YES, touring Cinderella’s Dream Suite was Amazing!+14 Other Magical Days* Dismeet & Wrap

Looks like I am a few updates behind in my comments!

I have not been in the Animation Building since shortly after MGM opened and they had the animation tour. We don't really do character greets, and the boys are never interested in drawing.

Looks like you had a fun time, though!

Love the pictures of Em coloring. Why is this woman giving her the evil eye? Is it because Em's coloring is better than hers? Or did she want to color Snow White?

DSCN5684.jpg

That is great that Em picked out a pressed penny souvenir instead of the dinglehopper- you have raised a smart, sensible shopper!

Your timeout at the Writers Stop sounded lovely. A great chance to sit back, relax and enjoy each others' company.

Too bad the threatening rain forced you out of the park.

*********************************************************

Mmmmmmmmm! Dinner at Monsieur Paul looks AMAZING!

The restaurant is gorgeous! The bread service is interesting.

Both of you made fantastic dining choices- the salad, the artfully presented snapper and the beautiful filet.

I am a chocolate and passion fruit lover, so I totally applaud Em's choice of dessert. And I'm glad you had a little sampling of the meringue dessert.

OK, now I want to go to Chef Paul's just to tell Phillipe that Brenda and Emmy sent me!

Lovely pictures of your stroll through an empty park back to the YC.

*******************************************************

Bummer about yet another early morning wake up call! And sorry you weren't feeling well. Hopefully once you were up and moving you started feeling better.

:woohoo: for working Magic Bands and a FP reservation for Soarin'!

And Living with the Land- I really love that attraction, but I think I would be embarrassed if I ever went back and counted how many pictures I have of hydroponic lettuce. Every.Single.Trip!

I'm glad you were able to slip in a ride at Norway before lunch. I believe the times for the dining reservations are just "guidelines" or at least that is what we told ourselves when were late for La Hacienda because that pesky Spaceship Earth was in our path.

Mark and I have been to Teppan Edo several times together, and with my parents, and once with the boys and friends of ours on our first family trip, but we haven't been back since 2004. It is such a fun place!

I LOVE the pictures you took of the cooking table.

Cute comment from the chef about the ginger. :lmao:

:yay: for another surprise meet-up with Kathy and Mark. I'm trying to remember- except for YSH, did all of your chance meet-ups happen in EPCOT?

The pictures with Alice and Mary are really cute and I like that you and the two girls were able to help each other out with photos of the encounters.

I'm excited to read about your meet-up with Dean! His book looks really interesting!

.

We were there at the same time - our dates overlapped. :)

As far as I know the kid's chicken meal is just the drum stick and thigh portions but the same as the adults recipe. I've never ordered the adult chicken meal so I had to ask Em for her input. It really was awesome!

My list of things on my must do list is getting crossed off slowly. I must have waited until later in the trip to get them completed! :) I have so many things still to do.

Oh my gosh! A baby rhino? How adorable would that be? Stupid question but are they born with a horn? That would hurt I'd think. :confused3 Spoiler alert but I still have things not crossed off my list... 15 days apparently wasn't enough! :rotfl2: Glad I could give you that idea.

The baby rhino was adorable... I had to Google to see if they were born with a horn or not. Apparently not, but the one I saw was starting to grow a bump already.

I'm not sure how old he/she was, but it was its first day on the Safari.

And I don't know how many times I have been standing in Epcot in rain! It's so hard to run from country to country in the rain!

Great update ... if a bit wet. ;)

Glad you enjoyed Reopen Edo. We never really consider eating there as we have a great Hibachi place right in town but it seems to get consistently good reviews. In addition to they typical "tricks" ours also does this bit where they will shoot sake into a guests mouth for as long as they can handle it. My college training comes in handy there!

Looking forward to the next update, princess

Ugh look at that rain. My God I was so happy not to see any this trip AT ALL!!

Bahahaha!!!! Maelstrom will get you SOAKED!!!! Wow it must have been POURING to be Maelstrom level wetness! :lmao:

And yes Brenda, I did indeed read the related DR portion!! Funny that I was thinking it seems to always rain when you go here. I think you were scheduled there on my departure date, so I'm curious now if there was any rain at all.

Haha I love that you all keep running into each other. It's like a game.

Hmmm, I don't remember Em's camera being quite that big like the one she had there in France.

But... Gosh Brenda... You've always been a princess to me! princess:

Oooof that's a lot of rain!

Glad Teppan Edo didn't disappoint!! We just decided to go back for our July trip.

Great photos with Alice and Mary!

I would say that you're the queen and Em is the princess! Regardless, it's good to know that Disney recognizes royalty.

Those Donald photos crack me up! You guys are all just so cute!

We had a really rainy day in Epcot too but it cleared up pretty fast! With your foreshadowing I'm assuming you got pretty wet!!

Enjoyed the update!! Funny how the 4 of you kept running into one another. And I, knowing you were there when we were, never managed to spot you once. :confused3 Guess we were never in the same park at the same time.

I never managed to bump into Jess either. And I know we were in the same parks some days. And at resorts at the same time. Guess that would be my powers of observation at their worst.

She did look pretty content to hand with the littles and share the crayons. I believe the Animation class is on your to do list?? (Thanks for the recipe by the way! I'm glad it is turning cold since it will be a perfect recipe for winter.)

Animation class is most definitely on my to do list!!! Can't wait!! And you're very welcome! Hope you enjoy it. It's a favorite here!

Oh, that poor pathetic squirrel. That's exactly how I feel in the heat!

Hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas!!!! :santa:

Katmark AGAIN? She is EVERYWHERE! :rotfl:

Adorable picture of the two of you with Mary Poppins. I love MP -she is my favorite character. She is always so perfect.

I did not know that TE does not take TIW. Lovely lunch.

Yes - it is kind of odd when people call me princess, but, hey, only in Disney! ::yes::

Merry Christmas Brenda! I hope you had a great time with your family!

Oh dear, those are some big rain drops! Glad you were able to duck out of the worst of it.
Hehehe too funny that you kept running into Kathy and Mark. I think it's great that you have a photo to commemorate each meet up!
The pics with Alice and Mary are adorable, nice that you ladies and the girls in front of you were able to get photos for each other. :thumbsup2
Oh man, sluggish from the heat sounds nice right about now... (as I look out the window to the 3 feet of snow we've accumulated...) :rotfl:

I feel like our entire trip was rain... For that matter, every time we step foot into WS, it rains. LOL I must know all of the good dry spots by now. Glad the both of you stayed dry!

Lunch looks fabulous! Another place to add to my list of places to try.

Loved your photo with Alice - too cute!

And that is exactly why I continue to go back to Disney... I love being a princess. <3

D~

It definitely was with rain every afternoon and then some. You are likely familiar with all of the WS pavilions!

We are big Japanese food fans so it works for us. Plus the food is always great so that's another plus.

Thanks! Mary is always so proper so it's fun to mess with her in the heat and ask her why she doesn't put on some shorts and flip flops and be comfortable?? ;)

And you are a very lovely princess! :lovestruc

Love the pictures of Em coloring. Why is this woman giving her the evil eye? Is it because Em's coloring is better than hers? Or did she want to color Snow White?

My boys would NEVER have done any of the character stuff either. Em is ok with them most of the time but not my DH.

Ha ha! I didn't notice the glare for that gal at the drawing table.

Definitely a wiser choice to save the $14.49 and have a penny that she'll never use than spending $15 for a plastic brush that she'll never use. But what do I know, I spend $30 on a photo package from 'Ohana that I don't look at again. :confused3

Mmmmmmmmm! Dinner at Monsieur Paul looks AMAZING!

The restaurant is gorgeous! The bread service is interesting.

Lovely pictures of your stroll through an empty park back to the YC.

I went from being skeptical of Monsieur Paul to really being a fan. I need to return next year and show it off to my DH. He is curious about this Philippe dude that he's seen on my FB during our trip. :rotfl2:

That meringue dessert was awesome!

Bummer about yet another early morning wake up call! And sorry you weren't feeling well. Hopefully once you were up and moving you started feeling better.

I'm thinking that the late nights and early mornings and all that food was not a great combo. Apparently I was well enough to eat breakfast so it didn't last long..

:woohoo: for working Magic Bands and a FP reservation for Soarin'!

And Living with the Land- I really love that attraction, but I think I would be embarrassed if I ever went back and counted how many pictures I have of hydroponic lettuce. Every.Single.Trip!

Isn't that the truth! I could lead a tour through the geo-dome thingy since I've practically memorized all manner of fruits, veggies, and other species that they grow.

I'm glad you were able to slip in a ride at Norway before lunch. I believe the times for the dining reservations are just "guidelines" or at least that is what we told ourselves when were late for La Hacienda because that pesky Spaceship Earth was in our path.

Cute comment from the chef about the ginger. :lmao:
:rotfl2: "guidelines" I seriously have almost made reference to your side trip to SE before your La Hacienda lunch several times. It's just so funny. I may still make a note of that yet.

:yay: for another surprise meet-up with Kathy and Mark. I'm trying to remember- except for YSH, did all of your chance meet-ups happen in EPCOT?
Uhhhh let's see... France/Morocco = Epcot, Mexico=Epcot... why I do believe you are correct.

The pictures with Alice and Mary are really cute and I like that you and the two girls were able to help each other out with photos of the encounters.

Those were sweet girls willing to help out.

I'm excited to read about your meet-up with Dean! His book looks really interesting!

Coming up very soon.... I'm one post away from part 1 of that day... His book is really such a great representation of all that I think is Magical and special about Disney.

Thanks for hanging in there as this drags on. :)

I'm going to go look at my safari photos and see if I missed seeing that adorable baby. Not sure how big she would have been when we went but that is awesome! Thanks for sharing those photos! :)

Epcot and rain just seem to go together for some reason.

Hi Phil! Yes, only slightly damp.

I think until we get completely tired of their food or they tell me they don't want me there any longer we'll keep coming back.

