Darn, that would have been really fun to meet up! I think all 3 five nighters are going to sell out. Even with some rooms potentially on hold, things are moving quickly. [/QUOTE ]

They are booking up quickly.

Tell me about it! I'm starting to panic as I haven't heard back from my TA about upgrading our 10/18 to a Cat 5. Verandas are already gone for the 10/4, I hear!

Loving your trip report!

.

Looks like you'll have a fun group on the 18th.

Thank you! :goodvibes another fabulous trip on the books :)

Jump on over to the 18th :rolleyes1 :)

I would if I didn't have to give up our secret verandah cabins.

Well, we did it. Booked for October 18 at this point. My sister thinks her family will come along, too, which would be so great! If that week doesn't work for them we may switch, but for now that is the one we did.

Erin, we picked the October 4th sailing since our 2012 MR cruise also set sail on the 4th (of March)!

Thank you! :goodvibes another fabulous trip on the books :)

I love having trips in the works. :cool1: It's going to be a fun one thats for sure. Some Disneyland, a little San Diego, Disney cruise, Mexico......fabulous!

I don't blame you. Those secret verandah cabins are awesome! We should stop talking about them though. ;)

I think we will. A meet thread has been started as we'll as an FB group. I met so many cool ladies on the FB before our cruise; it was a blast. Yours has a meet thread too I think. :thumbsup2

Sorry for the delay, back to pirate: night.

Before I get back to it I forgot to tell you all about an issue we had with Joshua’s soccer ball. Before we headed out for pirate night, I decided to pack a bag for the next day in Cozumel. I knew we’d be out late and I wouldn’t want to to do it in the morning. While I was packing the bag, I noticed that Joshua’s soccer ball was missing. We for sure had packed it for this trip! I called down to guest services to see if they had possibly confiscated it at the port. I called down and got a somewhat rude CM. She said if it had been confiscated there would be a paper from the Port of Miami informing us of that and where we could pick it up upon our return to Miami. There was no paper. I had completely unpacked out bags and stored our luggage. I took out the suitcases and reopened them. They were totally empty. I called down to guest services and got another CM on the phone who was very understanding. He said he’d call the port and get back with me……

After dinner and some fun pirate conga, it was time for the party portion of the evening. We decided to skip going down to Deck 9 and participate from Deck 10. Our tween tablemates joined us too.

Right before the party stared, Pam also joined us. Pam, where did you go after dinner?

The party consisted of some dance music, a pirate fight, and Mickey coming to save the day. To be honest, I don’t remember it all that well. I think had we gone down and danced it would have been more fun, more lively. We did dance some from where we were.

Some pics. That’s Joshua’s head.

Now I could see fine until the guy next to me decided to put his child on his already ginormous frame while laying his arm almost on top of me and totally across me. I mean, c’mon dud, put your kid in front of you. He literally pushed his arm into mine. Big jerk. Hope he’s not reading. Or do I? Notice my earring. Selfie of me with him. LOL!

See Mickey? squint and look closer, :lmao:

Finally it was time for fireworks. All we had to do was turn around and we had a totally great view!

Joshua said that he notched a Carnival Cruise in the water around sunset. I bet they were trying to get a view of our fireworks. I don’t blame them as the fireworks were amazing!

After the fireworks it was time for the buffet. I was really looking forward to some fresh crepes. :cloud9:

The buffet was in Beach Blanket Buffet:

Turkey legs anyone?

More offerings:

And finally my delicious crepe with vanilla ice cream and fresh coconut. OMG to die for! And more pineapple. I can’t tell you how fabulous the pineapple was all week.

We chatted outside in the warm night air with Pam and enjoyed our dessert. We said our goodbyes as we had an early day planned in Mexico the next day.

We got a towel monkey. I think it looks like a turkey. ;) We also arrived to a message from guest services regarding the soccer ball. This was his new soccer ball he received for his bar mitzvah. It was the newest Nike premiere league ball......

