YES, touring Cinderella’s Dream Suite was Amazing!+14 Other Magical Days* Dismeet & Wrap

Wow, that one person wave was awesome. I hope there was a lot of cheering when you finished. I just ordered "I led the Parade" . I can't wait to read it.

Ha ha! Now I have to get through comments before I can update the next chapter... now I'm blaming all of you on the stall! :lmao:

A lovely update, Brenda. So happy you hooked up with Dean and met his wife, and then saw many other CM's you've met along the way.

I'm going to go research that book as soon as I finish washing the floors (I'm on break right now).

I like your little video...you are just too cute for words. And love your walk around the MK. Yes, those coasters could certainly be the center of a conversation.

I have to say that the absolute best character interaction we have ever had has been with Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters! They are wonderful, and I'm glad Em got in on the action.

Beautiful pictures of the castle. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT UPDATE!

Thanks Kathy! Glad I could provide some reading pleasure between washing your floors. :)

If someone didn't know Disney they may think that I'm very macabre although Master Gracey may give it away.

I remember your photos from your interaction with those step sisters. Didn't one of them put part of her dress over her head in an attempt to look like a ghost? I was glad that Em was "encouraged" to join in the fun.

Eeek! Looking forward to seeing the suite!!!

Thank you! Looking forward to sharing. :)

Alex is the best photopass photographer!!!!! I was so glad we went to him. He was a blast and took awesome/funny photos of us! He made my son giggle early on the morning which is hard to do lol

I absolutely agree! That's so cool that he drew a smile out of your son.

We didn't see Alex the first few days of our last visit so I was worried he had moved on in his career. But no fears, he's still there right at the end of Main Street. He's one of the best assets for Disney!

We saw the same actresses who played the step-mother and Anastasia when we ate dinner at the GF last February. They didn't get much of a chance to do their normal "evil" routine since my 3-1/2 year old granddaughter adored them and gave them big hugs. They had to be nice to her. :rotfl: I would have loved to have the kind of interaction that you had with them. :)

Awwww how precious! I can imagine she melted their little "evil" hearts!

All caught up and I haven't missed it!!! Waiting patiently. ::yes::

You must be Disney royalty getting to meet these famous people!! Lucky you.

Hi Linda! Glad you're caught up...and so patient too! :thumbsup2

Love the update! I can't wait to see the reveal of the best suite ever! I'm going to definitely have to get that book!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Thanks Charlotte! I hope that the reveal lives up to the expectation. And thank you from Dean if you purchase the book. I'm certain he would appreciate it. ::yes::

I think that you love to keep us in suspense!! :rolleyes1 Can't wait to read about your tour of Cinderella's Dream Suite!

I'm innocent I tell you! Honestly, I have to post the events leading up to the tour so that it makes sense. I'm glad that you are following along even if the suspense is killin' ya! :rotfl2:

This sounds so fun, nothing like a personal meet and greet of Main Streets' entertainers.

This is why I love Disney, we're all kids at Disney. That's the best one person wave I've ever seen, might be the only one I've ever seen, but definitely the best!

Patiently waiting for the next update. :coffee:

I believe Main Street entertainment does an awesome job so that they make every guest feel special.

Ha ha! Yeah, it really doesn't work well with one person. I'm not sure why I thought that would be a good idea to try. :confused3

I see you have your coffee as you await the next update. :) Thank you for hanging in there!

:rotfl:That was a cute video - thanks for sharing.

Very cool that you got to meet Dean. Hmmm - what could that text message mean???? :confused3:scratching:hyper:

I want that book. Thanks for posting the link!

Glad that Em got into the character interaction. That can really be hit or miss with a teenager!

Thanks Mary Ellen! I'm a goof, the video just proves it!

Hmmm.... seeing as how the title of my TR pretty much says what happened, I'm not so coy. (although no text yet...)

Glad to post the link. It is a great book! :)

Only a few miles away from us. It is COLD. DD and DH are the only ones in our family that the snow in our family, (besides the our Huskie that is) but tonight we are suppose to get wind chills up to -60F! Nearly all the schools are called off around here, except for my kids' school of course. I am not from here originally, so I am not a fan of the icey air.

My sister lives in San Diego... I think it is time for a visit.:beach:

Stay warm! That's some COLD weather! I'm picturing kids all bundled up like the little brother in A Christmas Story who couldn't move in his snow suit. I doubt kids wear snow suits now days.