Goodness! sake blasts - good to know your college experience wasn't just hitting the books and lecture halls! ;) That's a new twist on table-side entertainment. That'd be worth going there to watch that.

Ha ha!! Even my husband asks which country my dad was king over since I've been accused of being a princess outside of WDW. princess:

Ugh look at that rain. My God I was so happy not to see any this trip AT ALL!!

Bahahaha!!!! Maelstrom will get you SOAKED!!!! Wow it must have been POURING to be Maelstrom level wetness! :lmao:

But... Gosh Brenda... You've always been a princess to me! princess:

Wasn't it great to not have rain gear with you every day in December. It only rained one day on our trip - the last night we were there on the 14th. Of course when we were completely unprepared while we were viewing Osborne Lights. :)

Malestrom, the wettest ride in Norway, yah yah! Actually I think of your TR when I see that so it is only fitting that you get that.

And yes, I believe we had the CP package with Teppan Edo the day you left - no rain that day. Whew!

Ha ha that camera in France is really hard to carry around your neck. We just leave it there so other people can enjoy it. We're nice like that. :rotfl:

Ahhh a DAWMickey reference. Very nice!!

Sure was! You should have seen the scooter that was parked right where the rain was draining off the roof. It was soaked!

Yay! A summer trip with Teppan Edo. Sounds nice.

Thanks! Alice and Mary were adorable.

Ha ha!! That's awesome coming from a Disney celebrity who was an honorary stuntwoman at DHS for Indy! :thumbsup2

Those Donald photos crack me up! You guys are all just so cute!

We had a really rainy day in Epcot too but it cleared up pretty fast! With your foreshadowing I'm assuming you got pretty wet!!

Hi Maddie! Donald is a funny duck for sure. Glad that he played along.

We were actually smart this time and headed to lunch early enough that we could wait it out... although we were a bit damp. So we didn't completely avoid it but it could have been worse. :)

Hi Linda! Thanks! It was great to have our KatMark radar working since it was definitely exciting each time we saw them.

Isn't that funny how when you are looking for someone you WON'T find them but then forget about it and your stumble into them. I practically ran into a Diser one time since I wasn't paying attention and was so glad that she was looking up while walking or we would have walked right by each other. :)

One of my Dis pals on this last trip ran into Jess in Epcot.

:santa:

I'll have to check back with you to see how that Animation class went. Please do share your artwork! ::yes::

I agree! It wouldn't be so bad if the squirrel didn't have that coat of hair but goodness.

Thank you so much Linda. Christmas was wonderful since all of my kids were home for the holidays! I hope you enjoyed yours as well.

Yes - it is kind of odd when people call me princess, but, hey, only in Disney! ::yes::

Hi Mary Ellen! Loved your exciting Christmas gift. Since you are so musically talented that was perfect. I hope you and your family had a fabulous Christmas!!

I was glad that Kathy was on the same park touring plan as us - without us knowing!! ;)

That Mary is always so proper and practically perfect as she says in the movie. I want to sing a spoonful of sugar with her some day I think that would be a great moment.

The good news is that we were still able to get a 10% AP discount but no TiW at Teppan Edo. HOWEVER - Tokyo Dining does accept TiW. Odd but true.

Can you imagine if anyone called you princess outside Disney?? You're right.. only in Disney.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Thank you Wendy!! I saw your adorable fur baby Christmas photos so that made me smile! We had a wonderful time with family - especially the kids that live far away who were in town.

We definitely dodged that rainstorm for the most part. I'm not above running to get out of the rain... even if I don't look dignified.

Poor Mark, he was our official photographer for our Kathy meet ups. I should have tipped him. :)

I saw your Christmas photos and the snow looks lovely. I'm on the other side of that weather equation since it was sunny and 77 degrees on Christmas. I'd love some winter weather but for us that would be 60 degrees. Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!

Looks like a pretty good Epcot day minus the rain!! Lots of it, eek!! Teppan Edo was on my list of places for Sept but we changed it when we had a severe shellfish allergy travelling with us, she later ended up cancelling, but we'd already booked Via Napoli instead, which was just as good lol!

Teppan Edo is on my future list of places to try though!! Glad you guys enjoyed it yet again!

Hi Katt!! You'll just have to book a 135th trip this year and add in Teppan Edo!! :rotfl2: Don't you leave soon again? I don't see it in your ticker but then again I don't think they make the signature section big enough to accommodate all of your future planned trips!! How incredibly awesome! :)

Via Napoli is definitely a great place as well. Those adorable Italian waiters are not too bad either. ;)

Teppan Edo is always so yummy. I've never had a bad meal there. We actually had a female chef last time, which was cool. She was the first one at the (*ahem* many) hibachi restaurants I've eaten at.

Listen, you run into a DISer, you take a picture right? That's the rule. :goodvibes

I can't believe how many times you've bumped into Kat, what a coincidence you've been in the same places :goodvibes

Hi Brenda
Great updates!
We haven't been to Teppan Edo for years and we really must get back there!
Lovely that you bumped into Kathy again :)

WOW!! I just found your TR last night and well I spent all day today reading it :wave2:
Now I can't wait for you to start your December TR! :cool1:
