Joining in!!! My living room is the same color as yours (that green color). off to read more!

Ooh, signing up for this one
I feel like I am your TR stalker ;)
Great shots of the castle and wow, perfect view of the fireworks
Mmm, boardwalk bakery looks yummo, I shall be taking a stroll over there in October for sure :thumbsup2

Ellen! I'm in! God, I miss WDW at Christmastime. Before the kids were too old to be pulled out of school for a week, we used to go the first week of December every year. Perfect time, because it's all decorated for Christmas, it's not crowded, it's not hot, and Mike's birthday is that week. Now, we are slaves to the school calendar. Sniff. Dying to hear what NYE on DCL is like.

And Sean got a new Dr. Seuss book I see? Sweet.

I'm in! You're getting me in the cruise mood! :cool1: I'm ALMOST to the single digit dance for ours! Can't wait to get out of the snow. This winter's been so rough! As it stands, DS will have to make up one week in June. They've missed 10 days since January 1.:crazy2:

Your pics are great as always! It looks as if you had a great Xmas, and got lots done your first night in the park!

Great report...as usual!

Thank you for sharing.....dreaming of a week long Fantasy cruise.

I will have to settle for a 3 day Dream with 4 nights at Vero Beach this summer.

Can not wait to read the rest.....:thumbsup2

Another snowy night in Jersey.....are you as sick as I am in NJ!

Always love reading your trip report, looking forward to more!

Wonderful! I love your trip reports.

I must say, your standard view was very nice. Much better than the one we had, which was the famous parking lot view....You would think Disney could figure out how to make a parking lot look interesting. Oh well, like you, we were there for just one night so it did not matter as much as it would have if we had been staying for a week.

Your trip reports are terrific! Can't wait to read more!

Bobbi:goodvibes

Hi Bobbi! :lovestruc Thanks so much for the compliment! I am honored to have you following along!

I'm here! Just saw the link on your Cali TR...thought it might be an update there...:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Yea...SO??????:rotfl:

I love the Christmas decorations..Disney really goes all out! 42 points for one night? :scared: That's almost half my entire contract! No wonder I only go on off seasons!

Jill in CO

I know! I tried not to think about it- you know, like, that in September it would have been a few nights in a studio somewhere....:rolleyes2

Subbing and will catch up later

Hi Rosie! So happy you are here!

How did I miss that you started this!! I'm here now - looking forward to remembering our wonderful cruise!

You didn't miss a thing- I just did start! I am looking forward to remembering our wonderful cruise, too- I hope you are OK co-starring in the memories because you are IN most of them! :thumbsup2

Joining in!!! My living room is the same color as yours (that green color). off to read more!

Cool! I actually have 2 walls that are green, (Sussex green, maybe?) and 2 that are a tan that is gold- then my livingroom/dining room is a rust color called Audobon russet- very warm, fall type colors. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: Stalk away future cruise friend! I was only using my P&S camera at the park, didn't feel like lugging the DSLR around- so I am REALLY happy they turned out!
And i will see you at that bakery in October! I do like the Bellvue Lounge for breakfast there, too-

Subbing in! Will be back to read up.

Hi Alison! Thanks for joining in!

::yes:: :thumbsup2

It's all good though. Now I'm here too and can't wait to hear all about your cruise!

MYST!!!!!! I am SO HAPPY to see you here! If it ever stops snowing every other day, we should REALLY have lunch!

Ellen! I'm in! God, I miss WDW at Christmastime. Before the kids were too old to be pulled out of school for a week, we used to go the first week of December every year. That IS the best time to go- and I feel your pain on the vacation timing thing with older kids. EVERYTHING is cheaper then- the hotels, the DVC, the cruises....just have to be glad you had the foresight and the ability to do it while you could! And NYE on DCL- incredible!!!!

And Sean got a new Dr. Seuss book I see? Sweet.

Yes! Sean always gets a new DR Seuss book, because he loves them to DEATH and they disintegrate. That one will take some warming up though- he hasn't had it before, so he needs to get used to the sight and thought of it (because it is different) before he will open it and enjoy it.

10 snow days???? :scared1: That is INSANE!!! Do the teachers there have something in their contract that puts a limit on how far into the summer they will work? Here they have to be done by some date in June, I think. But NJ has a VERY strong teachers Union. I LOVE going somewhere warm in winter- it makes the cold so much easier to cope with because you had a break, ya know?:goodvibes

Great report...as usual!

THANK YOU!!:goodvibes

Thank you for sharing.....dreaming of a week long Fantasy cruise.

It is a WONDERFUL thing!

I will have to settle for a 3 day Dream with 4 nights at Vero Beach this summer.

That is NOTHING to sneeze at! Sounds like a fantastic vacation, to me!

Can not wait to read the rest.....:thumbsup2

Another snowy night in Jersey.....are you as sick as I am in NJ!

Probably not- I was in the Caribbean and in Mexico last month, so I have no room to complain! :rotfl: I am just happy I get to work in my sweatpants from my computer at home- it's a lot warmer when you don't leave the house!:rotfl:

You caught me by surprise! Jumping on to save my space. Be back later after catching up!:coffee:

Hey Doris! SURPRISE!!!! I finally started!! :cheer2:

Always love reading your trip report, looking forward to more!