Since it was sunny and 76 here today I imagine San Diego is similar just so you are aware of the winter temps here. :rotfl2: Ok, that's just rubbing it in now.

Awww Brenda is there anybody you don't know? One thing I loved was how you always make a point to talk to all the CM's by name. Believe me, I noticed (and will be mentioned in my TR you betcha) and I just think it's wonderful. :goodvibes

BARB!!!!! I so love her.

It's either a one person wave... or "This is how you dry nails with Brenda" instuctional video. Either works. :thumbsup2

Haha, I love your interaction with the sisters (and mother). Disney characters reference other Disney movies and such all the time, so no big deal. Keeps 'em on their toes.

Quick question that I don't think I asked you. Are you in the book? You may have already mentioned it, but I can't remember.

And did you really leave on a cliffhanger again????

Hi Rob! Oh silly! I can't even remember anyone that I knew when we hung out... I know many of the servers - that tells you the importance that I place on dining/food! :rotfl: Anyhoo, I believe that I've hung out on Main Street too much to know these people. :rolleyes1 I need to go on more rides.

I'm so glad that Barb is featured on the Magic Express' new video. She is literally amazing! Her blue name tag reflects recognition for her exceptional service.

Ha ha!!! Yes, my instructional video OR a preview of the new parade which is a variation called Move It, Shake It, Wave it!

Whew! I felt really silly referencing Snow White when they were clearly from the house of Tremaine with Cinderella. I suppose the princess are supposed to know each other since they do hang out in the castle together.

Ah, I'm glad you asked about us in the book. I inserted a clarification in my post above. The answer is no, we are not featured in the book. However, I can't confirm or deny if we'll be featured in something else....

No, that was definitely not a cliff hanger. That was me breaking for lunch. Figuratively and literally! :)

Oooh, the suspense is building!!

Hi Julie! So sorry... but thank you for hanging in there and continuing to read. :goodvibes

Fun update! Love how a walk down Main St. for you is like a high school reunion: meeting spouses, catching up on the kids, selfies, etc.

Hi Phil! Ha ha! Don't forget getting smooched by the Mayor! :rotfl2:

Awww... I loved seeing all of the pictures with you and all of the Main Street CMs - especially Dean! How fun!

LOL at your one person wave... It takes a LOT of talent to pull off something like that!

Interesting about the windows... Almost as if you had a premonition! ;)

Can't wait for the next update!!!

D~

Thanks D~! Talent for a one-person wave I have in abundance! More people should post their attempts.

It really was a coincidence to pick out that particular shot of the castle. Makes you wonder.... :wizard:

(You should see something in your mail soon. :))

Wow, that one person wave was awesome. I hope there was a lot of cheering when you finished. I just ordered "I led the Parade" . I can't wait to read it.

Hi Ron! Thank you so much for ordering that book. I'm so very grateful on behalf of Dean.

Not that you asked or alluded to it but I feel the need to say...I have no interest (financial or otherwise) in the book other than I'm a huge fan of what Dean did to create magic for thousands of people for 14 years. Having heard many of the stories first hand before the book was written made me HAVE to order a few. :thumbsup2

Thank you again! :goodvibes

Going back to your reply to my question about overly friendly characters- thanks so much for posting the pictures and story of your visit with Sorcerer Mickey. Too funny!

:rotfl:

The Mayor came over to chat and pose with us for photos with our favorite photopass photographer, Alex. He will make an appearance in more installments of this TR so be on the look-out.

I have to say, The Mayor looks much happier when he has his arm around a pretty lady than he does shaking hands with Dean.

Alex - the BEST photopass photographer/entertainer/comedian on Main Street! He borrowed my camera for a selfie!

You have a favorite Photopass Photographer! I love that!

The one person 'wave' - it's very difficult to pull off this one!
DSCN6935.jpg

Thanks for the backstory on the picture and video. I thought maybe you were getting into the zombie craze that seems so popular.

The Haunted Mansion coasters are fantastic. Of course, if I purchased those, I would have to go full-theme and stop dusting the room I was using them in.

Hi Brenda! I've been MiA since we got back from our December trip... I'm sorry we never bumped into each other. I loved the HM coasters so much, my DH bought them and gave them to me for Christmas. I also wanted the Tomb Sweet Tomb pillow but DH said it wouldn't be appropriate in our room. :( can't wait to see the suite!

