Park Hopping with 3 FP+ per park being reported

thats what it's supposed to do its only being rumored right now that it will be able to park hop. Right now you cannot use one here two there you must use all three at one park.

This seems to go so well with FP+...

"Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out".

And that, my liege, is how we know the world to be banana shaped.

You have to use all 3 in one park as of right now

Not exactly accurate....If you didn't use all three at the first park you can choose attractions at your second park when you arrive. You can do this by going to one of the kiosks. Just did it two weeks ago.

It is a lot of changes very quickly to something many thought they were experts on. For the most part no one likes change. My perspective is I am having a love/hate relationship with the bands and FP+. It doesn't make or break my vacation, it is just a fact that I have to deal with and adjust my touring to work with it.

So true. As the OP of this rumor, it continues frequently in some of the FB Disney Groups I'm in. It's actually super annoying that "experts" keep saying that it is just not possible. I myself haven't had the chance to try, but the screen shots keep getting posted of people having multiple parks with 3 FP+ per park in the same day. What I DO notice about these people is they make their 2nd park 3 FP+ after the same day after they use at least their first FP+. So, yes, I realize that it seems "everyone" is "unable" to do this, but there are people who continue to do so and "prove it". Perhaps their is a method to the madness and they don't even realize they have the magic touch.

Like you, it won't make or break my vacation, but I like the rumor because it'd be nice to be able to use FP+ while Park Hopping. I'm not one to tie myself down in one park per day.

So you would have to make the 3 FP allowed in the AM in order to get the other 3 in the PM? Currently I have most of my FP in the PM except for one day. It would be nice to pick 3 FP in the AM since I'm afraid of changing the ones I already have in the PM.

Totally agree with what I *want*. It'd be great if you could make 3 FP+ each for all parks (or 2 parks?) in the same day no matter what time. I'd have to agree that they should keep the regulation to 1 an hour like they currently have.

That being said, I do see issues with this similar to how dining was where people would book reservations and never show up. We already hear about FP+ being gone for non-on-site guests when they get there that day. If guests are not limited to one park, then they'd be able to make FP+ in another park they may never show up to, so yeah... abuse of the system could be a little crazy. Like I said, I'd prefer to make all my FP+ in all parks I want to on any given day, but if I can't have that.... I'd rather have 3 before 1pm that I have to use and 3 after in another park rather than just 3 in one park.

If that ended up being allowed a lot of people might feel the need to revise their plans. In response to the three FP+ only we decided not to park hop. We'll arrive at rope drop, do all we can and return after an afternoon break to use our FP. If I knew we had access to six FPs at two parks I would rethink our itinerary, except all our dining is already booked.

First everyone is unhappy that they can only get three... and that you can't park hop... and that off site can't get any...and what about AP's... and then AP's get FPP, and then off site gets them, and then you can park hop, and then you can get more than 3.... When will everyone realize that this is in an evolving form and stop with the "I'm never going again"?

I do agree but I also understand the frustration!

Coming from the UK we stay for 3wks every trip, that means in November I paid £15,000 to stay at the Poly and only had 3fP+ a day an they stopped the collecting of normal FPs and in June-July when its crazy busy I'm paying another £11,900 to stay at SSR for 3wks and yet I'm only getting 3FP again!!!

So I do feel that while they are working out kinks I'm losing out MAJORLY on the perks, for them to work out the kinks and then roll out hopping with FP+ or more FPs to other people when my holiday is done!

So with all that in mind I will Not be booking another stay until they have made it worth the money again, I go every single yr and would never normally do summer " we always go quite times like September-October-November but hubby's is deployed and we had to move our may trip due to this, and I wasn't as worried until they brought out FP took away the GAC for our autistic son and have made getting FPs for hopping non existent :(

We were there the last week in Feb, and while we were actually only able to use 3FP per day, one of the times I tried to modify a FP I was given options in another park. However, the system never allowed me to actually complete the change. After I got home, I received a rather lengthy survey about FP+, asking me to rate the current system, and then proposing several different options, asking me to evaluate them individually, and then rank them in order of preference. All of the options started with 3 choices per day, but then included things like one additional FP after 1 PM, 3 at any given time (make another selection as soon as you use one,) or make 3 new selections when you've used all your current ones. All options included the ability to make selections in more than one park. It'll be interesting to see what changes are actually made!

For that kind of cash I could definitely see you waiting for everything to settle out. I guess I am just in a very different boat. I'm 2 hours away, have paid for my DVC years ago, and the resident annual pass is still under $300.

For dues of about 2400 a year we get about 14 nights in a 1 bedroom.

Yea I walked past DVC booths for 3 years wondering who would be that stupid? Well it was me for not buying 3 years earlier.

Or $2400 for 28 nights in a studio (at a deluxe resort)-folks tend to forget how fast the purchase pays back, as well as the residual value you could get by selling.

Your situation can get you a deluxe resort studio for about $75 per night ($85 tax value) and a daily hopper pass for about $10 (excluding day trips even).

That would work whether you hopped or not though. You would just stay put in the same park and enjoy the three rides that afternoon. If someone wants to hop then of course you can set them up in the second park.

Has that been confirmed?

I haven't used FP+ yet, but it seems that it should plainly increase, not decrease, the likelihood of park hopping regardless of whether the system allows 3 FP+ per day or per park.

Under the old system, if you went to park 1 in the morning and then park hopped in the afternoon, you likely had to go standby on the e-ticket rides or, if you were really lucky, get one a FP for the evening (TSM often out by noon, Soarin' by 2pm, etc). To me, that was an impediment to hopping.

Under the new system, I can get 3 FP+ for park 2 in the afternoon and spend all morning in park 1. As other posters have pointed out, with shorter morning lines, I can still do the e-ticket stuff in park 1 even if I can't get any FP+ for that park. So under this new system, I can be sure of riding the top attractions in 2 parks whereas before, I was only sure of it in one. Of course, it's even better if I can also get 3 FP+ in park 1 for the morning (or park 3 for the evening), but even if I can't, I would still be more inclined to do a different park in the afternoon than under the old system.

As noted in my parenthetical, allowing FP+ in multiple parks would increase the likelihood of 3 park hopping than 2 park hopping since you can never hop in the evening under the old system and still get onto a ride like Soarin or TSM. But now you can ride EE in the morning with a short line when the park opens, Soarin in the afternoon and, if you can get FP+ in multiple parks, TSM in the evening.

Subbing :goodvibes

Hoping to get some clarification so when we hit our 60 day window next month I can plan accordingly. I was thinking that we needed to book FP+ for the afternoon/evening and ride what we can in the morning.....but with what I am reading here, that may not be true.....Booking 3 in the morning to free up 3 more in the evening.....:confused3

keep em guessing. Control through confusion.

There was a time when FP was not a thing .

Yeah and back then the lines were shorter, and there were a lot less people in the parks. Sure they had busy times, but not everyday.

These days WD is crowded, all the time all day long and it costs twice as much is REAL ADUSTED dollars than it did during the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

That is OVER TWICE as much in inflation adjusted dollars, for longer lines, more people and super expensive food.

Just saw this on another thread. Thought I'd share. Looks like it will be available for when 7DMT will open. Just my opinion.

Here is an update on the timeline from the Disney Blog. Tom Staggs is with Disney. Penny on April 2nd, 2014 at 12:35 pm So glad to hear that you are working on being able to add additional fast passes once you use your three per day. When do you anticipate this will be available? Will you be able to book the additional, above 3, on a mobile device or will you have to use a kiosk? Tom Staggs on April 7th, 2014 at 11:12 am Thank you for the comment, Penny. As I mentioned, we’re working on providing guests with the ability to add and enjoy additional entitlements on the day of their visit, and also provide them the ability to make additional FastPass+ selections after park-hopping. We expect both to come online later this spring.
