Day 4 - Part 4 -The force is strong with this one!

After we rolled Rob out of PT, we made our way to Beauty & the Beast, which Kira loved!

After the show, we ran over to the Animation building to see Frozone and Mr. Incredible. They were only there a few times during the day.

Kira had fun with both of these guys but she was secretly hoping to meet Violet, her favourite

We had a FP+ for Star Tours for 1:30, and it was that time so we headed in that direction. Kira said she wanted to take our backpack...

I hadn't seen the new version of Star Tours yet and this was Kira's first time on the ride as the last trip, she was just a smidge too short. Rob is a huge Star Wars geek so he was thrilled to finally share it with his daughter

I wasn't sure if she would like it, it was kinda bumpy and you just never know with chicken girl

Turns out she loved it!

Rob and Kira went a second time since there was no line while I waited in the shade near Muppets. She came out with another stuffy

Every time I leave those two alone, she gets another stuffy!

After our tour of Muppet Studios, we headed out towards the Streets of America.

We just strolled around...walking...and walking....

Rob and Kira just blindly following me

It took about 7-8 minutes for one of them to ask me what we were doing

I love my family! I would never just blindly follow anyone around

Nope, too much of a control freak for that! But I sure love that it doesn't bother them

I would be like, where are we going? What are we doing next? Why are we going this way? I don't want to see any more damn characters!!!

Day 4 - Part 5 - We hit the MOTHERLOAD!!!

Just as I was telling Rob what we were doing here exactly, it had begun!

It's called Characterpalooza! Disney does not advertise it but Disney freaks like me who read Disney blogs like the morning newspaper, know all about it! It's relatively new and a great way to meet a whole shwack load of characters all at once. The characters change and you never know who you will see but I was excited for Kira even though I hit my character limit..oh...back on Animal Kingdom day

One after the other, with almost zero waiting, Kira got to meet all the characters in about 15 minutes! We totally hit the jackpot because there were several rare characters here!

And then finally...

STITCH!!!

As soon as she went up to him, he kinda ran away from her. Kira didn't know what was going on but she kinda followed him. I think they were wrapping up the palooza and they started playing really loud, fast music. Stitch went over to the garbage can and started drumming on it.

Then he motioned for her to join in, which, of course, she did!

They drummed (is that even a word?) for a few minutes, it was so cute! Then he gave her the biggest and longest hug evah!

And then we left...

without telling Stitch about her doggies...

again!



Oh well, tune in because we just *might* meet up with him again somewhere

After that awesome little gathering, it was time for something slow and in da shade!

Oh look, we are passing the Great Movie Ride. Perfect! Kira wanted to know what the Great Movie Ride was about so I told her and she was okay with it.

Until we got to the scene after the Indiana Jones thing, with the skeletons hanging on the wall.



She was just fine with the big gangster shoot out scene!

She was just fine with the whole Alien part.

The skeletons?

Not so much!

As we were getting off the ride and rounding the corner just outside of the building, she yells, at the top of her lungs:

"That was not a GREAT movie ride!!!"



We tried to explain to her that it was called the GREAT movie ride but just kept arguing with us that it was NOT great and that we should stop calling it a great ride

Okay I never noticed that Mike had long finger nails until now. Kinda of creepy. I'm loving your trip report and the characters. My kids have out grown them so our last trip we did one character meal and that was it. So fun living through Kira and her love of characters.

I LOVED seeing about the character explosion (lol... forgot the technical term...) that you knew about at Hollywood Studios (MGM - I feel the same!) Where do you go to check into this? I might be a blog newbie... haven't heard of that yet.

LOVED seeing the yummy food at the Norway Princess breakfast! That might just be how we see the princesses on our Spring Break trip... I have a feeling the lines for character interactions might a bit long for that trip

One day we'll have to get to Prime Time. It sounds like a ton of fun! That meatloaf looked pretty good though. Did it take almost an hour to get like mine did on the Fantasy?

We've been to Prime Time every single trip since 1999 too! And always ask for Cousin Mark, I think I know Mikey, he's a hoot. And I always order corn with my chicken, right there with ya Rob. Excellent day with all those characters, so well done!!

We had Mark in 2005! He was the BEST! I saw him that day, he was still there, he must love his job

Yeah, the food looked good, which is why I wanted to try it because I've seen it in a million trip reports! The chicken was very dry though. But Rob's chicken was moist and he loved it!

Hi! I will go ahead and admit that I am a bit of a lurker on the disboards, but I have started to post more lately. I think it is because my trip is coming up in less than a month! Anyway, your trip report is awesome so far! Kira is around the same age as my nieces and seems to like the same things they do! I love all of the character meets that yall got to see during characterpalooza. I have always heard about it but I never know what time they are supposed to come out! And, I will always call DHS MGM too! Anyway, can't wait to read more!

