Need Advice - When to book next cruise?

We are booked on the Disney Wonder this coming October 2014, and I'm already looking ahead. I want to book a 5-day cruise on the Magic next October (2015) but I am torn as to whether or not I go ahead and book it now, or wait until I am on the Wonder in 3 months to get the on-ship booking credits & discount. I feel like if I wait, and the price goes up, then the "discount" I get is basically wiped out.

Any advice?

Book now as prices do go up, then check on the cruise," if" it's cheaper then, then cancel are re book, ( re shopping) but odds on the 10% discount is wiped out by then! also good room locations and main dinner might go.

I was going to do that, but if the price is the same, will they let me "cancel" and re-book on the ship? Or might they apply the discount to an existing reservation?

(thanks for the speedy reply btw!)

You can always cancel, - deposit is refundable up to your PIF date they will not put on any on board benefits to an existing booking.

Btw suite bookings are different with non refundable deposit)

Onboard booking cannot be applied to a current reservation. If you have a specific stateroom selected that you want to keep, you should be able to get that transferred to the new reservation. But the OBB will be a new booking and require a new deposit at the time you are onboard.

Enjoy your cruises!
