Do all Resorts have the Same Type of Sofa Beds?

We just got back from our trip to the BLT. We were very impressed with the comfort of the sofa bed. It was nicely firm, no sag or uncomfortable bars, and was definitely a different design than a typical sofa bed. I could have easily slept comfortably in it for a week.

So do all WDW DVC resorts use this same model? These are so much better than the sofa bed at my timeshare at Harborside at Atlantis.

No they do not. I think there are about three different kinds in use at WDW. OKW has a different kind than BWV/BCV/VWL and AKV/BLT are the same. Note the one at OKW is only in the living room of the one and two BRs. I know the sofas feel different just to sit on them before opening. But we've only used one at AKV. It was very comfortable. I was told it was the same as the one at BLT. I opened the BLT pull out couch but didn't sleep on it. It seemed to be the same to me.

Hopefully others will comment about the other resorts.

Reviving this thread after spending another week at BLT. Wife and I agree that the sofa bed is more comfortable than the mattress in the bedroom.

How are the sofa beds at the BC and BWVs?

trying 'em all out... ;)

They are different from resort to resort, some being similar at a few resorts. I have never slept on one that I thought was comfortable.

There are at least three different kinds. At BCV and BWV, they have a model that flips forward from the back of the sofa and the cushions stay attached. It is more of a traditional mattress on a spring base. Fairly comfortable, but hard to get out of if you are 63 years old. There aren't any bars underneath, just around the edges.

OKW, SSR, BLT (and I guess AKV) have the platform style. They open the standard way, where just the seating area flips open. I've found these to be rather uncomfortable because they have a three section foam pad instead of a true mattress.

And then there are some of the older style with the bar underneath.

Last time we stayed at VWL, we didn't use the sleeper sofa, so I'm not sure what kind they have.

The ones at SSR and AKV Kindani are different not sure about Jambo House.

The sleep sofa at SSR is extraordinarily uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on. We even asked housekeeping to bring up some egg crate mattresses to help with the firmness, but it was still awful. I felt so bad that my brother had to sleep on that rock all week.
