Get Off The Ship - we are running out of towel animals! Update 10/25 Day 31

I love the Moet & Chandon Ice Champagne to Karin :goodvibes
I've never managed to find a bottle to buy here in the UK though
I didn't know that they have vegetable quesedillas on the lunch menu, I would love those :thumbsup2

What adorable FE gifts! :thumbsup2

The champagne tasting sounds like something right up my alley. How fun!

Your burgers look pretty darn good, too! Nothing beats mickey ketchup, until you have to dip your fries in it. :rotfl:

The FE Gifts looked very interesting !! I can well imagine that after all the Champagne you needed some food , the quesadillas looked wonderful !! I agree the Hamburger looked HUGE!!!

I too love the Moet Ice! ahhhhh it's very difficult to find anywhere except fine resorts - looking forward to September so I can have some more!

I have to admit that I had quite a few glasses of the Ice Champagne. :cloud9:

Tom found some bottles on ebay - we have never found them around here either.

Linda, you have to try the vegetable quesadillas. They are really nice! And they have a halibut dish as well (I always sub mash instead of the rice it comes with) which is heaveny. :thumbsup2

We got the most awesome gifts on that second cruise. Don't get me wrong we got some really nice ones on the first one as well, but the gifts of the second cruise were absolutely amazing. :goodvibes

I am sure Ellen will get you all set up for the tasting on your cruise. Your really should do the champagne one. It's so nice and you really get to try some great champagnes. :thumbsup2

We got some really great gifts on that cruise, Rosie! If you get to cruise again, you should sign up for the FE, it is so much fun. :goodvibes
Those hamburgers were really HUGE. If we had known about their size we could easily have shared one.

I too love the Moet Ice! ahhhhh it's very difficult to find anywhere except fine resorts - looking forward to September so I can have some more!

Yeah! Another one who loves Moet Ice! :woohoo:
I promise to have one for you in two weeks when we return to the Dream. ;)

Day 12, August 18

Day at sea means lots of food - Part 3

But about an hour later we were out and about again, heading up to the top deck for the drink of the day.
We stayed and watched people in the main pool for a while

before we headed past the Splash area

and up to Currents where we picked up two drinks of the day,

a “blue-ish” concoction which wasn’t really my drink at all. We found some deck chairs half in the shade, made ourselves comfortable watching the waves and sipping our drink.

We talked about our vacation so far and what was still ahead of us and after about half an hour we gave up our seats as it got way too hot for us. And since we were already walking around we headed down to deck 4 and made our on board booking.
I told the lady that we already held a booking and what ship and date it was for and asked NOT to be put on that same cruise. She promised it would not happen and went on to book a pretty cheap cruise. Back in our room I went online and checked the reservation and low and behold it was for the same cruise. Needless to say that we headed right back to the Future cruise desk and since the lady who had sold us the cruise was busy with other guests, the second cast member sitting there worked with us and got things sorted out.
We walked through the Vista Gallery again and then slowly made our way back to our stateroom. We rested for a little while out on the veranda just long enough for the first dinner seating to be close to opening time and then, now in swimsuits we headed up to deck 12 to Satellite Falls.

There was only one other lady there and so we had no problem finding loungers and having the water area to ourselves. Having missed it on the first cruise we found it to be a lot of fun

and spent about half an hour in there until we could see thunder and lightning in the distance.
So we packed up our stuff and headed one deck down to the adult pool, which again had to ourselves.

We swam a bit, but the pool is small and there is not much swimming to be done and once the heavens got darker we got out of that pool and headed over to the hot tub.
And as always the thought of being able to look down to the sea through the glass bottom made me a bit uneasy,

but we soon got over it in the bubbling hot water. We watched the clowds getting closer and closer and there were some really frightening lightnings,

so after about 15 minutes we decided to get out, dry off and try to fit in dinner before we wanted to head to the Walt Disney Theatre for this evening’s performance of Aladdin.
So once back in the stateroom we jumped in the shower, got dressed nicely and headed up to Cabanas for dinner.

To be continued ............

Sounds like a good morning and some afternoon.
The champagne tasting sounds good.
MMM, the quesadilla looks good.
Not sure if I like that glass bottom floor. Might make me sick too.
Some nasty looking clouds.
All caught up.

Great photos of the glass bottom hot tub!

Thank you, Linda!
It is nice to see the ocean through that window, but it took some getting used to. :rotfl2:

It was a beautiful day! We had a lot of yummy food and wonderful drinks and really enjoyed our day at sea. :goodvibes

A nice hot tub sounds perfect right now! I do think it is neat you can see down to the ocean, but again at the same time freaky!

Oh my! You got quite the goodies in your FE!

The champagne tasting looks like it was a lot of fun. I can see why you would need something to eat after though. What better to eat to help metabolize that champagne than a giant burger. Looks very yummy!

As I saw the picture of your blue drink, I thought "wow, that is a different drink for her. Then I read
a “blue-ish” concoction which wasn’t really my drink at all.

:rotfl:

I am not sure how I feel about that glass bottom in the hot tub! I think it would freak me out just a tad. ;)

I am trying to post more pretty soon. We are close to half term here and things at school get pretty hectic, not to mention that I enrolled in two all day courses. :scared1:
But I hope to be able to get a bit done this weekend. :thumbsup2

I did follow the weather reports for Florida and it looked quite chilly, but I am SURE it is warmer than it is here. ;)
It has been very cold with lots of snow lately. :sad2:

I can't believe we are missing each other in two weeks. But at least we are planning on going back for 4 weeks in August of 2015, so plenty of time to plan and plenty of time there to meet again. :goodvibes

:cool1::cool1::cool1:we will have to make plans way in advance and pray everyone is healthy!!!
The FE gift your received are so NICE !!
The storm pictures are quite impressive and a little scary!!!

