Just started my online check in for my August trip, wondering how I disable my 11 year olds charging privileges?

Is it possible to just not give her a PIN code?

I gave my kids charging privileges, figuring it will make things easier for me. It's not like they're ever alone at WDW, so they're not going to sneak off and buy something without my knowledge. But this way, if we're at SAB and they want to get a pina colada shake or something (other than the sodas in the refillable cups)they can do so without me. I don't think it will be an issue.

I think that should be fairly easy to accomplish, although I don't know if there is an option when you are setting up the MDE accounts/Magic Bands or if that is done when you do online or actual checkin for the resort.

I would also imagine you could add a certain limited amount to your child's account. We did that in July, on our boys' key cards and I would think you could do something similar with the bands, too.

Anyone have experience with this?

:thumbsup2

That is a very good question....I need to think back to that day.....did we go back to the BC to hang out then take the bus? Nope! I had to ask my husband and now it's all coming back to me. We took the bus from MGM to MK. In the rain! The bus was waited for us. I think it was one of the only times when my daughter's broken foot helped us....he saw her trying to walk quickly with her monstrous boot on her foot (in the rain) and he held the bus for us. It took about 10 minutes to get to MK. Easy peasy.

Perfect! :) Thanks for answering my question. I always thought that the busses ran between hotels and parks only. Now I know better!

Glad that you enjoyed your trip and I really enjoyed it too! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I asked the lady at the spa if we were able to use the showers on check-out day if we had used the pool. She gave me a look of sheer horror (I swore I heard her gasp!) and said, "Oh NO. Those showers are only for people getting spa treatments!" So I pressed on.....what if we were using the exercise machines? Can't we use the showers then? She said that if we get sweaty from exercising for 30 minutes or more THEN we can use the showers. I'll bet you anything she is the broad who complained to management and had the shower policy changed!!

So glad you had a great trip and I think I heard your sobs from Ohio! I had to laugh at your comment about the spa lady... "working out for a half hour and sweating" doesn't seem to be a very official policy! lol

Look what I found!!!!!! It is delicious! It's only available during afternoon snacks. I wish it was available during evening appetizers and desserts too. I also took a pic of the new adult welcome beverage. Crazy as it sounds, I prefer SAB Breeze. Here are some more lounge photos

Sorry there aren't more. It was always pretty crowded in there.

Hello everyone, I know I have been largely quiet for awhile on this board. I have been really busy lately but just last night DH and I made some big decisions...

One of those decisions has to do with our vacation. We have switched our dates because of work issues with our September Labor Day weekend trip and drastically moved up the dates!

Dee can you remove us from the September list and add us to the July listpixiedust:
7/4-7/8 BC GV

We are actually then moving to the Swan for 2 nights, and the reason we are moving is because of the shower/locker room issue at BC. We always have the last flight out and I need a proper shower before getting on an 8:45 pm flight. No proper facilities is a deal breaker for me. So while I am so happy to be going back to BC and my beloved SAB, I am disappointed about having to switch resorts to get a shower:rolleyes2

I will end on a good note... in 19 days I will be sitting at SAB:cool1:

That's what I thought too! She begrudging admitted you can shower if you've been exercising but only if you're sweaty! I was tempted to say, "I guess we'll exercise after we swim so we can shower!" Can you imagine the look of horror that would have brought!

I am picturing her with a stopwatch and a little jar with markings so she can collect the sweat to make sure there is enough to earn a shower.

:sad2:

catho72 how did your family like going to see the ocean? We are on the fence about taking time to do this, vs using that day to stay at SAB

I'm curious how you liked it too. We did Cocoa Beach for a day on our last trip and liked it a lot....although we went in November and the water was a bit cool. We did a public beach right past the cruise lines port and they had a restaurant there, showers and a restroom. It was a faster drive than our GPS had it at too!

Double Digits!!!! In 99 days we will be strolling to Epcot, swimming in SAB, and sipping a drink at HH! So.....we are staying GV. I really want to be right around the main courtyard in the back and I would love to be on the 1st or 2nd floor. We like it closer to the ground level and they have the full balconies or patios. Last time we were as far from the lobby as you can get and we'd like to be closer this time. Is this too much for a request? I think I need to pare it down. Maybe just the first 2? 1. Lakeside Courtyard View 2. Close to the lobby 3. 1st or 2nd floor

Bumping this so it doesn't get buried! Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about booking 1 night in July after we do 2 nights (CSR Business class) and 3 at Vero Beach. My dad has some dietary restrictions and I didn't know if the lounge food offered some healthy options. For breakfast he will do cereal and berries (which I know CSR offers) but didn't know if YC CL offered that as well? Any help would be great! We are going to Epcot at night so I thought it would be nice to be close and walking distance. Thanks for any advice!

For breakfast YC usually offers cereals, fruit, Danish, bagels, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, muffins and some type of bread (like banana bread, etc. Hope that helps!

This is the third time my husband has driven to Cocoa Beach with the kids. I went with them once. They love it! I have them pack a lunch, either sandwiches from the Marketplace or bought at Subway. They always make a point to stop at Ron Jon's. Last year they slapped a Ron Jon sticker on my car as a surprise. I personally don't want to take any time away from my BC to go with so I usually stay back. But my husband loves the ocean and paddle boarding. In fact, they came back with a paddle board from Ron Jon's this year. They said it was cheaper to buy one than rent....oh ok. ;-)

I don't mind sending the family off while I stay back at BC with whomever doesn't want to go.

Usually they leave around 10am and get home around 6pm. It's about an hour each way.

Hope this helps!

Maybe the BC & YC should start tagging chairs as guests come in to the area, maybe you are assigned chairs based on MB. We need to scan our MBs when we enter, we should have to scan the on the way out. Then, every 30 mins or do, do a check. If chairs are not being used or guests have left the area, take the chair for another guest. It's too bad we can't just all play nice.

We stayed at Aluani in February what they did there was have cast members go around they took the towels folded them and put on the back of a chair, when they made rounds (about 1 hour) if towel was still roll on the back of the chair they removed them, making the chair available for another guest, and if they had personal items they bagged them and put them in a guest relations booth. This could be one suggestion to stop chair hogs, especially if they were leaving the pool area.

Thank you for the info on the beach, I am on the fence if we should take a day away from BC to do the beach. How old are your kids? Mine will be 9
& 7

BC is one of my favorite resorts! We have been lucky enough to have stayed at both BC & BCV. We love the easy walk to Epcot & boat to the Studios. We also enjoy walking around the boardwalk in the early morning & later in the evening.
Having said that, I too am interested in possibly going to the beach. I just never seem to want to leave "the world" for an entire day while there though.

Oooh, I just looked at the calendar and realized in only 3 days I get to make my FastPass choices! Yay!!!

That would work.
