We arent staying at POFQ or POR but I have heard many things about the gluten free beignets and are wondering if they are worth the trip over that way? We'll be doing a split stay between BC and WL!
Thanks!

You could always go to Downtown Disney and take a boat over to POFQ to get them. It's a nice little trip.

Sara at Gluten free and Dairy Free at WDW says they are worth it! I love reading her reviews and seeing pics of all the food. I plan on making a trip for my son with over 20 allergies next time we are there.

You may want to call ahead though. And be prepared to wait several minutes for them. I don't think they are a regular item. When we were there they were just dropping everything into one vat and just churning out regular ones and it was taking about 10 minutes just to get a regular order.

I think they did have a separate vat, but it wasn't on. We didn't see anyone order gluten free ones during our stay. Definitely call, just so they are ready.

That said, if they are even remotely as good as the regular ones, they are probably worth the trip!!

We got them in april. We didn't call ahead but it took maybe 5 minutes for them to make. we also went on an off time at 3pm so they weren't too busy.

I thought they were ok but nothing too special. We have a wonderful gf bakery about an hour from where we live though. But I thought they were descent and would eat them again but wouldn't make a special trip to pofq to get them unless I had a car. But again I might be biased because of the bakery where I live had such delicious goodies.

I thought 5 min was pretty fast for what I expected, but I'm just not sure if you went during a busy time how long it might take.

Yes, worth the trip. We used to make the trip from BWI to Babycakes at DTD to get GF goodies, but since they are now closed, we made the trip last month from BWI to POFQ for the beignets. We walked to Hollywood Studios and caught a resort bus to POFQ at breakfast time. The nicest chef said he could also make a GF breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, GF mickey waffles, and strawberries. We opted for this great breakfast, then walked around the resorts for a while and came back for beignets and coffee. They only took about 5 minutes even at busy breakfast time. We split a small order of 3, and they are best eaten hot. It was a treat, but next time we will have either breakfast or beignets!

BC Marketplace has prepackaged Babycakes donuts, cupcakes, and choclate chip cookies, and will make you a sandwich on GF bread. We also had a GF pizza at the Boardwalk pizza window. Good area for GF options.
