~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

I LOVE all your bags but this one is incredible! I really love the gray tones with the pop of color inside! Amazing!

We always eat at the Brown Derby but hate that it's a 2 credit meal. We go for lunch ,get their wonderful Cobb salad, fancy dessert and water or a soft drink. We pay out of pocket, get the fun experience and don't use those precious credits!

Have a great weekend!

Steamboat Mickey is great. I love how all the fabrics "match" up even if they are different colors.

I think your list is a great place to start. Not sure how you are going to have 3 meals in HS (unless you spend 3 days there) but I'm sure you will figure it out. I almost did the Fantasmic dining package at the Brown Derby this year but the times available were for a late lunch and I was too cheap to spend the 2 dining credits on there. That being said we might have to go there next time to satisfy my DHs need for a change. The menu does look good.

My only concern would be using up my park time on travel to the different hotels to have a meal, especially since you are using Disney transportation. I have a feeling you could make it work since the park hours are extended in August. That being said I would think you could get to the monorail hotels fairly easily on your MK days (hopefully some of Suzi's monorail luck will rub off on you).

I know this trip will be tougher to figure out since it is a bit shorter then you normally do, but then it gives you a good excuse for a return trip. ;)

D~ I have to say that conceptually I always try to imagine what your bag (and wallet) will look like (with my limited creative mind of course) and then I actually see you amazing creation and I'm BLOWN AWAY! Your Steamboat Willie perfectly captures the character. Serious cuteness going on there! I feel like I'm a Dancing with the Stars judge holding up my 10 paddle here!!

As for your ADR choices. Nothing looks bad to me! I agree though another trip must be in order. Looks like you are not too into the Epcot restaurants. They are a mixed bag for me - some are a favorite and some I steer clear of just because they don't wow me with the food. I do love Kona for breakfast - that is my favorite but if I had to have a second favorite it would be Crystal Palace.

So, I finally made it over and I am behind. But did see the newest Mickey bag and love it, so creative!!!! Oh yes and I finally finished editing photopass photos from the summer. Only reason they are actually finished is because of the shutdown of the old site. I'm gonna have a hard time next year (hopefully) editing by 60 days. But maybe a deadline is good for me. And I'm always happy when they are finished. Can't wait to hear about all your plans. Maybe I can keep up better on the ptr.

I had to stop by and tell you how gorgeous MY bag is and how awesome it is to be able to say that. I was a little concerned that maybe you would only do a face for my bag but when I saw it this morning ship wheel and all, I instantly fell in love!!! You really did make my favorite character come to life. I also love how the ruffle on the outside is the bias on the inside.

Your ADRS look great but I'm afraid with that many you may only have time to eat. Lol.... How will you choose though? They are all so good!

Yah - I do love working there this time of year... The only thing I don't like about it - recently - is their extreme desire to make more $$ and open on Thansgiving Day... I do NOT like that at all.

I prefer to go to Target on Black Friday and I agree with you about them opening on Thanksgiving Day now. I'm not happy with that. Only way I'll go is if there is something I really want, otherwise I'll wait and go later.

Steamboat Willie turned out great!!! Love it!!

Good Morning D!

Oh how I love bag reveal days! I will be sure to check back in during my lunch.

School trips are EXPENSIVE aren't they None of my kiddos have one this school year but next year will be a biggie!

Have a great Friday!

Hi Tasha! I hope you had a good Friday too! Yah- school trips are very expensive! But V should have a good time. What is your big school trip next year?

OOH we get to see a new bag today YEAH.

I like your choices. We love the brown derby and have done both lunch and dinner. It is great because it is so quiet.

WE did the Plaza the last trip and it is nice.

We love Tusker House we do a late breakfast all the time.

Have a fabulous day I hope to get to play with my new toy today.

Thanks Chiara... I really would like to try the Plaza - we have never eaten there, and I have heard good things about it. Not sure I want to do B&D - I don't like that it's 2 credits, and I am not sure I want to pay OOP, especially when there are other places at DHS we'd like to go too. LOL

I don't have any non-negotiable restaurants, though I do have some favorites - Tony's Town Square - I know many people don't like it, but we've never had a bad meal there

Via Napoli in EPCOT was very good, and so was Nine Dragons, I also like Rose & Crown - and if you get there late enough you can sit and watch Illuminations.