As usual, Karin, I’m playing catch-up.

I am totally cracking up that you two were just sitting one deck above us as we sailed away!

Hey - we were in Royal Court (second seating) that first night too! That spinach/cheese souffle looks yummy, and the soup looks perfect. Mmmmm

Very cool to read about the Captain’s Reception for your fancy gold and platinum people. ;)

I really wanted to do the Champagne tasting, but I tend to forget all about them (and the need to sign up for them) once we board the ship. Maybe next time. It looks like so much fun!

Oh, I love going to Royal Court for lunch! So yummy, and I like being surrounded by all the fancy princess stuff.

Feeling a little envious of your adult-only-area time though…...

Hi Karin I've been following along your awesome TR but haven't posted yet. Just wanted to say thanks for all the pics and time you've put into this awesome report! Makes my long wait until cruising next April a bit more bearable! Would love to do a btb someday. We had one booked on the Dream but we love the Caribbean itinerary to much so we switched back to the Fantasy. We went last June and had Captain Tom so we definitely know about the no whistle thing just didn't know what his reasoning was. On top of the rain as we were leaving Port Canaveral not hearing the horn just totally set the cruise off to a sour start but we didn't let that ruin our week :) I hope he's gone by next April or learns how to play the horns:rotfl: We had a medical emergency and woke up to Nassau instead of Castaway Cay and as we were leaving Royal Caribbean sounded a goodbye to us and so did the Dream. We thought for sure he'd sound off a response to the Dream at least. We just thought that was pretty rude. Hope you have a great time on your cruise coming up. We really want to move to Florida just to be closer to cruising :rotfl2:

French toast and pineapple stack! Wow, sounds delicious!

Love the 'drink up me hearties yo ho' shot glasses and small shots to accompany them. Great idea!

I'm not too familiar with Champagnes, other than I enjoy drinking it when i get a chance:banana: How interesting to drink that particular champagne with ice.

Did you say the hot tub has glass bottom? Like the entire hot tub?! That would be a little freaky:eek:

Hi Karin! I love how you can find something new to do and share on your 2nd leg of the B2B :thumbsup2 I didn't know the hot tub had a glass bottom! That is so :cool1: I can't believe they double booked you on the same cruise. You would think the system might flag them that there was a duplicate or something:confused3

A nice hot tub sounds perfect right now! I do think it is neat you can see down to the ocean, but again at the same time freaky!

It IS quite neat to be able to see the ocean - on the other hand I was so afraid of "stepping" onto the glass - it felt like it was drawing me down. :lmao:

Oh my! You got quite the goodies in your FE!

We got GREAT gifts that trip! :goodvibes

The champagne tasting looks like it was a lot of fun. I can see why you would need something to eat after though. What better to eat to help metabolize that champagne than a giant burger. Looks very yummy!

The tasting was really nice! And having some nice food afterwards was awesome too. :lmao:
I just was not prepared for the size of the burger. :goodvibes

As I saw the picture of your blue drink, I thought "wow, that is a different drink for her.

It was "different" - well, it was just not what I like to drink. Not even Tom did like it. :rotfl2:

I am not sure how I feel about that glass bottom in the hot tub! I think it would freak me out just a tad. ;)

Ann, on the one hand it was awesome to see the ocean, while sitting in the nice hot water - on the other hand though, stepping onto the glass made me very queezy - like it was pulling me down. :lmao:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:we will have to make plans way in advance and pray everyone is healthy!!!
The FE gift your received are so NICE !!
The storm pictures are quite impressive and a little scary!!!

I am sure we can make it happen in 2015, Michelle!

We got some great FE gifts on that cruise, we had some REALLY crafty people in the group.

The storm looked really scary and there was lots of thunder and lightning, but funnily enough it never really caught up with us. ;)

As usual, Karin, I’m playing catch-up.

That's what I usually do on your thread. :rotfl2:

I am totally cracking up that you two were just sitting one deck above us as we sailed away!

It's a small world after all. :rolleyes1

Hey - we were in Royal Court (second seating) that first night too! That spinach/cheese souffle looks yummy, and the soup looks perfect. Mmmmm

We were seated across the room of you at a quiet little table for two as well. ;)

Very cool to read about the Captain’s Reception for your fancy gold and platinum people. ;)

:woohoo: Free drinks! What's not to love. :lmao:

I really wanted to do the Champagne tasting, but I tend to forget all about them (and the need to sign up for them) once we board the ship. Maybe next time. It looks like so much fun!

The Champagne tasting is really nice and worth the price you pay. You really should try to fit it in on your next cruise. :thumbsup2

Oh, I love going to Royal Court for lunch! So yummy, and I like being surrounded by all the fancy princess stuff.

Feeling a little envious of your adult-only-area time though…...

Isn't the Royal Court fun for every kind of meal? We really enjoyed our time there. ;)

I'm with you Karin that Glass bottom Hot Tub would have scared me !!!:scared1:I didn't really care for the Adult pool on the Dream, it was small and to get to the nicer part you were in way to deep water !! I did however LOVE the Adult beach at Castaway Cay!!!:goodvibes

I've never been a big champagne person, but those pics make that tasting look tempting!

And I would kill for a hot tub right now, since I've been doing nothing but shoveling snow here for weeks.

Oh my! the "pulling me down" I think I would never be able to handle that feeling. :rotfl:
