GKTW Event: 4th annual NE Dis Meet to benifit GKTW - Oct 3-5, 2014

Well from the Podcast clues...it sounds as if maybe the DIS NE Meet may not be to far from my home location! I am super excited! Cannot wait for the final announcement. Oh and the tip about saving now for the auctions....AWESOME! Thanks everyone!

Hi all, I am new to the DIS and was wondering what happens at a DIS meet? I am very excited to go and by the clues it does not look to be too far from me.

Each one can be a bit different...at the New England meet, we always have raffle items and a silent auction. We occasionally do a live auction of an item or two. We have trivia over dinner, which helps get people talking with each other. Sometimes we'll have different "tracks" where people can go to one of several places, or strike out on their own between scheduled events. Last year we did a "game show" as well, and we had a mini-golf "tournament" with some local members of the 501st Legion keeping the peace...

We're still working on the schedule details for this year's meet...

We generally have quite a few cool items up for auction...I know of a couple REAL cool ones, but they won't even let me drop a clue yet

Looking forward to my first Dis Meet in MA! I missed it last year due a family wedding. Can't wait to meet some fellow Disney fans.

I think it was supposed to be announced live but Livestream collapsed under the load of everyone trying to find out where it is.

I'm not sure exactly how much information has been revealed so far, or how much is nailed down, but we're meeting this weekend and we should be able to provide more details soon.