Next trip (March) we are going only to EPCOT and I'm not sure if we are going to be able to get any dinner reservations, but I'd like to try Biergarten and Teppen Edo - though we have a Japanese steak house close to home.

When we go in September, Charlie wants to do Tusker House for breakfast again and also Cape May Café and Be Our Guest. Everything else is up to me.

It seems we always have too much trouble picking out restaurants in Epcot - if you'll remember this last trip, I changed our Epcot ADRs about once per month. LOL I just couldn't decide. First I had Chefs de France, then I had Biergarten, then Rose n' Crown and finally at the last minute, we did Akershus. :crazy2: It's just super hard to decide - there are so many to choose from, but nothing that sounds really appealing to us. :confused3

I spent last Saturday cleaning up my sewing room too. And I guarantee it was much worse than yours. Its not finished yet, but I did manage to put most "stuff" away and my sewing spaces are clear. I also found a place for my serger so I can actually get to it to use it. Its been sitting in a corner for a while now.

I don't know Tess, mine was pretty bad... That corner was piled with scraps almost over my head! :faint: And I had all of my machines lined up along that corner... I had V's machine there next to my cutting board, then my serger pushed into the corner, then the borrowed embroidery machine, finally Mr. Rocket... and piled all around it was my scraps. It was getting to be such a pain - especially when I was making my dress, because every time I needed to serge a seam, I had to flip Mr. R around and move him as far over as his cord would allow, then move the embroidery machine next to him, then pull the serger out of the corner, with barely enough space to work with it when I got it out. It was so horrible! So happy to have everything in there so nicely again. Now I need to get my fabric shelves... But first I have to get enough saved up for my new (to me) embroidery machine.

I started searching for a "new" machine and found some Rocketeers on ebay for about $200. Not going to spend that much, so I'll keep looking.

Off to the doctor's for another sinus infection visit....wish me luck.

Yah - I think $200 is a bit over priced for a Rocketeer... Don't get me wrong - I do like Mr. R a lot (most of the time... :crazy2:) but I would never pay that much for him. I paid $10 for my Mr. R at Goodwill.

Oh no! I sure hope the Dr. helped! Are you feeling better now?

I can't believe I've never gone back and read your sewing story before. Very inspiring! I don't know that I could every have the patience to learn something like that though.

I see you don't have too many restaurants for Epcot. My too favorites there are Coral Reef and Rose and Crown.

Thanks Ariana! Well, it was something I really wanted to learn - and if you ever meet Josh, he will tell you that I am quite determined if I set my mind to something.

I was thinking of Coral Reef too... I just keep thinking that it would be a lot like Rain Forest Cafe - just underwater themed. :confused3

I am completely blown away by the stories of how you started sewing, restoring your machine, and how far you've come in such a short time. Amazing!

It is good to know I definitely can do this if I ever decide to. I am so impressed D!

Thank you! I am glad you saw the links I posted, I almost forgot to post them yesterday. LOL. It's never too late to learn a new hobby (or anything else for that matter) - as long as you have the desire to learn. :thumbsup2 I hope you do take the time to learn - it's so much fun to create - and I firmly believe that having some sort of creative outlet in your life leads to having a life with meaning and fulfillment. :lovestruc

It looks like a very delicious list of restaurants. I think you will have to schedule another trip to get all that in.

Our one must-do restaurant has always been Cape May Cafe dinner buffet at the Beach Club. We will not go to WDW without eating dinner there. It just won't happen.

We have mostly eaten at counter service restaurants for years, decades in fact, and just started to eat at more table services. My DH never wanted to be tied down to any kind of a schedule. But I was getting extremely tired of burgers and fries, so I slowly started to add a few ADR's to our trip. It turned out that it was really nice to have something like an ADR to give our trip a little structure. So, in spite of traveling to WDW since 1973, we still have a lot of restaurants left to try. I really like having a nice sit down meal once a day. But it is so hard to just pick a few.

