Get Off The Ship - we are running out of towel animals! Update 10/25 Day 31

That Does seem mean that someone stole it-probably kids. Think I will make a magnet that says please be respectful and do not remove things from our door, as hopefully a deterrant! I leave in 25 days! Yay!

Wow, what a great thread and an awesome TR!!! I love all the pictures! Glad you had a great vacation, even though it got off to a rocky start.

All caught up! And I am full just reading it. So many many yummies I can't even count. Sorry about your Cabanas steak though. How fun to see former tablemates, I love that and the Commodores Meet and Greet looks lovely! Jeff and I need to do that next time for sure, he would love it.

I am mad about your magnet though!

Thanks for all the comments - I will answer them as soon as I can - it's a bit hectic at the moment - exams, exams, exams. ;)

But ......

I thought I'd share with you, that today is another

In exactly 101 days from today we will already be on our way to Orlando to spend the night at the Grand Floridian Villas before our annual February cruise to the Bahamas! :beach:

Oh, and only 58 more days until our short trip to Disneyland Paris! pixiedust:

We have never had dinner at Cabana's, we always eat breakfast there. We tried Enchanted Garden for breakfast for the first time after the suggestion of our dinner server. It was nice for a change. This cruise we had great table mates again and everyone enjoyed talking and eating together each evening. Disney has done a great job of picking the right table for us. I am so sorry someone took your Stitch Magnet, we had one on our door that Tom made that you gave us last year. It helped us find our room quickly. : )

Hello! I've just spent the afternoon reading all of your report so far and enjoying all of it! Can't wait to hear more! 2 weeks sounds like a GREAT way to cruise to me!!!!:rolleyes1

I can not even begin to say how disappointed I am reading about the Muesli! I have been looking forward to an icy cold bowl of that since March when I had it on the dream! BOO!

Everything else did look very good, though- especially the brunch at remy! We did decide to do dinner this time, but in the future I will do the brunch most definitely!:thumbsup2

Isn't the show in Animator's really different than on the Dream? :confused3 With everyone's drawings animated? Well, I guess I will find out for sure in 2 months, huh! :goodvibes

Looking forward to reading more, of course! :hyper:

I have never tried cabanas dinner either. Maybe after I get a few more under my belt I'll give that a try. So is the menu a mix of the other dining rooms?

Hi Karin! I haven't been feeling well this week and have gotten kind of behind on my DIS'ing. But I'm catching up tonight!

LOVED reading about your Remy brunch. Wasn't that sea bass incredible???? I wish I was eating it right now. :lovestruc

I love that you know so many crew members - how fun that must be.

What a shame about your magnet. :(

This food is making me hungry and right now I have chest/gas pains and still want it all. LOL
I easily got caught up.

I am sorry I have neglected this thread for nearly a week, but it has been a busy one.

It started out with me being pretty clumsy and burning my arm.

While making some tea, I put the teapot in the sink as to NOT burn myself should it accidentially tip over. So I poured the boiling water into the pot, and while I was putting the kettle back, I tipped over a cup that was standing at the side. I reached over, tipped the spout of the pot in the sink and poured myself with the hot water.
I spent the next four hours showering my arm with attention and cool water. :rotfl2: I must have done a good job as I don't have any blisters but a nice red mark from the elbow to my hand.
Now that happened last Saturday. I did not do a lot of typing over the weekend, then updated my trip report and that was it.
To add in to a busy week came the fact that my co-teacher and friend started her maternity leave on Thursday and I needed to get the present my pupils had made for her ready. Plus there was a large exam last Thursday and in the afternoon of that day I had a huge migrane kick in, which resulted in me leaving early from school and another teacher having to take me home.
So I spent yesterday doing some shopping and marking exams. I am proud to add that they ALL passed! :woohoo:

Okay, so no on to answering your comments an then a new update! :goodvibes

The DIS was down (as every morning - my time), so I checked in on My Disney Experience and guess what .........

I was able to costumize our magic bands for February! :woohoo:

We didn't get any for our summer stay last year, but will get two sets :confused3 for our February stay (1 night pre cruise at VGF and 2 nights post cruise at OKW) I am sooooooooooo excited! :goodvibes :lmao:

Tom picked blue and green bands for himself and mine will be red and orange. Can't wait to wear them!

OH, and by the way ........

only 97 more days until our February trip - so it is time for the

We've never been to Cabanas for dinner....looks like a really nice option if you want to skip the MDR.

How sad that someone took your magnet. It always bothers me when I hear about things like that happening. Our magnets are pretty sentimental at this point, having been on three cruises with us so far. It's a shame that there are people out there who are so thoughtless.

Cabanas definitely is nice option if you do not want to dine in the MDR. As much as we like the MDRs, AP gets so loud with the Crush show that we will gladly miss it if there is a chance to.
So, this is how Cabanas came into play for us. They offer a mix of the cruise favourite dishes, plus throw in a steak or two.
It is very nice and quiet, the view is gorgeous and the service always wonderful.

In 2012 we had about EVERYTHING stolen from our door, so nowadays we come prepared and bring at least a second of every magnet. I was prepared to lose one or two of them, but to lose the personalized magnet above the door number was quite a surprise for us.
Oh, and we do have a magnet that says "please don't take anything" but I don't want to put it on as I do not want to give someone an idea. :rotfl2:

And the food!! YUM! Castaway Cay for me is enough to really want to try....hmmmmmm:rolleyes:

Be careful ........ once you try cruising with DCL you might be hooked! We were!!!!!!!!
We are taking cruise no 12 in February and we only started cruising in Aug of 2009! :rotfl:

Hi Karin! I'm finally all caught up again. :goodvibes It looks like two days of non-stop eating and drinking - you must be on a cruise! :lmao: I'm glad that most of your meals were delicious.
How fun to meet up with your old tablemates! Your story made me think of our first tablemates - I can't even remember their names, but I do remember their stories. :goodvibes
The Italian Liqueur tasting sounds interesting - is everything bitter? Well, I guess Amaretto isn't. :confused3 I know the Italian "coke" in Club Cool was horribly bitter. Thanks so much for writing!

Yeah, how nice that you got all caught up!

Looking at all the photos it does look like non stop eating, but I asure you there were hours in between meals. :rotfl2:

Not all Italian spirits are bitter - these were. They were after dinner liqueurs which CAN get quite bitter. :goodvibes

Aw that's so nice, thanks Karin :goodvibes I told DH that you guys did a Remy lunch and he got upset that we didn't do it during our cruise! I'll need to tell him tonight that they added it after our cruise :lmao:

What a nice dinner at Cabanas. Too bad about your steak.. It looks so juicy and delicious. But the sundae looks even better!

Aw man, sorry about your magnet. I was always worried about one of our magnets being stolen. However, it seemed that someone always put one on our door!

I really hope that you and DH will get a chance to try Remy lunch soon. I guess Calvin will soon be old enough to experience his first Disney cruise. ;)

The sundae was really good! And Tom's steak was delicious. I wasn't really hungry in the first place so I didn't mind about the tough steak much. :goodvibes

Lucky girl, getting extra magnets.
I have always been worried about some of the door decorations being stolen. We went on 8 cruises and NOTHING went missing, then on cruise no 9 there was a bunch of boys who stayed at Concierge who would not only steal our magnets, but everything that was put in the FE as well. I did confront them, but after a day or two, we just took the FE inside and took the decorations down. I did say very loudly that "there are the thieves again" every time we came across them and they RAN!!! :rotfl2:

It's nearly noon here, so I need to get myself ready to head to Tom's for lunch! I promise to do the rest of the comments lateron this afternoon and will update with our first port of call - St. Maarten! See ya all later! :goodvibes

Sorry about your arm, that looks painful!!Glad everyone passed !!:goodvibesThat's cuz they have a GREAT teacher !!:goodvibesMy trip is getting very close , I am still toying with another trip to use my AP, but am super nervous about taxes and am waiting for that bad news beforeplanning anything !!!