Up next, Pam’s version. :teeth: I am sure I left a ton out.

To be continued…..

Really, what's with people that don't understand personal space?:confused3 I'm so short and it never fails that someone crowds in and blocks my view. Enjoyed your Pirate night pics.

What, you left us hanging with the soccer ball? :hyper::rotfl2: Nice way to keep us coming back for more.:thumbsup2

We have never had good luck with pirate night. We get there early, get a decent spot and at the last minute big huge adults will come and stand right in front of the kids. One actually leaned against my Allison....she had found a tiny spot to sit and some huge guy came and leaned half his body on her tiny created seat so that not only was she blocked, she was totally squished. Who does that to a (then) 9 year old, who actually looked like a six year old because she was, and still is, a tiny little thing? I don't get some people.

I NEED my personal space. All you people on the ethernet.....move....now. I NEED my personal space. :rolleyes1

I hate people that encroach in my space. So sorry that you had a big jerk next to you.

Great pictures and the fireworks look fantastic.

Hope Joshua got that soccer ball back. Is he looking foward to the Soccer-Rio carnival coming up?

And he was such a jerk about it. Once he draped his arm across me, I asked him to please move. He replied that he needed to hold on to the bar as he was trying to hold up a child. Um, hello dude, no one else was holding up kids. He literally could have set the child in front of him and they could have seen perfectly. And this wasn't a toddler, it was like an 8 y/o. :crazy2:

I don't either. :confused3 My concern is that all of the kids can see. I can totally step back and have to allow that to happen. It was an odd bunch by us and I wish we would have gone down to the floor. Next time. :thumbsup2

I don't know what the Soccer-Rio carnival is? Is that World Cup? He's asleep so I'll ask him but I am sure he is. He's a huge soccer fan. His favorite team is Everton. He tapes every game he can find. I am so glad he and Michael are somewhat over the American football phase. :cheer2:

The fireworks were so cool! I took over 50 pics but didn't want to post them all. I missed my picture taking Chloe for sure.

It was a fun night and the dude in my way didn't ruin it but when I saw his photo I got all mad again. :rotfl:

Ugh, I hate jerks. Hope you find Joshua's soccer ball!

Jill in CO

Ugh about that guy! :headache::mad:

Why didn't we go down? I know we talked about it but never did.

I have some puctures to share, will do that when I get home. :)

(I had to stop in the BR before coming up to the party) and then I saw Beth and Chase on my way around to find you guys.

Ahhhh, that's right. :thumbsup2

Joshua didn't want to go down. Next time, WE will go down. Chip and Dale dancing looked like fun! Joshua isn't a huge toddler person. ;)

NEXT CRUISE I am hitting the Pirate night buffet. In 15 cruises I've never gotten anything there and I think I've only laid eyes on the buffet about three times. It was a bit of a problem when they had it on deck. I'm betting it is a little bit less of a madhouse in BBB? :confused3 Also, having late dining I was never hungry enough to actively seek out more food.

Can't wait for the next installment!

I am so glad Pam told me how wonderful the fresh crepes were otherwise I may have been tempted by dessert at the table. Seriously, you have to try them. I wasn't tempted by anything else but those. :lovestruc Love crepes and vanilla ice cream and coconut. It was the perfect combo of indulgence. And the fresh pineapple. Disney must spray their pineapple with crack.

I wasn't hungry either. :rotfl2: I don't think I actually felt hunger after day one.

15 cruises? Bravo! :worship:

I hear you on this! The pineapple is why I have 15 cruises! :lmao:
Well, that and the room service wings and the Palo anything, and the chicken strips made with crack, but mostly the CREW and service.

I might not be good but I LOVE dancing!!!! :rotfl:

I thought you were great and having a total blast. :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh yes, the chicken strips! Have to tried the room service steak sandwich? My go to buzzed food. ;) No Palo this first cruise but maybe during Mexico.