Yah - lol - that is a bit part of our issue... Every time we go, we have so many restaurants we want to eat at, we always end up doing some OOP... We love sit down meals at WDW, and I agree - we try to do one every day - it's just so nice to be able to sit down and eat. We did do Cape May on our March 2012 trip... Here's the link to what I wrote about it in my TR from that trip: Cape May dinner I am not sure if we will do it again - but if I were to ever do it, I should do it while BFF is with me, so she can crack my crab for me. :rotfl2:

Yes I've been stalking your thread all morning. popcorn::

Steamboat Willie is gorgeous! I love how the fabrics carry through the whole bag and how the bright inside contrasts with the grey exterior. You definitely have one of the best eye for details that I have every seen.

Thank you Ariana! It was such a fun bag to make!

Once again a great bag

Thank you Lillian... It's so nice having you back! I miss seeing you around when you are on all of your adventures!

I LOVE all your bags but this one is incredible! I really love the gray tones with the pop of color inside! Amazing!

Have a great weekend!

Thanks Ruth! Yah- the fact that B&D is a 2 credit meal really bothers me... And it's the only reason we haven't tried it. I guess I would have to work out the prices to see if it's something that's worth doing OOP? I have a feeling it will get bumped out by one of the others for that reason alone.

love love love the bag. The fabrics are just perfect.

Thank you Chiara!

Steamboat Mickey is great. I love how all the fabrics "match" up even if they are different colors.

Thanks! I do too!

I think your list is a great place to start. Not sure how you are going to have 3 meals in HS (unless you spend 3 days there) but I'm sure you will figure it out. I probably should have stated that we aren't planning on doing ALL of those meals. LOL That is just the rough list of what we'd like to choose from. The only ones we are doing for sure, are the Non-negotiable ones. :thumbsup2

So, BFF and her dd are going to look the list over and read about those restaurants, then come back at me with their own list. Since they rarely go - we are going to try to accomodate their requests as much as possible. :thumbsup2

Thank you very much Brenda! I really makes me happy that people truly love what I make.

Yah - I guess my post was confusing. LOL We aren't going to try to do all of those on this trip - the only ones we are doing, for sure, are the non-negotiable ones... the other list is just a starting point for BFF to look at and decide if any of them look good - then she will come back to me with their list, and hopefully we can narrow it down a lot further. However, I did forget to add Kona as an option - I really want to eat there some day for breakfast.

Yay - so happy you are here!!! PTRs tend to move much slower, so I hope you are able to keep up. And I admit, I moved my last TR along much faster than I would have liked, because I knew I had this trip to plan, and it was a big one.

Hmmm... Interesting about the new photopass site... I did all of my photos on the old site, and I should have taken the time to look at the new site before my photos expired - but I ran out of time. :crazy2: So, tell me, on the new site - we now get 60 days to edit? If so, that is awesome! I usually have to work like a crazy person after we get home to get all of our edits done - so that would be nice.

Hi Bridget! I didn't realize this was you! It's so hard to try and tell if some people are the same from their Dis names. LOL So I am glad you stopped by! And I am even happier that you like your bag! I am very excited about it myself... I can't wait for you to see it in person and carry it on your next trip. :lovestruc

LOL - Yah - we do have a lot of ADRs to choose from, we are definately going to narrow it down... This was just the "rough draft" that I am sending to BFF... The non-negotiable ones are just that... LOL The girls and I are eating there no matter what. :cool1: But the others are just ideas to get them started, then they can look up those restaurants in their Passporters to see if any of them look like something they want to do. Hopefully we can whiddle them down a little bit... After all, if we are going for a shorter trip, it will be very hard to only have 6 or 7 to choose from. :faint:

I prefer to go to Target on Black Friday and I agree with you about them opening on Thanksgiving Day now. I'm not happy with that. Only way I'll go is if there is something I really want, otherwise I'll wait and go later.

Steamboat Willie turned out great!!! Love it!!

Thanks Sandra! Yah - me neither... I used to LOVE opening on Black Friday - it was my favorite shift of the entire year. But now that they are opening on Thursday night, I still get my early Friday morning shift - which by then, we are usually dead and we are all bored. :( It's not very fun working BF anymore.

**********************************************************

So, when I posted my restarurant list yesterday - I should have eplained the list was only a starting point. The only restaurants that we are doing for certain are the non-negotiable ones... the others are just a starting point of what the girls and I like and what we are interested in doing. I also forgot to put Kona on that list, I'd really like to eat there for breakfast some day. :thumbsup2 So, hopefully BFF will look over all the restaurants we sent her, and will come back at us with their list - then we can start to narrow it down a little bit. I told her that we don't always have to eat at the same restaurant, we can split up and eat at different places. :thumbsup2

**********************************************************

Yesterday was a great day!

As you all saw, I finished up my custom order for the week. :thumbsup2 I am very happy with how it turned out.

After that, I worked on the Great Stocking Project for a little while.

When I was at work the other day, my friend who loaned me the embroidery machine came in - I have not seen her since she loaned it to me... We talked about it a little bit, and I told her that I didn't think I was interested in buying it - even though I was very grateful that she loaned it to me - I didn't think it would work for what I needed... I explained to her, that in order to make it useful for me, I would have to invest hundreds into software for it, and spend (potentially) hours converting fonts and transferring them to the software... By the time I do that - I might as well purchase the machine that can do what I need it to do. So, then she told me she would like the machine back, as she had someone else she could sell it to. :thumbsup2 I kind of expected that - I knew from the beginning, she was only borrowing it to me because she wanted me to purchase it from her, and once I told her that it wasn't what I needed, she would want it back. So, it's totally OK.

The reason I told that whole story, is that I needed to get all of the names done for the stockings, because I have no idea what that font is on the machine, and I have no idea if I would be able to find it elsewhere. So, I finished up all of the names I needed to do. I plan on packing up her machine this week, so I can get it back to her the next time I go to town. It was super nice to have it for as long as I did, and it really enabled me to learn a little bit about embroidery machines - because prior to this, I was clueless. ::yes::

Now, I am looking forward to purchasing my next machine... I am very close to being done saving for it - which is a relief, because I have been saving since we returned from our trip.

On to other things...

I went to town yesterday to pick up Alli and her friend from school... I also picked up a pizza for dinner.

When we came home, I started my couponing... I hadn't clipped them for a few weeks - so my task was quite massive. But I was able to get it done. Unfortunately, I am going grocery shopping this morning with out a list. :crazy2: But, at least I will have coupons. LOL

Then, after we ate, V and I decided it was time to break out the Christmas movies... The first one we watched was Santa Clause 3... I wanted to start with the first one - as that makes the most sense, but V wanted to watch 3... So that's what we watched. :confused3 And, as usual, I fell asleep with MM on my lap. ::yes::

Alrighty... I hope you all have a fantastic day! Sending out prayers to all who need them. :lovestruc

D~

I think you will be happy with a newer model machine too. The brother machines are quite user friendly.

I am going to Target today I was going to go to Babies R Us but I am thinking Target as I need a few grocery items and C needs a pair of shoes.

I love the Santa Clause Movies.

I was able to talk to BFF very briefly about our trip yesterday... I told her, by Christmas, we need to have our dining options ironed out. So, she told me to send her an email of where the girls and I want to eat... Her and Olivia will go over them and give their opinions. I told her - there will be a couple that are non-negotiable. LOL However, I did say, if they have no interest in those places, I would be happy to help her make ADRs for elsewhere. :thumbsup2 So, this is our tentative list... Non-negotiable: Crystal Palace, breakfast before the park opens Tusker House, breakfast before the park opens Other suggestions in no particular order: The Plaza - Magic Kingdom (D~, we have never eaten here) Liberty Tree Tavern - Magic Kingdom (D~, Lunch, this is normally a must-do meal for us) Be Our Guest - Magic Kingdom (Victoria) Akershus - Epcot (Victoria) 50's Prime time - Hollywood Studios (D~ & V, lunch or dinner) Sci-Fi dine in - Hollywood Studios (Allison) Hollywood Brown Derby - Hollywood Studios (Victoria - two meal credits) 1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian (Victoria, breakfast) 'Ohana - Polyneisan (Allison & V, breakfast) Chef Mickey's - Contemporary (D~, we have never eaten here) Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge (Allison, dinner) Considering that we are most likely only going to be there for 7 nights - we will have to do some eliminating. :rolleyes1 So, are we missing anything? Is there anything that is a must-do for you? D~

Chef Mickey breakfast on our off day was our favorite from the Aug trip. I think it will be our must do even though there are many many more to try in future trips (like the Tusker breakfast- everyone raves!)

D~

We've always wanted to do some of the breakfast options, but I'm afraid we would be miserable waking up so early. You don't think it's hard to wake up even earlier? Have you tried Via Napoli? We loved our meal there. We also had our best meal ever at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I know it's two credits, which is hard to swing, but it is phenomenal! I highly suggest it.

