Welcome to April!:flower3:

I think Spring might finally be here! :cool1:

No better time than right now to set a goal and get moving! :yay:

If you haven't joined us before, this is an awesome, very supportive group that loves to cheer on participants to meet their goals!:cheer2:

I challenge you to push just a little harder this month to get in a little bit more activity. Plan your gym time/runs/walks/swims, etc and get in that exercise.

Did you know that a goal of 1800 min for the month is just 60 min a day of activity?
A goal of 900 min is 30 min of activity per day. :goodvibes

How the challenge works:
Post your personal goal for March (xxxx minutes of exercise) and then post updates as frequently as you like. Progress will be tracked here.
Please post your update total at the top of your post.
You are also welcome to share your activity as well.
EXAMPLE:
301/1800
45 min running.

As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color:
At 10% you'll be blue and on the move!
At 25% you'll be hitting it hard and hot pink!
At 50% you'll be purple and halfway there!
At 75% you'll be teal and cruising to the finish
At 90% you'll be red (because you'll be on fire!)
And at 100% you'll be WISH green!

Here we go! Post your self-challenge and I'll add you to the list!

The plank challenge!

Report results as: Plank Challenge 6/6 or 6/7 or 5/6, 7/7 etc.
I will track results only. :)

After an abysmal try in February and March, I am still determined to finish this stinking challenge!
To keep it simple:
Your choice this month of how you do your planks. You can even include rest days. :)

My goal is: 2 full planks for 30 seconds each day.

Please note: :)

I do not track minutes by adding in individual workouts. I track by copying what you put in your post (ex 20/2000).

In other words, I do not really like adding. Not because I can't add, or not because excel can't add ;), but because it is faster to set up and update by updating your actual total only.

So please, if at all possible, follow the standard format:

20/2000.

I have a spread sheet that I have been keeping for years that tracks my minutes and adds them each month as well as helps me see what I need to do to stay on track for the rest of the month. If anyone wants a copy I can email it to them. :)

Thanks!

I'm in! What the heck - let's go with 1400 and see what happens! :thumbsup2

Maybe I'll get some more planks in this month....

I am in for 500 minutes. I really need to get moving. It is going to be a challenge with everything going but it might just help me to keep things in perspective.

Nice to see you!

YEY!

I'm in for 1900 again, gonna try and hit it this time!! :thumbsup2

This is your month, I know it! :)

I am in for 2014 minutes again.

And a mile a day (at least).

And 2 (30 sec) planks a day. :)

I'm back! Still supposed to stay off my feet; spring break was great for being a slob! Now it's time to start keeping track of my time again. Since instead of walking I am swimming I will go for 1000 minutes. That seems like hardly anything compared to what I used to do. ;( hope I make it! I will also do the plank challenge, but instead of 2 30 second ones think I will just do a full minute.
Thanks, Rose for hosting!

Rose, thank you for giving the gift of your time and energy to once again keep us organized, motivated and on track.

I hit 850 in February, 875 in March.

Let's go for 900 in April.

Happy to find you. I am in for 900 minutes! I've been doing 30 on an elliptical for the past month or so. I'm normally not an exercise person, but this morning when I woke at 5:30 and thought I could fit my workout in now. So I guess I am an exercise person!

I hit a plateau on my weight loss and still have a long way to go. The workout has started me back down the pounds! But I need a support system. I am noticing sadly that people are not as supportive as I would like.

Hey java - I think you'll find lots of encouragement here, so WELCOME and good luck girl!!!

As someone who lost 40 lbs with WW, then 3 pregnancies and ACL surgery, I can personally say you need to be your own support system. Take one day at a time and keep trying. That said, this thread is awesome, and my DH has always been there for me!

I am in again! Going for 1000 minutes this month! :thumbsup2

Thanks Rose for keeping those threads going, it is such a great motivation to keep exercising!

Welcome!
I think this is a great place. Lots of folks to cheer you on, and lots of positive thoughts if you run into some challenges. :)

edited...still trying to figure out this quote stuff....
I saw below that you got a single quote. :)
For multi quotes hit the + button and it will turn to -. Then when you hit post reply all your multi quotes show up. You can delete extra content, just leave the formatting in each post. Hope this helps!

I'm in again. Trying for 1500 this month. Thanks!!!

Okay, I'm going to bump my total up to 1800 this month since I moved more than I thought I would in March. I have a trip over Easter to NYC and a weekend trip to Disney this month so we'll see...

I'm in again for this, too. Front plank of 60 seconds and side planks of 30 seconds each. I'm going to say 5 days/week for my goal because it's FINALLY riding season, and I doubt I'll do planks of riding days.
