We just put in an offer on BWV for 215 points with a Dec UY. Disney was sent the offer today. The contract is $83/point and has 165 banked points available on 12/1/14 for a total of 380 available next year.

As this is our first attempt I am worried about the ROFR gremlin. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to if it will be accepted?

We plan on last week of Sept/first week of Oct in a 2 BDR. What is availablity like that time of year? Anything I should know about BWV?

Thanks for the help!

If you're talking last week of sept- first week oct for 2014, the rooms are already gone. That's food and wine festival time. If you're referring to future year bookings, you will want to use your eleven month booking advantage for those travel dates.

As to passing ROFR, just check that thread and compare. No way to tell for sure, DVC sometimes lets things pass low, and takes things high. Your offer sounds reasonable. Only time will tell. Good luck!

Thanks. We're talking next year for Sept/Oct time frame. We just got back from VWL and it was too hot for my wife who has MS. She was able to cope except for the last day. So we're looking for a time that isn't too hot for her but will still allow my 5 year old to swim.

Have you stayed at BWV before, how did you like VWL?

:earsboy: Bill

No but I've read up on it and am going in with the idea that we can try different resorts. I liked the VWL but it was a little too quiet and out of the way for my tastes. The BWV looks like it will be a fun place to stay even without going to the parks. I also like the variety of restaurants within walking distance. At VWL you either ate there or got on a boat or a bus.

Good luck with ROFR! It looks like BWV in that price range has been passing. Hopefully the banked points won't tempt the gremlin. BWV is our second favorite resort, after our AKV home.

Late Sept/Early Oct are about as hot as early June. If you want cooler weather, you may want to think about waiting until late Oct or even early Nov. It generally is still warm enough for swimming, but not as hot and sticky, with cooler mornings. Of course, with that said, we have had a couple of late October visits that were incredibly hot. Mid to late April is not too bad.

Here is some pixie dust hoping that you will pass ROFR!!pixiedust:

The BWV contract I just sold (150 points with 146 points banked) passed ROFR and is now in closing. It sold for $84 a point. I can't predict what Disney might do but your contract sounds similar. Good luck.

I have to echo this. We were there during that timeframe last year and it was incredibly hot and rainy which made for some pretty awful humidity.

We were just there last week and I was really worried about the heat in June. Was pleasantly surprised at how manageable it was. It was hot some days but the humidity was low. FL weather can be hit or miss. :confused3

You should make it in time to book right at 11 months, which is what I recommend. I'd go for the Standard view rooms, which are the lowest costs rooms. And if you're not 100% sure on the dates you want, I'd book extra days, then cancel a few nights at the beginning/end of the stay when you're sure. Standard view and Boardwalk view will go fast. I try to save Boardwalk views for when we go Studio or 1bed, or when standard view is gone.

Thanks for all the replies and pixie dust! We have decided to try the 2nd or 3rd week of October.

I already have the financing through Lightstream so we will get a contract I just want this particular one!

Also spoke with a DVC Guide today and he said that Disney might buy back this contract because of the banked points. He said it all depends on the waitlist. He also told me that BWV is selling at $125 per point right now direct from Disney.

I just hope and pray that my offer sneaks through!