Your Steamboat Willie bag is gorgeous! I have some serious bag envy...

Sorry to say that my room was definitely in worse shape. I had moved boxes (and more boxes) of fabric from the storage room to the sewing room and I had a narrow path between those boxes and my cutting table - which was also covered. Everything is mostly put away in new containers and my cutting table is cleared off.

Ok, so, I do definitely have another sinus infection, back on steroids and anti-biotics for 2 weeks. If I'm not better in 2 weeks, I will have 3 weeks of a stronger anti-biotic - the same one I was on in the spring. Next sinus issue is going to probably trigger something more drastic, like surgery.

I think you will love your "new" embroidery machine. I've had a lot of fun with mine.

$10 is about what I want to spend on a new machine. I think I'll haunt the local thrift shops, goodwill and salvation army to find one I can afford. Charlie just rolls his eyes when I tell him I need a new machine. Still need to take the Sapphire in for repairs. I'm waiting for the budget to cooperate, since we are paying oop for the dvc. Everything else is on hold for now.

I love reading about the "Great Stocking Project" :santa:

I am waiting for the news that the Christmas village has been setup. I figured your girls would be asking to set it up soon.

As for as your ADRs - I figured you weren't planning on trying to do all of those meals (obviously the math doesn't work). I also figured you were going to be generous and go with what your BFF and Olivia were leaning towards. It is smart to give them a starting point because I can imagine just giving someone a list of restaurants in WDW and saying "pick" would be overwhelming. It is hard enough for a repeat visitor to narrow down the choices.

And don't get me started on all these stores opening up on Thanksgiving. It is so unnecessary. Give the workers a break and let them enjoy one day without having to deal with the crazy shoppers (note, I go shopping on black Friday sometimes so I am calling myself crazy)

Glad you got to use that embroidery machine, it was a great way to figure out what it takes to do embroidery on a machine. So cool that you are close to your savings goal for the new machine. You have a good handle on the additional costs and what supplies you will need (that you don't already have).

Oh and I never got to really play with that Alpha Baker software I bought that is designed to put the letters of a font together. I think I just got overwhelmed with it and my computer was soooo slow it wasn't working for me. I should try it again on this computer - I'll put it on my list. ;)

I fell way behind on your TR but I am definitely jumping in on this one before the thread gets away from me. I look forward to seeing what you have planned! :wave2:

Can't wait to see the stockings!!

Sorry that you have to give the embroidery machine back but it's good that you are almost finished saving money for one of your own!

Glad you got all the names done on the stockings. Hope I haven't missed the photos. I think stores opening on Thanksgiving is greedy. They should allow employees the opportunity for family time. I love to shop, but they could do online deals until black friday.

As far as the new photopass site goes, the photos are good for 45 days. You can buy only 1 extension for another 15 days. I have spent more money than I care to admit, as my trip was early summer and I extended the photos multiple times on the old site, all the way until last week. So at least I will end up paying less. Just hope I can get them done by deadline next time. I can't wait until mine arrive, there are some adorable photos.

Well, since I get the credit/blame for you getting your studio cleaned up...I think it is only fair that YOU come and clean MINE!!

I am going to Target today I was going to go to Babies R Us but I am thinking Target as I need a few grocery items and C needs a pair of shoes.

I love the Santa Clause Movies.

I am sure I will be happy with it - after all - it's the machine that everyone raves about, and the machine I've always wanted! I am very excited actually! Once that is done, then I NEED to buckle down and purchase a new shelf/shelves for my sewing room - as mine are STUFFED and piled as high as they will go. :crazy2:

I was at Target all day yesterday (and Walmart, and the grocery store, and the food co-op...) It was CRAZY! I hope you were able to find what you needed, and at a good price.

Chef Mickey breakfast on our off day was our favorite from the Aug trip. I think it will be our must do even though there are many many more to try in future trips (like the Tusker breakfast- everyone raves!)