How awesome about the book! And with an endorsement from Lee Cockerell. I love reading Disney books sooooooo much.

I love PP Photographer selfies. So awesome.

One person wave = amazing. :lmao:

I've been a long time lurker but I finally had to break my silence and say I'm excited to see the photo of Alex. We're heading down to WDW in 2 weeks and I'll definitely be looking for him to get some great, fun shots.

Also I'm going to have to pick up those HM coasters for MIL. She works at a funeral home and would find them hilarious.

I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. Helps pass the time until mine starts.

Looks like a lot of awesome meetings that morning! I love it when the pp’s take selfies!! BARBRA!! LIKE THE DANCING BARBRA!! I LOVE HER MORE THAN WOOOORRRRDDS

Ahahahaaha I’ve never thought of someone non Disney using those coasters and being like “what?” though I’m sure anyone that knows me would just assume it was something Disney! Lol. Great shots of the tangled area, I loved finding pascals!

Great stories with the Tremaine’s! Love them so much! Definitely not my favorite friends though! Although we have running traditions and jokes with them now, they’re just so amazing!

Obviously I’m super excited to read about lunch and what comes after!!

Hi Brenda! I saw you over on Rob's trip report along with a few others, so I thought I'd come check yours out! I am LOVING it so far! I haven't been able to read as much as I'd like, but I just wanted to comment before the baby wakes up again.

Going back to read more! :thumbsup2

Moving on to Liberty Square we browsed the shops. I wonder what a guest in my home would think should they use these coasters and had no clue they were Disney HM inspired?

DSCN6950.jpg

About those coasters...I have them and I use them daily. I also bought the three pack of headstones and they've been out since October.

I remember buying them and asking my mom if she thought it would be strange if I left them up year round and she said no. So the coasters are being used, their coffin box is being displayed on our large bookcase, and the headstones are atop the bookcases as well.

You're right, house guests who have never had the HM experience may not know what the deal is with them but I love them so much :goodvibes

I loved this whole update :lovestruc

How cool that you were able to get a sneak peek at the book from the author himself! :thumbsup2

Your morning, so far, sounds very nice. It's great when you take your time and aren't running from attraction to attraction.

I discovered the Tangled bathrooms last month. They are fantastic! You feel a little crazy taking pictures of a restroom spot, but how can you not with theming like that?

Your character interactions must have been hilarious. The stepsisters probably loved having a teenager to talk to. :lmao:

Your time with Dean and his wife sounds just lovely. I'll have to look into getting that book! I am always on the lookout for a good Disney read. :thumbsup2 To think of all the people he has met and all of the families he has given such a special memory to is really just incredible.

I always feel like face character meets will be awkward, but they are SO good at what they do and always make the meets feel very casual and smooth. So sweet that the stepsisters were able to get Em into it!

Love the new update. I agree with Phil's comment how walking down main street is like a reunion for you. :)

I am going to get Dean's book, thanks for the Link. I am sure that it will be one of those feel good books and I love to read stories of how much more magical a families day can be with an extra dose of Pixie Dust.

I love your one person wave!! It's so awesome that you have so much fun while you are at Disney. :goodvibes

Lady Tremaine and the step sisters are SO much fun. They are such great characters to interact with. Glad that Em joined in on the fun.

Looking forward to the next update. :)

I definitely will pick up the book! Looks like something I would LOVE! :thumbsup2

I also love the sense of humor you and your daughter have together Brenda. Your silly pictures are just really fun.

I'm definitely going to have to pick up that book after i'm done with 'Walt Disney: An American Original." What used to take me about a week to read a book, is now 2 months :lmao: Didn't know having a baby could do that to you :lmao:

Oooh sooooo excited to read about the suite!!!:cool1: :hyper:

Just found your trip report. Haven't had time yet to read it all, but I'm loving what I've read so far and can't wait to see the next update in the Castle.

I'm disappointed that the Mayor did not go for the reach around with Dean! :lmao:

Great one person wave!!

I need to get those Haunted Mansion coasters! Especially the one about brother Dave ;)

Augh! The suspense! I thought that with my long absence from reading your TR that you'd be past the part about the suite tour. So close! I suppose I can be patient a little longer. ;)
Oh, and I love your pictures of Epcot at night. It is so beautiful then.

Fun times in the park.
The reference to the sisters made me laugh.
