An evening at CR?

Hi all.

We are thinking of doing Contempo Cafe, shopping the concourse, maybe a loop on the monorail and viewing Wishes from the 4th floor for an evening in August. Wishes is at 10pm. This would be a non park day.

I'm not used to August crowds. We last ate at CC on our arrival day in Dec 2010 and found it to be very good. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. I'd like to avoid some of the dinner rush.

On a MSEP/Wishes night, is there are time of the evening that CC and the monorail get particularly crowded? Is there a sweet spot for timing that would be good to shoot for?

On such an evening, about how long should we allow for a round trip ride on the monorail from CR?

Also, Wishes. Do they pipe in the music on the 4th like they do at Cali Grill? About how early should we stake a spot if the little ones need to be on a rail rather than behind tall people?

Thanks!

Fun!

Yep, they pipe in the music into the 4th floor observation deck for Wishes. As for location, if you are facing MK, if you go to the left-hand corner of the deck, that is the best spot to view the fireworks. Some parts of the other areas of the deck can be a bit obstructed by the monorail. You'll see people kind of congregate in that corner a bit before the show. If you want to be right up there in that corner, maybe get there 30 minutes early? Just a guess. The other areas are ok too, but that corner seems to be the best.

I'm not sure about the crowds at the Contempo Cafe..I've never had a problem there finding a seat. I like it too...I think it's better than a lot of table services!

A round-trip ride on the monorail, I might allow for a half hour from start to finish.

Hope this helps :)