We have not eaten at CM's yet - I know - we are a disgrace... but we can just never seem to make it work with our schedule - mostly because the girls like 'Ohana so much - and I am not sure that I want to sacrafice park time to go there. :confused3 Some day - we will take our 14 day dream trip, where I vow to do EVERYTHING that we never get to do. LOL

We've always wanted to do some of the breakfast options, but I'm afraid we would be miserable waking up so early. You don't think it's hard to wake up even earlier? Have you tried Via Napoli? Your Steamboat Willie bag is gorgeous! I have some serious bag envy...

Thanks for the compliments! :) Not really - we are naturally very early to bed/early to rise people... I am normally up (at the latest) by 5am every morning... However, due to this darned time change, I have been waking between 3am and 4am every morning - now that is a bit too early, even for me. :crazy2: But, due to the fact that FL is an hour ahead of us - it's kind of like sleeping in - on average, while we are there, I wake every morning at 6am anyways - so it's really no different when we have early breakfast ADRs, because I don't have to go down to the food court, get breakfast, wake the girls and wait for them to eat - and since we are rope drop people anyways, well, we only have to be at the bus stop about 30 min earlier than normal. It's really not that bad. And getting to walk through the park with no one in it is the most wonderful way to start the day. :thumbsup2

Sorry to say that my room was definitely in worse shape. I had moved boxes (and more boxes) of fabric from the storage room to the sewing room and I had a narrow path between those boxes and my cutting table - which was also covered. Everything is mostly put away in new containers and my cutting table is cleared off.

Hahha... OK - I will let you win this time... LOL - but next time... We better have pictures. LOL It's so much easier to work when everything is not all over - I have to admit, it was really starting to stress me out.

Oh no Tess!!! I sure hope you are feeling better soon!

I think you will love your "new" embroidery machine. I've had a lot of fun with mine.

I have no doubt that I will, I am looking forward to it. It's won't change what I do very much - other than I will still be able to add fonts to my items if people want them - which is an option I think some would like to have? Not sure? I just know I like adding it where I feel it's appropriate.

I think $10 is a good price. LOL But I honestly have never seen a machine priced for that little at our Goodwill before or since - so I am kind of wondering if mine was mispriced? Or maybe sewing machines are more in demand now and they put a higher price on them? Usually, most of them are priced between $20 and $30 at my Goodwill now-a-days... Which isn't a super bad price and one I would consider paying if it was the machine on my very short wishlist... Another Rocketter, a Singer 237 or the ever elusive (to me anyways) Singer 401a. :scratchin All of these would be a back up applique machine - since my Mr. R drives me crazy sometimes. :crazy2:

I love reading about the "Great Stocking Project"

Hahaha... I would LOVE to read that it's done. LOL

I am waiting for the news that the Christmas village has been setup. I figured your girls would be asking to set it up soon.

OMG! You are sooo funny Liz! You know me way too well! I was trying to talk the girls into doing it last weekend after Halloween... but they refused - since it was "Halloween" weekend... But soon, very soon... I am getting very anxious to get it up. ::yes::

As for as your ADRs - I figured you weren't planning on trying to do all of those meals (obviously the math doesn't work). I also figured you were going to be generous and go with what your BFF and Olivia were leaning towards. It is smart to give them a starting point because I can imagine just giving someone a list of restaurants in WDW and saying "pick" would be overwhelming. It is hard enough for a repeat visitor to narrow down the choices.

Yah... I am glad you figured that out - because I was confused. LOL And I can't believe I didn't put Kona on that list... It needs to go on there. I hope she is able to look at them soon and give me some sort of direction to go.

And don't get me started on all these stores opening up on Thanksgiving. It is so unnecessary. Give the workers a break and let them enjoy one day without having to deal with the crazy shoppers (note, I go shopping on black Friday sometimes so I am calling myself crazy)

Yah - I know. I just miss the frantic opening of the store at 6am on black friday - it was so much fun to work that shift. The only time I ever shop on black friday is when I am working (which is every year - LOL) - but I only go to our Target store either before/after/during my lunch break and grab just a few things - I rarely ever get anything big - usually just the deep discount movies.

Glad you got to use that embroidery machine, it was a great way to figure out what it takes to do embroidery on a machine. So cool that you are close to your savings goal for the new machine. You have a good handle on the additional costs and what supplies you will need (that you don't already have).