Thank you, what a lovely thing to say! :o I look forward to writing more and sharing it with you!

Wonderful! I love your trip reports.

Awwww...thanks Kate!

I must say, your standard view was very nice. Much better than the one we had, which was the famous parking lot view....You would think Disney could figure out how to make a parking lot look interesting. Oh well, like you, we were there for just one night so it did not matter as much as it would have if we had been staying for a week.

I thought it was a nice view, too- also a GREAT location!I know it could have been of the parking lot- I was so happy we got what we got- but like you, it was only a night, so not a huge deal if we had been at the parking lot.

All caught up now! How cool that you ditched the family and did what YOU wanted! I'm glad you finally got to fulfill your dream of seeing WDW at Christmas. I do have to admit that having DL so accessible makes it easier to take that I have no plans in the near future to see Christmas at WDW, but someday... :rolleyes1 Until then I'll just have to live vicariously through yours and other TRs.

We were in the park in no time with our Magic Bands and International Gateway access- stopped for a pic on our way over to TT-

Please note their Tshirts from last week's Superbowl- WHICH WAS IN NEW JERSEY People!!!!!

It didn't seem at all crowded here EXCEPT when you wanted to go on a popular ride (like TT).

Fortunately, I had scheduled FP+ times, so we were good to go on that end! Unfortunately, I had forgotten that I had made the time later than I originally had planned (my plan was if a Christmas miracle happened and I was able to motivate my kids to get out of bed before 10, we would go over to DHS in the morning to ride RnRC and ToT before going over to Epcot. HAH!). So we marched up...and were told to come back later. OOPS. We decide to check out the Sum of all Thrills in Innoventions East- which was also a little busier than we wanted, so we ended up checking out Stormstruck instead. With out Pods. Who was right behind us....and then wasn't. (We found out later he got a business call). Anyway-

This was interesting, and we learned that you don't want ANY of us building a storm-proof house for YOU, because we apparently are the three little pigs with a house of straw. Or something like that. The CM who was doing this show was the WORST I have ever seen or heard ANYWHERE. I could have gotten up there and read the presentation and been more engaging than this flat girl was. Afterwards, we located Pods and went back over to TT-

Of course, Pods insisted our car be pink! :rotfl2: The boys' car was a little spicier-

Time to ride!

GO!!!!!!

It was Tyler's first new TT ride, and he did like it- especially because the boys' car beat our little Pink one.

Afterwards, the boys did a little car shopping-

Yea, sure. Back outside, it looked like the standby line was just a tad long....

MAJOR YIKES!!!!!

We had some time to kill before our next ride, which was going to be Mission Space. So we made a beeline for WS and a snack- and saw...the Monkey King in China!

Sadly, I did NOT get any monkey kisses today. But this was one of the BIG reasons I was dying to come to WDW at Christmas- all these stories from all the different countries' holiday traditions. So magical!

PLUS- all the special food and drinks!

Those were REALLY hard! Tasty, but hard. We also got some eggrolls-

And Pods and I shared-

Although Pods did not have too much because he is not a coffee drinker. I thought it was great! Strong, but great! Service was with a BIG smile-

At this point, the boys started to whine- really, they clearly wanted to be on their own. So we said good bye for a bit, with a promise to meet up at MS a bit later.

Pods and I stopped at a booth with the most beautiful ornaments-

And THESE- I have one from F&G from our first year at it, but I have not seen them there since. Hopefully they will be back!

Cont'd next post-

Further ahead, they were also selling THIS-

We tried a Gluhwein-

OMG...it is SOOOO good! We bought two bottles to bring home for next Christmas- YUM! More service with a smile!

Have you ever seen the Precious Moments dolls? They are so..umm..precious! And they are exclusively sold in Disney parks.Well, today, the doll designer was at Epcot signing her dolls. So I decided to get Mary Poppins for my cousin's toddler. She was more than happy to sign the foot to Cecily Dove- so sweet!

Next we hit Japan, where we ate

which was not our favorite thing of the trip. The entertainment while we ate, though, was fantastic! The storyteller spoke about the Daruma Doll, and the customs of the New Year- she was EXTREMELY entertaining, a very animated performer!

In France,

we wanted to try Les Halles-

The line was really not so bad, we were through it in just 10 minutes or so.

I LOVE France! lol- he was so sweet!

We ended up sharing what I can not find on the menu but was a Tarte Provenciale, I think? It had eggplant, roasted peppers and goat cheese. We also had a glass of Moet Imperial champagne,a pinot noir and a box of assorted Macarons for later (MUCH later!).

Aren't they so pretty?

I really need to get back to France on my next visit (coming up next month, I hope!) to try out all the ice creams they have now-

Up next- we make some new friends from Canada!

All caught up !!Thanks to your links !!!I loved the Christmas Story tellers , that and the Osborne Lights were my biggest MUST DO's !!!The different resorts decorations were fantastic !!! I dfinately plan another trip that time of year again , but NOT this year !!!
