advance about the menu, since I've read you can tell them things you don't wag and they will leave those things out. I have a serious aversion to fennel and would like to tell them to please not offer it to me as an ingredient. I tried to call the phone number several times, but they never answer, just a recording stating to leave your phone number and they will call you. I haven't left them a message since I'm not sure how long it takes for them to respond, and we're frequently not home. So they tend to call back the same day, and within a short time, or is it days later? Is there something I can do online to inform them instead?

We've eaten there several times with my mom, who is a serious picky eater. They have always accommodated her complicated requests and deletions. They will usually call a week in advance of your reservation to confirm allergies, etc. Though I have called in the afternoon hours and have spoken to someone.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time! Enjoy!

That's funny, because the day we go to V&A's is the day we check in!! We go there a week into our 10-night trip. I'm going to try and call again. We'll see what happens.

Has anyone noticed a lot of fennel in the menu items at V&A's? That is honestly my main concern because I truly can't stand it. The taste of it makes me feel sick.

I just called and someone answered!!! So they made a note on my ADR of my food aversions. Sooooo excited our trip is so close! :)

Thanks in advance for your help.:thumbsup2 I don't know why I can't figure this out......we have a reservation for our 25th anniversary dinner in November, and I am trying to determine the cost of our meal for the both of us. We will not do the wine pairings. We will, however, want champagne.

Thanks for your help in pointing me in the right direction.

Here is the website for V & A.
If you go to the menu section, you will be able to open the menu for whichever dining room you will be eating in. The main dining rm price is listed at $135/pp. This does not include tax or tip.
If you look at the wine section, you will be able to open the wine menu with prices.

DH and I are going for the first time this October. Of course I have a couple of silly questions-
-Do they serve beer?
-while I'm not a vegetarian, I don't eat pork or red meat. Is this something I should note, or is there typically an array of options per course?

So excited!
Thank you!!

V&A does not serve beer, per se; however, quality beers (like Chimay) are sometimes served within a wine pairing.

Just inform V&A in advance of your dietary requests and the staff will accommodate.

All the best. :thumbsup2

You will be asked about your preferences, and your meal will be tailored to your likes…. just be sure to let them know what you would prefer NOT to have.

Thank you all for the quick replies! That's great to hear they would get a beer from Citricos. DH doesn't do wine.
Thanks again!!

Somehow, imagining having a Coke at V&A's is more amusing to me than imagining having a beer there. I don't think too many of the patrons there are asking for cokes LOL.

And hey, I'm not putting down coke! I love sugary soda LOL and drink it all the time. But strangely enough, when I'm in Disney, I abstain from it. One reason is practical - because I'm doing so much walking and exercising in the heat, I always make sure I drink alot of water or water like beverages as much as I can, and the other is I like to partake in either fun cocktails or wine when I'm in the restaurants because that's not something I get to do that much normally at home. The soda will be waiting for me when I get back there.

lol I am actually the opposite! I drink a lot of water but when at Disney I binge on soft drinks. American coke tastes slightly nicer than UK Coke!

Also at "finer" restaurants I often find myself wanting a soft drink for some reason lol.

The sweetness in Coca Cola (and the artificial taste of Diet Coke) would distort some of the V&A menu offerings with an inappropriate taste that would not make the dining experience a memorable one. Any of the waters that V&A offer would be a much better complement to the menu choices

All the best. :thumbsup2
