We just sold two small BLT contracts and are replacing them with another BWV contract. One seems to be moving faster than the other. Here's our timelines:

35 points BLT. Offer accepted 3/10 and contracts signed.
ROFR 4/9
Closing docs received and returned 4/25
Recorded Orange County 5/8

Just over 8 weeks

65 points BLT: Offer accepted 3/16 and contracts signed
ROFR 4/21

Still waiting for Disney to provide estoppel information according to Jason at the Timeshare Store. This contract was signed just one week after the first, but ROFR took 5 days longer and we're now 2 weeks past the date we received the closing docs on the first contract, so it's taken an extra week -- and we haven't got them yet.

We were scheduled to close on 5/2, but apparently there was a problem with the seller's docs. They were late sending the docs in and don't seem to be in any hurry to get their $. This is the most frustrating part of the process, especially since we are hoping to use some points for our Nov. trip.

I'm feel for you. Our contract has 127 "Freebie" points (don't pay maintenance fees on) that expire in November. We're hoping for a long-weekend in October such that we already bought the airfare.

We were also scheduled to close on 5/2, but didn't close until 5/6. I think it was also the seller's that caused the delay. Seller's remorse?

Anyways, we are now just waiting the 2+ weeks to get into the Disney system, and it's killing me. You think the wait for closing is bad.

We're still waiting and getting very nervous that there's something wrong. Keep telling ourselves it's just a slow process but if Disney only sends out estoppel papers(whatever those actually are lol) we've got another week to wait. We need the proceeds from this sale to pay for the contract we just bought, hopefully that one doesn't go lightening fast or we'll be in a bind.

(not thru TSS (although I used them last resale purchase) not sure if it's permissible to list another broker's info or not, but closing company that is handling transaction is Timeshare Title & More)

Sent to ROFR April 11 (+1)
Passed ROFR May 7 (+26 days = 27 days)
Received closing docs May 12 (+5 days = 32 days)
Closing docs and check at title company May 13 (+1 day = 33 days)
Registered OCC May 19 (+6 days = 39 days)

we were advised that sellers were going out the country this weekend, combined with us also traveling in the following weeks, we were cutting it close. Yet, it produced a seller highly motivated to get their docs back to title company.

This contract has a different UY from our current one, but it will be titled the same with DH & me as owners. I've asked everybody involved (agent, closing co. & DVC MS) as to whether we'll have the same member # or not, but told it varies. Would be nice to have them tied into same number, not a deal breaker.

Out deed is finally on the Orange County site (as of 5/12)! Now we just have to wait for our points to be available in our DVC account.

We passed 4/30 and the title company still says nothing from disney on the estopple. We are supposed to close on 5/19 so it doesn't look like that will happen. Anyone pass around the end of last month get the closing docs yet?

We passed 4/25 and received our closing docs on 5/13. I would call them. One of the documents had a print date of 5/9 at the top of it....makes me wonder if we could have received sooner.

I was looking over posted timelines of the deed recording date and the date of receiving a member number. What confuses me is that some folks are calling DVC member services to obtain the number, on other posts I've read of people calling DVC Accounting to obtain it. My question is, if you have posted a date for receiving your DVC member numer does that mean you received it in the mail? Had to call?

Our deed was recorded today and I am anxious to make a reservation!

That's good to know. I still haven't heard anything. Are you using magic vacation title? I emailed them today but haven't heard back. This wait is driving me crazy. I want to use my points for a trip this November the week before thanksgiving.

Received closing docs today. So 20 days from passing ROFR. Onto the last stage of the waiting.

Sent to Disney on 4/1, on 4/30 passed ROFR, received closing documents today. This seems to be taking forever but things are coming along just like they said they would. I guess just like everyone you hope it will be faster.
