Fantasy Eastern Feb 8-15 2014-Cupids in the Caribbean-TRIP REPORT COMPLETED 7/17!

Not to answer for Tink&Belle's Mom but there is an Itinerary C, stopping off in St. Maarten and San Juan instead. This is the route we are taking for our Christmas cruise.

I had to check the itinerary out after you mentioned it. Looks like it should be an interesting stop. Any plans for excursions?

What a fun snorkeling adventure -- and seeing a turtle is so cool!!

I always admire people, like your guide, who can ditch life in colder climate and make the move to the Caribbean - I can see how that is appealing!! :goodvibes

The snorkeling was so wonderful. The clarity of the water is just so amazing to me and to see the turtles up close and personal like that was very cool.

I really think our guide was living the best of both worlds-warmth during the winter and spending time back home during the summer. I really don't think I would need to do too much convincing with my DH once we hit retirement!

After returning from the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel we decided to get back on the ship for a bite to eat and to freshen up. We went directly to Deck 11 where we indulged in wraps, hot dogs, hamburgers, a chicken sandwich, and some french fries. I have to say that we all really enjoyed the fries on Deck 11 during the cruise. Even now when we have french fries back home we end up talking about how great the fries were on board!

We headed back to our cabin to shower up before heading back to shore to do a little bit of shopping. The Havensight Mall was located right where we were docked, so it was easy to walk over and wander around for about an hour. The girls picked up a couple of bracelets for their friends back home and I grabbed a couple of t-shirts before we decided we just wanted to head back and relax.

Back on board the girls decided that they wanted to go to the Lab. While we were docked the Lab actually had open house, so they had to spend their time in the club since that was the secured area. Be sure to pay attention to the open houses if it will be a problem for your kids. They were fine, but DD10 mentioned it afterwards that she wasn't able to do what she wanted in the Lab.

While the girls were playing DH and I headed up to Deck 12 for a drink and relaxation time. We sat up there for a while, but there weren't any loungers available. Once we finished our first drink we grabbed another one and made our way to Deck 4, where we knew that there would be loungers available. Deck 4 ended up being one of my favorite spots on the ship. We sat back and relaxed with a view of the sailboats and yachts in the harbor. It was a fun stolen moment.

For dinner tonight we were back at Royal Court for the Prince and Princess dinner. This ended up being my favorite meal of the week. I had the veggie lasagna and the flavor was just perfect. I would never guess that I would come home and say my favorite meal would be a veggie lasagna, but it was! I know that this will be shocking, but DD10 had the sirloin steak from the adult menu and DD7 had mac and cheese. For dessert they had fun with the create your own kabobs. It came with brownies, rice krispie treats, strawberries, and pineapple with a chocolate dipping sauce. They thought it was the best.

After dinner we went to the So You Think You Know Your Family game show. It was a fun little show and it was quite entertaining. Following the show the girls wanted to get their jammies on and head to the Plutos Pajama Party in the Oceaneer Club. They said it was fun because Pluto came to visit and they also got a pillowcase to decorate and keep.

Tonight there was a meet and greet on the schedule that I really wanted to go to. Snow White has always been my favorite princess and she was going to be out doing greetings with Dopey! We picked up the girls at the Club just before the meet, so they got to see her in their jammies and they thought that was pretty funny. Unfortunately we didn't realize that we had sunscreen smudged on the lens of our camera until we got back home, but you get the idea!

DD7 noticed that her favorite also happened to be out in her blue dress, so she couldn't resist seeing Belle again.

DD10 decided that she better get in on the action as well.

We headed back to the room where the girls decided that they wanted to blow up some of the balloons they received in the FE. They were just so pleased with the fun gifts that they got!

Before bed I decided to get in a little run in on deck 4 since I was going be doing the 5K on Castaway Cay. I was starting to feel a little sluggish with all the food we had been eating so far!

Up Next: Can you believe it is already Thursday?

On Thursday morning we were up bright and early again. After getting another run in on Deck 4 a coffee was in order from the Cove Cafe on Deck 11. They had a few small baked goods also there for the taking so I took a couple of those with my coffee out to the Quiet Cove Pool to dip my toes. Yet another fun stolen moment! When I got back to the room we all tossed on some clothes to head to breakfast. We all had a moment were we couldn't believe that it was already Thursday-our last sea day!

Today DH and I had plans to indulge in brunch at Palo. Our reservation wasn't until 10, so we decided that we would go to Royal Court today for breakfast. I tried to convince DH that he shouldn't eat much, but he insisted on trying the buckwheat crepe. It was a crepe filled with egg whites, spinach, and tofu with a tomato relish on top. I ended up trying a bite and while I didn't think I would like it, I actually did.

DD10 was in heaven when they came around with a platter of baked goods that contained both a croissant and a donut. She chose both along with a bowl of cereal. DD7 took a step on the wild side and chose the peanut butter and jelly typhoon-a large pancake with peanut butter and jelly swirled on it. She loved it!

