While Brian was snorkeling I relaxed under an umbrella, read, and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Serenity Bay was already super crowded when we got there. We had to walk quite a way to find an empty umbrella/chairs.

I had been looking forward to relaxing in the water, but it was too high and too choppy for me, the wind was crazy on that side of the island. I brought a chair down to the shoreline and thought I might just relax with my feet in the water...no such luck, the waves kept hitting me in the face.

The waves did not bother Brian in the least, but he can also swim like a fish.

Brian swam for a little while and up on shore I was absolutely miserable. The wind was brutal, my ears were starting to hurt in addition to the cough and when he came back I asked if he was okay with eating lunch and going back to the ship, so that's what we did. We ate at the buffet there at Serenity Bay and it was really good. My only complain is that there isn't a lot of seating, so you have to be quick and it helps if you're open to sharing. I saw a couple eating alone while we were still in line and asked if we could sit with them, they said they were actually getting ready to leave so I could have the whole table, so I left some of our stuff there to hold our spot. There was a couple in front of us who were talking about finding a table, so I offered to share ours, it worked out well.

Enjoying your report! Is it a quick walk to Serenity bay from the family beach or did you take the tram? We are cruising in a couple weeks and have never been to serenity bay. I would like to take an hour to enjoy it this time around!

It's a pretty long walk, I'd definitely recommend taking the tram.