Day 4 Part 6 - Dropping butterflies

After the whole Great Movie Ride debacle, we decided it was time to take a break!

Kira and her Daddy shared some popcorn while we sat in the shade.

Then we did something that was more Kira's style...

It's a cute show but once every ten years is good for me

Since we were right there, we popped into the line for Sofia the First. I went and grabbed a little treat for us to share. Unbelievably, it was our only sandwich during the entire trip!

These are Photopass pics as my camera was doing something weird and wouldn't let me take pics!

Next up was our FP on Toy Story

Once again, I creamed everyone

By then, Rob and I could barely move our arms We both said, that's enough Toy Story for one day

It was time for supper. We weren't extremely hungry so we just grabbed some chicken strips...well, Rob grabbed them while I headed over to Tower of Terror to see if I can get a regular FP with my room card, which I could

While they finished up, I headed over to ride my fave ride!

It was totally awesome, as usual

It would have been so much more fun if I could enjoy it with my whole family but there is no way Kira was going to ride this! Remember, she hates butterflies and this ride is ALL butterflies

While I was dropping butterflies, my family were getting these...

I will review these in the next chapter

I met up with them in the TOT store and then we swapped and Rob went on the ride.

I can't wait to hear about the ears!! I have heard different opinions so I am curious about how the three of you felt!

There were kids everywhere and while they are entitled to have their own fun, that kind of potty mouth was simply not acceptable! Rob asked them again to quit it with the swearing reminding him that the area was full of little kids. This guy was just a complete jerk and just got louder and more offensive. At this point, I had just turned back around away from them, cuddling Kira in my lap and covering her ears with my hands.

I told Rob to just leave it alone as these idiots obviously didn't care about how their actions affected those around them.

And he did.

Leave them alone.

Until he smelled smoke.



For those of you who haven't read my previous trip reports, let me explain to you something about my husband...

He is not a big guy, 5'7" and doesn't look the least bit intimidating but he will stand up to anyone for what he believes in.

If sees someone, anyone being picked on, he will step in and say something.

And when it comes to his family, well, you can guess what he's like.

When we are at WDW, I call him the smoking police

When he sees someone smoking in a NON smoking area, he always stops. At first he is very polite and reminds them that this is a non-smoking area. Then he will even point them in the direction of a smoking section or if they are really stubborn, he will find the nearest cast member and tell them about the situation. Unfortunately, most CM's won't do anything about it but he always tries! He hates seeing people smoke near kids.

He is allergic to smoke as is Kira. And ever since my bout with Lupus pneumonia, I am extremely sensitive to it and if I am close enough, I start having trouble breathing. Normally I just move, no big deal but I couldn't exactly move this time.

So you can probably guess what was about to happen, as he spun around and that one guy had a cigarette in his hand

I think because of the whole swearing situation, Rob skipped the polite part altogether and went straight for the "If you don't put that out now, I will get security!" part!

This guy was such a butthead and after blowing smoke directly towards us, Rob kinda lost it.

I have never seen Rob so mad in 17 years! It was escalating and I didn't like where it was leading to. He was about to go get security but I talked him out of it. I reminded him that the show was about to start in 5 minutes and that if he left he would miss out on the joy of watching his favourite show with Kira.

That kinda of snapped him out of it.

I said (very loudly) that these people are determined to be jerks and that we shouldn't let them ruin our night. I said let's just turn around and enjoy the show together and pretend they didn't exist.

And so we did.

The guy in question is the one on the far left who had a few tattoos on him. The part Cass missed was that when he walked off with his cigarette to put it out on the cement instead of the garbage, he was even more foul mouth than before.
To top it off, as we walked back towards our respective groups, he challenged me to a fight! I'm bewildered at this statement and I'm about to lose it, seriously, I haven't wanted to throttle someone so bad since I was a teenager.
Then, it was like you are so not worth it and you're so intoxicated even if you were a UFC person you'd lose because you don't have any sense about you.

Then I think, well there would go the vacation, then banned from the USA.
I tell the guy he wouldn't stand a chance and walk away but then he goes "you have no right to be here anyways, you're not even from our country".
Yup, Thank You Lord for granting me patience.
I can't imagine what it would be like to get into a fight in a place like WDW and I don't ever want people like that around my family ever again.

It's a shame there isn't a better way to get Security to take out the trash sometimes.

It's a good thing you didn't Rob! Nate's friend is banned from the States because he got into a fight at a hockey game after some goofballs knocked out his dad. His dad ended up in hospital with a brain swell and he ended up in jail over night! That was about 15 years ago now. That was a crazy story. It's not uncommon for fights to happen at games but Epcot... that would have been an even crazier story!
