Sending prayers and good thoughts for a speedy recovery for Tina.

Getting excited for our YC stay. We are going to catch the MK bus in the afternoon. I guess I should budget almost an hour, since I thought I heard that "off" hours, the bus will go to more than the BC before going to MK.

Please keep the positive thoughts and prayers for Teena coming! She is going to have surgery tomorrow and if all is well, she will be home on Tuesday. I am really sad to hear what she is going through. :sad1:

I have been letting her know that everyone is thinking of her and has been passing along support.

Please let us know if you hear anything and send our healing wishes.

Yesterday I was marking the 1-month till vacation marker! :cool1:

We are doing a split stay, first at Art of Animation family suites for 3 nights, then over to the Beach Club for 4 nights.

Dee ~ we will be driving and transporting our own luggage, but I can certainly either ask about luggage transport for split stays or do a test transport.

Thanks for the offer, but no need to do anything out of the ordinary. Plenty of people have experience with transferring luggage, and some have even written about it. I just need to collect the info that is out there.

:)

Nothing like skimming the Beach Club thread when contemplating a trip (even if it is next year). Glad to see familiar names still posting, especially Teena. Someone brought a Tastykake box into the pharmacy not too long ago and I popped my head up and said, "Teena?" My staff was like, "who???"

Good to see you posting here again! :welcome: back!

Please let us know as your plans as they solidify.

:woohoo:

We're moving over to the Poly for the last night of our trip so we can enjoy a late night at MK and lunch at Kona the next day before catching the ME.

Would the YC CL be able to check us in to Poly? Or if we do online check in, will I have to wait in line at the Poly? It's RO so I've already paid in full and don't need anything except the room.

Planning on hitting DHS in the morning, then heading to MK. Would prefer not to make a Poly pit stop.

You will have to wait on line to check in, but if you do online check-in, the process should go quickly. Are you having your luggage sent over? If so, they won't deliver it to your room without you being there - you will need to call bell services. If it's going to be a late night at MK, it will make more sense to have that all taken care of first. Just take the bus from DHS to poly, check in, get your luggage, and hop on the monorail.

That is an interesting question. Yes, you will have to physically check in at the Poly, but it is unclear to me when you need to do that.

What do you have for tickets? Does anyone know if they are "deactivated" after checking out of the YC? I wouldn't think so. You could be moving to an offsite resort, so it shouldn't matter if you have checked in at your new resort.

I imagine you can send the luggage over, and then when you eventually check into the Poly, either in-between HS and MK or even if it is later that night after your visit to MK, you should be able to request it.

FYI- there are some very LARGE luggage lockers at HS, outside of a building in between the bus stops and the entry gate. The lockers are just $1 (only one entry) but if you are carrying along stuff for the day that you don't need to take into the park, then this would be a nice solution.

I think in your situation, I would check out of YC, go to HS, check in at Poly then head off for your late night at MK. Hopefully your luggage will be there, your room would be ready, you could change into a new set of clothes and off you go.

:)

Hello All!

I found the new thread!

I just upgraded to YC CL for our July trip. I had the AP package with dining, but cancelled that and moved to CL just because it is cheaper and I always end up with unused credits!!

56 days!

I'll make the revision to your listing.

:thumbsup2

We just moved from GV CL to a regular GV room but picked up free dining. I'm trying to decide on a room request. I'd love a room in the back of the resort that overlooks either the main courtyard or the next section over (volleyball court). I would rather not be any further away from the lobby than that. Not sure how to word that. Definitely want the back of the resort if possible. Suggestions? Hope that made sense. We overlooked the quiet pool last time and it was gorgeous but a long trek to the lobby. Thanks!

I'll revise the info in your listing.

I'm not sure how limited a request must be. "Back side of resort (lakeside) overlooking back entrance or volleyball court, close to lobby if possible."

:)

I think we are finalized at last! Moving to BC GV CL after dance competition at Coronado. Staying 7/6-7/9

I would like to officially :welcome: you here!!!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

I just LOVE when a trip takes real form!! I have been working on this retirement trip as if it were my full time job!! I have finally booked everything that will be happening on this trip with the exception of the Carriage Tour at the campgrounds and Cirque. I have called every other day re Carriage Tour and it isn't in the books yet... Will it be haunted or not... I want to book it either way so hopefully that will happen soon! I need to wait for DVC to release the special for Cirque (they still have summer offers up) so I can book that. I did book a Members Night at Splittsville so that should be interesting and fun! DH may want to drive a car at the speedway again... so I have to look into that. I bought the Christmas Party Tickets so we are set for that on November 10 (Marine Corps Birthday) OoohhhRahhh and Semper Fi to all the Marines out there!

Food and Wine is another thing that still has to be arranged once they begin releasing more info on that... a few things have come out, but as always it's usually August before booking events can begin. I did see that Boyz to Men, David Cook, someone from Styx and Big Voodoo Daddy will be there for the Eat To The Beat Concerts. A few of the events I wanted are coming back... so far the Parisian Breakfast and Sweet Sunday's (renamed "Sunday Morning's With...) will be returning.

Today we are under 100 days until our move to Dallas Texas! Excited YES I am!! I cannot wait to be closer to my daughter and son in law!!!

Happy Holiday Weekend to All!!

~N

You have a couple of exciting things to plan for and look forward to!

:banana::banana::banana:

Get well soon Teena! Hoping someone could answer this... My DH is running the WDW marathon which is the same day we check into BCV. Would anyone be able to tell me if we'd be allowed to park the car at BC and use the extremely early morning bus to get to Epcot for the start of the race? Any help would be great :)

If you have your car, you could just go straight to Epcot and park. It will give you a little more time to sleep. What are you planning to do between the end of the race and your room being ready?

Hi All

We are thinking of adding dining plan to our trip. I was wondering if anyone who is familiar with the Market Place can tell me what we can use our refillable mugs for? Other than fountain soda (that I think we would get)....can we get coffee? tea? apple juice or milk? Also is the market place the only area at BC/YC to refill or can we get anything out by pool?

Appreciate the info :thumbsup2

 first of all, get well Teena.....and darn it you won't be there when we arrive in less than 24 hours.....

My mind is just racing right now....and I'm singing in my head....it's peanut butter jelly time:cool1:

Teena, that just stinks! I've been there.....feel better!!

I have a question about BC CL Garden view rooms. I know there aren't many, but does anyone know if any of them have day beds? Traveling with 2 adult children, would love the extra room. I have only stayed in one GV CL room, #5627, it was right off the elevator to the right, it was a small dormer room, no daybed.

I just received my email from IPO asking about my "requests" and thought I might put it out there if any exist.

Thanks for the suggestion :)

We were hoping to drop the car off first so we could walk back to BC through the international gateway. Although, driving straight there wouldn't be the worst thing in the world :)

We were going to go to SAB if we're allowed to before check in? Or go to Typhoon Lagoon. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough. We were also going to request a late check out at AKV just in case. Does this sound reasonable?

I think there is just one BC CL GV room with a daybed. They won't even book that category for a family of 5 because most of the rooms won't sleep that many.

You can put it on, and if you don't get that room, ask for a rollaway cot.

Just heard from Teena, surgery scheduled for noon. Will keep you all posted. Thanks again for all your concern!

Thank you both. I hope I'm not forking up the quote and getting the quote in the quotes.

We have NE tickets so I'm assuming they will be good to go on our bands already. I'm thinking we'll just pit stop at Poly on the way to MK. Much of this will depend on what time we get to sign up for to do the Jedi Academy at DHS. We're not early risers though so I imagine times will be late or gone.

Hope you feel better Teena.
