GKTW Meet - Hershey, PA **GRAND TOTAL IS IN**

That would be great, we can then get a rough estimate for food.

Done! FYI, on the receipt/ticket that was emailed to me for Friday night, it lists Chambers Hill UMC as the location. I know it's at the Hershey Lodge Friday night, but just figured I'd let you know to possibly avoid confusion for anyone else :)

I honestly had no idea there were so many nice restaurants in both the Hershey Lodge and Hotel Hershey. I can't decide where to go for dinner Saturday night!

I can say the Bear's Den is more of a sports bar atmosphere, but it has good food. If you have a car, there are so many other local restaurants that are great!!

Houlihan's
Devon
Finicci's
The Warwick Hotel
Fire Alley
Smoked
Dafnos
Arooga's
Duke's Bar and Grill
The Chocolate Ave Grill
What If Grill

as another option - the cafe at Troegg Brewery is really nice with lots of organic / local food

Reminder that tomorrow is the last day to reserve your room at the Hershey Lodge at our great rate!!! Please see the first post for the number to call and reserve your room.

Do you know anything about The Hershey Grill? We are thinking about eating there Saturday night - menu looks good!

I have not eaten there personally, but I have friends that have and it is hit or miss. I had one set of friends go and they said the service was very slow and for what you get, you could go to any other restaurant. I have had another one that said it was fantastic.

I have had slow service also at the Bear's Den...It all depends when you go there...

I don't necessarily mind slow service, if the food is good :thumbsup2 We will be discussing our options. Thanks for the info!

I know I will be headed to The Warwick Hotel Saturday night for dinner. I love going there. It is a quaint little place in Hummelstown that has really good food, drinks and desserts. That is usually where I go after the hockey games during the season on Saturday nights.

Just to give everyone a heads up who are trying to make reservations like me. I called them around 4:00 pm today to make reservations and they told me their computer system was down. They took my telephone number and said they would call me back when fixed but they haven't so far.

What are some of the less expensive options for accommodations, 149.00 is a little pricey for DH and I? Also, I requested two tickets at the group rate, do I pick up those tickets in hershey, or how?

The area has a lot of hotels. I know there is a super 8 not too far from the event location. The problem is that there are some other events in town that weekend, so I am not sure the prices of the other hotels. I would suggest just going to a few hotel websites (or kyake/Travelocity/or one of those type of sites) and see what you can find. Most of the hotels would be working 30 min driving distance of the park and the event hall.

As far as the tickets go, you can pick them up and pay for them at the event, or if you need them sooner, please PM me and we can work something out.

I actually looked for a less expensive hotel for Friday night, because I thought we'd be getting in very very late (thank goodness, that changed), but I didn't see anything in the area that was cheaper than the group rate you guys got. Thank you so much for negotiating it! :thumbsup2

I live in Hershey, so if anyone wants to ask me about hotel locations (or B&B)or details, just reply here or PM me.