Yah - I am very thankful that I was able to learn a little on this machine - it really gave me a sense of whether I really wanted one or not and how much it would be worth to me. I am not sure that there are any additional supplies I will need? I think I have everything - I think it's all the same stuff I use for hand applique - well, that's what I have been using anyways, and it seemed to work. I will probably just need more of it now. LOL

Oh and I never got to really play with that Alpha Baker software I bought that is designed to put the letters of a font together. I think I just got overwhelmed with it and my computer was soooo slow it wasn't working for me. I should try it again on this computer - I'll put it on my list.

That's a bummer - I hope you are able to figure it out on a different computer, because it seems like it would be very useful.

I fell way behind on your TR but I am definitely jumping in on this one before the thread gets away from me. I look forward to seeing what you have planned!

No worries - I am used to it. LOL Welcome! I am super happy to have you here and following along. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see the stockings!!

Sorry that you have to give the embroidery machine back but it's good that you are almost finished saving money for one of your own!

Me too - LOL - I hope to make a good dent in them today. I am also very excited to get an embroidery machine - I've been making due with out one for so long, it will be fun to be able to add fonts to my items if anyone requests.

Glad you got all the names done on the stockings. Hope I haven't missed the photos. I think stores opening on Thanksgiving is greedy. They should allow employees the opportunity for family time. I love to shop, but they could do online deals until black friday.

Nope, you haven't missed any photos of the stockings... I did a progress picture a few weeks ago - but I think that was posted in my TR? :confused3 Here it is, just in case:

I agree - Thanksgiving is getting very greedy... People have the exact same $$ to spend whether they open on TG day or Black Friday - so the store profits will remain the same - any additional profits made will just be balanced out by the cost of running the store... So it is just senseless.

Oh yikes! That is a lot of extentions! I devote a lot more time to editing than I care to admit - it's like adding another part time job to my work load while I am editing - but I am too much of a tightwad to ask for an extention. Although - this time, I started off adding every border to every picture and after the first day - I started to get a little more relaxed about it, and just chose the better picture and my favorite borders. I was done this time in record time. :thumbsup2 I think I started off with like 600 photos to edit and ended with 5 CDs worth (I can't remember the final number...) - but I just sit here and edit and zone out. LOL

Well, since I get the credit/blame for you getting your studio cleaned up...I think it is only fair that YOU come and clean MINE!!
Nini

Hahaha... I would love to Nini! :beach: I am sure - if I timed it right, I could arrive a few days before you leave for your trip - I know you have an extra seat in your van for me. :thumbsup2

**********************************************************

So, the girls and I went up to BFF's yesterday... The girls all stayed at BFF's house while bff and I went grocery shopping...

We hit the co-op and Walmart first... Then Target... Then the grocery store.

Of course - I spent the most and had the most savings at Target... My total started off at $260 and I paid $130... So, about 50% savings after all of my coupons, Team Member, Debit Card and Cartwheel discounts.

The grocery store wasn't too bad either... I started at $75 and paid $44... :smokin: All in all, it was a good shopping day, and I was able to get everything I needed.

Then the girls and I came home and unpacked it all...

We had left over Pizza/Taco bake for dinner and we all watched Life of Pi... Great movie - quite sad, as the Tiger has much the same personality as MM does. :scratchin

Then we all played Mario Kart for a while... So much fun - it has been a while since we played - and we all get pretty competitive.

Today, I will be in my sewing room working on The Great Stocking Project... I would really LOVE to get all of the stockings I have quilted to be assembled and done. Then I also would love to have the last 3 stockings quilted too - but I just don't think that will happen... That is a LOT of work for one day, and I just don't feel like I will get it all done. I don't think I will have these done on time, and I think they will have to be shipped to The Netherlands at our cost. Such a bummer - but oh well.

I am trying to let the family sleep a little longer before I start up the machines for the day.

I hope you all have a fantastic Sunday! Sending prayers out to all in need! :lovestruc

Love the new bag, it might be one of my favorites!!! 'Ohana is a deal breaker for us, so is Crystal Palace before park opening. The choices look great, makes me hungry for Disney food...

well Sami loves her high chair so it was a success and cheapy me bought the 39.99 basic bones one. I honestly don't think she will be long for it. Also I have no one to pass it to so I figured when I am done with it I will donate it to the church my parents and sister go to.

Good luck on your stocking project.I am going to be cutting out pjs today. SOme for Christmas and I owe C a pair from her birthday.
