MCO AIRPORT Hotel overnight stay

Going to try this next month for the first time. Is it Disney that picks up your luggage from your room and takes it to the port? My goal is to get to the port as early as possible. Don't want to miss a moment!

The Hyatt baggage people pick up your bags and deliver them to the DCL transfer people. Then it goes to the port by DCL transport (probably on a truck).

It was amazing. If you are travelling with kids it's nice not to have to lug the bags around too. We were on the first bis out of the airport and were one of the first groups on the ship (I don't think anyone else was on the pool deck before us).

Did anyone have any luck getting a room for 5 (2a, 3k) for a decent rate at the Hyatt MCO? When I called, I was told I would have to get 2 rooms. Curious if this is the way it is, or if I just got an uninformed Reservation Specialist

We actually did have a problem with noise there but it was not airplanes, it was a cherry picker setting up the massive Christmas tree in the airport atrium. This was the Friday night before Thanksgiving week 2005 and our room was on about the 7th floor I think. It was sooooo loud all night long, we got no sleep at all. We just walked by that tree a few weeks ago and laughed/grumbled again.

On the plus side, we didn't notice a single jet plane that I recall. :)

It is a truck that takes the luggage from the DCL operation at MCO to the Port terminal

But that does not mean that if you catch the first or second bus that your luggage will arrive on the ship early, or make it to your room early.

We caught the very first bus, but our luggage didn't get to our room until nearly 4:30 PM.

we are a family of 5 (2a, 3k) and when i searched for a room on their website they listed 2 rooms that would accommodate us.

A standard room has two double beds, so can only safely accommodate 4. They will give you a discount if you get two adjoining room.

We stayed at Hyatt MCO and loved it, used Disney transfers etc...

For my upcoming Feb 2014 Magic cruise I used lmt club which I read about on disboards or the other cruise boards. I got the room for $117. I called the Hyatt to make sure they have my reservation and they confirmed my room is reserved.

Love it there, so convenient. Make sure to have breakfast at the restaurant on the top floor, not the one off the lobby. Nice all inclusive brunch and a great view of the planes taking off and landing.

We were told the same thing about needing 2 rooms to accomodate 3a 2k for a day room. However when we checked in, they let us just get 1 room which we really appreciated.

How big are your kids? When I called they asked, and when I told them, they said, just book it for 2a, 2k. That's what we did and I made sure when we checked in it was fine and they said "as long as the kids don't mind sharing a bed." They are doubles not queens. We found it a bit tight and my kids were young. They slept across the bed instead of the correct way and that gave them. Ore space.

How do you sleep 3 a 2 kids? That seems tight to me.

I think I could have gotten an adjoining at 50% off the second room. Not sure if that's the right number, though.

Our flight home does not depart until 6:30 pm. Has anyone booked a day rate? Any idea of the cost? I just ran the numbers on the Hyatt site and it looks to be around $200. Does this sound accurate or has anyone found a discount code for a day rate?
