BIG change to FP+ today

Having used FP+ without these rules it was ok. However if this were affecting my WDW trip you know I would be calling, emailing and snail mailing my complaints. That is awful to have to choose between TT or Soarin

What about the many people who stay are there for only 4 days, they will only get to pick one and stand in line for 3 hours during Christmas time. Not very magical

Our DS & DIL will be there 12/20-30. They will NOT be happy about this

Hmmmm........Ride rationing. Lovely. Disney's answer to having too few rides in the park. We're not huge Epcot fans to begin with. If it rolls out like this when we go, I'd probably skip Epcot entirely.

Kenny the Pirate suggests if you already have FP+ picks that you screenshoot them. I regret that I am just a simple caveman (any SNL fans out there?) and do not know what this means or how to do it. I think it involves my phone. Do I need to download an app to my phone first? Would I do a different screenshot for each individual day? I have done everything on MDE on my laptop. If you reply, please explain as if to a child as I am NOT tech savvy.

If you have an apple ipad or iphone, just press both buttons at the same time. I forget how to do it on the apple desktop.

ETA... Although, I don't think it will do a lot of good.

Me too, wish I had concentrated on my FP+ instead of worrying about friends who are all going down either today or this weekend.

No, I meant to say that I replaced one of my others for MSEP and then one of my other 2 disappeared! It's gone!

My fiend's TT and Soarin are gone for tonight, no idea why.

Why should I have to choose between soarin and tt. My girls don't like mission space so they're the 2 rides for us in epcot. I am paying 7000gbp for this trip anf feel like I am being told how to enjoy it. It feels like a holiday at boot camp not wdw.
I am hoping this changes before may.

With regular FP system was it possible to visit Epot over the Christmas Break and within one day pull FPs for both Soarin and TT? With FP+ why not use RP to ride TT and use FP+ for Soarin? I always assumed to get any value and enjoyable experience at WDW during peak crowds RP had to be part of the strategy?

What phone do you have?

with iphone you press "home" button and "power" button at the same time.
You'll hear a click as if you're taking a picture.
Then your screenshot will be in your Camera/Photo file

Someone else will need to help you with other smartphones.

Depending what your travel plans are, park day you visit, and crowds, choosing between Soarin and TT may result even with FP+. If you visit during peak crowds are you not already using RP to get on one of those rides? If visiting when crowds are less RP and FP+ are less of an issue as you should be able to ride both.

I love walking around WS. But yeah, at this point, with the lack of rides and the focus on festivals to sell food and drink, it's hard to see how Epcot merits a full park admission anymore. At what point does it just become a pretty mall. It should be half of the price of MK at this point IMO.

Everyone participating in FP+ and MDE is supposed to get a survey afterwards (according to a CM on a phone call for FP+ supprt). It's very important that you provide feedback if you want them to make changes to the system.

So, check the email linked to MDE when you get back to make sure you get the survey.

While I know that Disney's main goal is to make money, I also believe that they know that the way to do this is to make people happy. Happier people spend more money. I know I do.

I called IT last night because my friend's FP+ was a mess, not only couldn't they fix it (they had no idea what was wrong) but the CM told me not to worry about it, just go and have a good time. Huh?!? I gave my friend a detailed itinerary telling her where to go when, if she just traipsed across the park to use a FP+ I told her to use and they can't get on the ride she is going to be supremely annoyed.

It doesn't look like a glitch.

Not a glitch, a test.

It's not a glitch unfortunately. I think Disney is trying to test all their options before a full roll out. One attraction they did not put on the tier 1 lost was mission space. I believe Disney is going to figure out that there needs to be some perk whether it depends on which hotel you stay on property or off or even if you pay to get more. One thing that is good about this is it's only at Epcot it's not everyday it's only on certain dates of November @Epcyclopedia: Test Dates: November 4, 8, 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29 Dec 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 16, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29
This is still only a test it can still be changed I just think Disney is weighing all of the options out there.

Wow, it took minutes for that person to copy and past that as their own original stuff! Dates are now closed all Nov and Dec.

They don't change, this is just if you are picking FP+ now.

LOL..... just be sure you pay your trip in full first. Then leave the details up to the supreme powers.

It just kills me that they think people will pay nearly $100 a day then not really care whether they get to actually DO the things they paid the money to do!

All I know is I hope they keep the 60 days +10 for prebooking and then 45 days to pay up in full. If they mess with that and make you pay before you prebook rides, I'm out I tell you, I'm out!

I sent them an email today to let them know that this is terrible! I've been supportive because it wasn't all too restrictive but this change is over the top!
