If my kids participate in the Dine & Play during late seating at Animator's Palate, will they miss any of the 'show'?

Thank you :)

Yes. The show is timed throughout dinner. On the Fantasy the crush show just flows throughout the meal, but does continue until the end of dinner. The animation show just has small snips of cartoons until desert is served. That is when the main show with your drawings is done. This will be the same on the 7-night Magic cruises. The show color change and parade on the Wonder happens close to desert as well. I am guessing the color change show on the magic still has the same timing.

I'm assuming that if you signed up for Dine & Play, but wanted your kids to stay throughout the whole meal on say Animators Palate night, you could just tell them that they weren't doing the program that night?

You don't even need to sign up for Dine and Play -- you just choose whether to send your kids over to join the counselor when they come on. If the kids aren't ready to leave, you can bring them to the Oceaneer's Club or Lab after dinner (or between enters and dessert, or at any other time).

And I have to add to this from our experience...the counselors do NOT come inside the restaurant. It is very much up to the parents to first let the server know that the child needs to eat quickly for dine&play, to get the child to decide quickly (and IMO it's important that the child stick to the child menu because if they order from the other menu it's going to slow things down), and then pay attention to the time so you can get the child out to the counselors.

It's not something the ship spoon-feeds to you at all; you have to take the lead in it. Which is different than the rest of the cruise, so it was surprising to me. :)

Thanks for the tips, that's great to know!

Thank you for this - I just assumed they come I
in when it's time - good to know I will have to keep an eye on the time and not when I see the counselors!

We just got off the Magic in in some places they did come to all the tables and others they did not?

Tell your servers, but watch the clock for sure!
