Snack Credits - Best Bang for your buck?

I remember seeing either a blog entry or a thread here on the DisBoards about which snacks get you the most bang for your buck.

We're doing the DDP for the first time on our next trip so I wanted to educate myself more on which snacks (besides the basic stuff) count for a snack credit and where would we find the best bang for our buck?

That said, I know my kids will probably use their credits for pretzels or ice cream, but DH and I might want to venture out a little bit this time and try a few new things!

TIA!

Les Halles has some amazing choices (we loved the bacon cheese bread), ice cream sundaes at the Plaza, carrot cake cookie at The Writer's Stop.

The ice cream cookie sandwich at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments at MK or at Hollywood Scoops at HS. This thing is HUGE! I didn't believe everyone when they said it was massive until I got one myself! Wow - don't know how one person could finish this!

I would say Kaki Gori (sp?) definitely... We split it into two cups when we got it and it was more than enough for all 4 members of my family. Everything at Karamel Kuche (sp?) is delicious also especially the dark chocolate with caramel topped with sea salt and the caramel popcorn. I hope this helps! Have fun!

Ooooh fun! I'm going to suggest this to my boys and maybe get them to also try something new! :)

Thank you both for your responses! I love hearing stuff like this.... keep 'em coming! :cool1:

Dizneydaz has posted a great resource for confirmed snacks that can be used on the DDP. I would link you to the post but I do not know how.
I know you can look up post started by Dizneydaz and find it from there.
It is a very extensive list for each park location.

A box of chicken fried rice at the Yak and Yeti takeout window. It's huge, delicious and counts as a snack! :goodvibes

The link is in my siggy below. Thanks for the plug!

BTW, I am heading for WDW in just 4 days and I will be updating the list, even though for the first time in 8 years we will NOT be using a DDP. :scared: so no free meals for us!

Just be careful to not "save" your snack credits for bigger & better and then end up not using them. Not that I speak from experience or anything...

Awesome!

I hope you have a great trip. pixiedust:

I hope more people add their thoughts or ideas to this thread, too! I'm really excited about having snack credits now. LOL

I always make sure to get chocolate covered strawberries from the Main Street Confectionary :thumbsup2