Royal Court was pretty quiet this morning, so I decided to take the opportunity to take photos in the restaurant while not disturbing anyone. The details are just amazing. I was so happy to get a chance to really take my time and enjoy the surroundings!

First there was the section dedicated to Ariel.

Next up was DD7's favorite-Belle!

It was pretty quiet in here this morning. I don't know if it was like this every morning, but it sure made for a relaxing meal.

Next I ventured over to see Aurora.

Cinderella dashing away from the ball.

My favorite-Snow White!

My youngest might not be doing the pyjama party! He has the PJ Days at school and has vowed never to go out in public in his pyjamas. We might be able to get him to try it though. :) Glad your girls had a great time. Thanks for sharing your pictures of the Royal Court. :thumbsup2

Nothing concrete yet, we are only just starting to research some of the options we have in San Juan. We are pretty excited to be visiting Puerto Rico.

Hopefully you can convince him to break his vow just this one time! :)

I suppose you have a little while to decide what you want to do in San Juan. The planning and anticipation is fun though, isn't it?

After our breakfast at Royal Court we still had some time until our reservation at Palo. The girls decided that we should take the time do some more Midship Detective Agency. All of us really enjoyed this activity and it sure did help you get in some exercise by forcing you to traverse the whole ship!

While we were on the mission we came across DH's favorite art work on board. The beauty doesn't really come through in the picture, but all of the art work on the ship was amazing.

Before we made our way to Palo the girls decided that we needed to have a photo shoot by my favorite mural. It is so rare to have a picture of just the two of us, let alone one of ourselves! They had so much fun putting us into different poses and having us be on the other side of the camera. Unfortunately the sunscreen smudge reeked havoc on the pictures, but the girls did a great job!

After we finished our photo shoot we dropped the girls off and headed to our highly anticipated brunch at Palo! Our reservation was at 10 and when we arrived we were told to have a seat in Meridian. Within minutes we were called to be seated at a window seat. Our server Kristian offered us a glass of champagne or a mimosa and we both decided on the mimosa. After a bit Kristian gave us a tour of the buffet items that included seafood, cheeses, breads and pastries, salads, desserts, and more. We were also shown the options we could order such as pizzas and entrees. For our entrees we ordered the chicken parmesan, the lasagne, and a pizza that was half spicy sausage and half grape and gorgonzola. Everything was fabulous, but we both especially enjoyed the pizza. After a lovely time together we rolled out of Palo to move on to the next adventure.

I am all caught up again! What a wonderful vacation. I am thinking Midship Detective Agency will be on the list of things to do.

Thank you, it is a good opportunity to put on your walking shoes and walk off some of the fine table fare.

Lovely updates
I think your girls did a fine job of your little photo shoot :goodvibes

Thanks. DD10 fancies herself as a photographer.

Loving your TR. You're girls are just adorable! We are on the Fantasy in 8 months...can't wait!

I got a bit behind-- but I'm all caught up! Great updates!

The PJ meet n' greet pictures are so cute!!

Breakfast looks so quiet -- but nice to be able to eat a leisurely meal and enjoy the details!

Glad you enjoyed Palo brunch - sounds delish!! :goodvibes

Glad you got caught back up. I was on a roll with updates for a little while!

I thought the girls were so cute in their matching jammies. I don't know how much longer DD10 will allow me to match her up with DD7, so I felt like I needed to take advantage while I still have a chance.

Palo was definitely a highlight for us. I would go again in a heartbeat!

After we finished our brunch it was time to pick DD7 up at the Lab for a very important appointment. I mentioned earlier in the report that each a the girls were able to pick a special activity and without hesitation DD7 decided she wanted to go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

We arrived at the Boutique where DD7 was escorted to her throne by Bonita.

Here Bonita is explaining the different options that she could choose from. We went with the Crown Package for $59.95. With this option she received hair styling, face gem, shimmering makeup and nail polish. For hair styles she could choose from pop, diva, or fairy tale. She decided to go with the fairy tale style.

The boutique was pretty quiet while we were there. In this picture DH is receiving a message from DD10 on the wave phone asking if she could eat at the club. The wave phones sure were handy for getting a hold of each other.

While Bonita worked on her hair style another Fairy Godmother in Training painted her nails with the nail polish color that she chose.

When her nails were finished it was time for some make up.

Being silly with the face gem!

That's better.

The whole time Bonita was working she was interacting with DD7. It was really quite sweet.

Time for some pixie dust.

After her hair and make up was finished it was time to receive her royal sash.

The whole time they were working on DD7 they had her turned away from the mirror so that she couldn't see herself. It was time to turn around for the big reveal. I think she was pretty pleased!

The Mickey barrette was a nice touch.

I think Daddy was pretty pleased with the results as well.

Our experience at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was worth every penny. Bonita was so engaging and made it such an enjoyable time. princess:
