~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

I'm here!!! :wave2:

I feel like Slacker Suzi showing up on page 3! :lmao: :stir:

I am at work and have not read ANY of your beginning posts (or anything after for that matter). I will try to catch up this evening!

Can't wait to hear all about the next trip! :cool1:

Well, I'm finally here, too. That's what happens when I have to work at night. Geezy peasy. On top of working - and I've been out every evening this week so far, I had to finish up the quarterly taxes for C's company - another of my unpaid jobs. LOL

Sounds like you have a very fun trip planned. I will pm you for dates, because ours are likely to change and if I can swing a slightly earlier trip, I might if I get a chance for a dismeet!

You should look into the park hoppers. We weren't planning to do them for our next trip. We were just going to add on the water park option, but its only another $28 or so to add on the park hoppers to the water park option, so, if we don't end up with APs, we probably will do park hoppers again. They came in handy last trip and we were able to go back to HS and pick up the things we missed and then hop over to EPCOT for the evening.

I think the idea of a tour sounds fun.

Ha! Who's the slacker now my dear???

D, I totally agree with whoever said a tour. That would be fantastic. The girls are all old enough that they should enjoy them. Maybe since you all like AK so much...maybe the Jungle Trek? Fun fun.

And I'm so proud of you for even considering PHs....yay you!

I'm here ready to hear all about your next trip. I'm so jealous I would really love to go back to WDW. Well I will just have to live it through your Pre-Trip report and Trip report.

Hahaha.... I am totally a slacker and freely admit that! But it's just more fun when all the attention is on someone else instead of me! ;) Love ya Suzi...it's all in good fun! :goodvibes

I do have to jump in here and say that a tour is a GREAT idea. You will have to wait til my TR progresses along, but we did the KTTK tour and I would probably do it again it was so GREAT!!!::yes::

Parkhoppers are a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL thing! I LOVE them!

I'm here! Been in and out (but always reading!) your TRs! Can't wait to read about the planning (and see more AMAZING bags!):thumbsup2

I am here too. How didi get so far behind? I look forward to reading about your trip. We aren't doing WDW this year. Marissa and I are going to Disneyland in April. No ptr for me because I don't get to plan anything.

A tour does sound like fun! Another suggestion would be a fireworks cruise.
You could book one of the private ones with desserts and snacks on board. Here, let me see if I can find a link...

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/specialty-cruises/

Here is a link from the Dis that has pricing:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/fireworks.htm#mkcruisebasic
(just noticed on this link that the sound from Wishes is NOT piped in on this cruise....that would be a NO for me for sure)

I know how much we absolutely LOVED the Pirates and Pals cruise, but I also know your girls are too old for that. But there is just something so magical about watching the fireworks from the lagoon. pixiedust:

D~ love all the wonderful pictures past & present! :goodvibes

Such a Fantastic trip you have planned with BFF and DD and Sweet Sixteen! :lovestruc

I wish I could stand the heat and humidity of August but due to my health issues that is no longer possible, I would so love to meet you guys!

I am running around like a chicken with no head trying to finish up packing, we leave Saturday but our flight is not until 6:30am Sunday morning. We are staying over at the hotel near the airport like always

Gotta run.........

Hi Dee,
Following along on the new report. Interested to know where the title comes from.
Love the pictures with you and your daughters.

I am sew in for another D~ trip!! I may not post often anymore, but you are still a part of my morning routine! Glad to see there is already another trip on the horizon to plan for. Would you guys have any interest in the Segway tour at Epcot?? Ive read a couple of TR's that did and it looked pretty fun. Except for that getting up early before park opening to do it....lol.

My fabric store is in Rehoboth Beach Delaware which is on the Atlantic coast. I do home fabrics as well as selling window treatments, cushions, pillows, bedding, blinds, etc.... Keeps me VERY busy and keeps me also sewing daily! I only rarely have time for fun projects but I did find time to make myself a bag for our trip coming very shortly in November. I'll try to post a picture, I used your designs as inspiration! I will also see about getting pics of my store.
Our August 2014 trip will also be 10 days, but we are doing a week in the parks and a three day cruise, SO excited!

I totally agree about getting parkhoppers. We've gotten them for every trip since they started issueing them. A tour would be fun, too. We like Tokyo Dining and if you time it right you can see illuminations from there. I envy your 10 day trip.
Liz

D~ I'm here! Although, I do need to go back and finish your TR. (I've been sew busy.) My Allie really liked your Donald bag and asked me to make a Minnie one but then she found out that I would have to "kill" a stuffed animal. :rotfl:

I never post actual dates for any of our vacations on the internet. I'll have to PM you as I think our next trip is around the same time as yours.

I'm here!
Sorry about the incident :confused3 What a pain.
I will be reading along and attempting to stay caught up which we all know is a laugh with me! But I do so LOVE seeing your bags etc... Perhaps I will end up there in August 2014 (although oct/nov 2014) is still my first choice. Well really I want to do both! but I somehow don't think that will happen...

Hi D! As for your trip plans, have you done the afternoon tea with the girls at the GFC? It was a great afternoon and even if you don't like tea there were some other beverage options. I just liked the cool, relaxing afternoon activity.

Birthday meals are always fun at 50's PT and Teppan Edo. :)

Ugh! Sorry to hear about the incident!!

I'm here though!! I like the idea of a tour. We did KTTK 5 years ago and loved it!! My DH and Dad did the Behind the Steam Trains Tour and they both enjoyed it for different reasons though my DH is just a train fan and my Dad's dad, my grandpa, worked on the railroad. So there's probably something they'd all enjoy.

Happy Halloween from Neverland!!

Well, two of our favorite restaurants are Teppan Edo and Cape May (Beach Club)

10 days sounds wonderful! We have passes, so we don't have to pay to park hop, but it sure is nice to be able to jump over to another park if the one we are in is too crowded, or we just feel like changing!

I think the two rooms - more specifically two bathrooms - is definately needed with 5 females in the group!

We have never eaten at Teppan Edo, but we have done Cape May (for dinner) - we enjoyed it, but I still haven't taken crab cracking lessons - however, BFF is an excellent crab cracker, and she will be with me... Hmmm... :rolleyes1

Still not sure if we are keeping the 10 days... It honestly depends on when BIL and SIL arrive - I am pretty sure we will be knocking it down to a 6 or 7 day trip this time. If that's the case - Park Hoppers will be a must do.

And yes, the 2 bathrooms will be a serious benefit to two rooms.

And here it is... the long awaited PTR!!

I always wonder about posting trip dates myself. And then there's my superstitious side: if you set it in writing something's bound to make it not so.

And really, in the long run, aren't we really hear to go through the fun of anticipation and some really lovely customs?

Yes, here it is... LOL

I understand your superstition... however, mine is, if you don't put it in writing - it will never happen. LOL So, writing PTRs really makes me work harder for my goal.

Hahaha... Well, yes, the customs are one aspect of it. :thumbsup2

D, my one suggestion would have been: GET PARK HOPPERS! You can get so much done in that hour in the morning and sometimes the two hours in the evening. However, I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about that with the new Magic Band and FP+ for ONLY one park a day. I'll have a better feel for it after our trip in December and May/June.

Have fun in your sewing room today.

Oh....and Happy Halloween

Well, I think I will be agreeing with you this time, and PH may be the only way to get everything done in a few days. I think - what I would do with FP+ is do them for the park we plan in the evening... We all know that the parks are less crowded in the morning.

I did have a great sewing room day. Thanks!

And thank you for the Halloween wishes! I hope you had a fun one too!

I have always done hoppers before APs. I like the option of going to a different park in the evening because for us all nights end in Epcot . We don't do water parks. I honestly have a germaphobic reaction to them. It is all I can do to go in the resort pool and don't get me started on cruise ship pools ICK.

Sounds like a fun trip so far. Also we discovered for us this last trip we must have a sit down dinner every day. We think that screwed J up on this last trip.

Have an awesome day in your sewing room.

Yup - I am pretty sure we will be doing PH this trip... Especially if we are going for fewer days. The hardest part is the more we go - the more must-dos we end up with... Which turns into the NEED for a longer trip... Which then gets expensive. LOL So, I am thinking that this time PH is the only way to get it all done - or even attempting to.

I understand your germ-o-phobe reaction... However, I jsut try not to think about it. What I find even scarier are the "mud runs"... My neighbor and I were talking about them a few weeks ago - and those are SCARY!!!!... Think about it... That mud hole at the very end is one big toilet... There are runners that don't stop to use the restroom - they just "go" as they are running. I wouldn't know about this - I am not a runner... but my neighbor was telling me about people who do that (she used to do mud runs all the time - until discovering this) - and it just grossed me out. Then you hear about all these people that have these hospitalizations after the mud runs due to a "parasite" in their system... Hmmm... Now it all makes sense. :( So... As much as I would LOVE to be a runner some day - I would NEVER do a mud run - ever.

I agree about the sit down meals... They are so helpful to get that added "rest" during your day. I don't think the girls and I could ever do a trip with out sit down meals... however there is just no way we could do DxDDP... Waaaay too much food!

If you're wanting to do something different to make the trip special I would look into taking a tour. We have been on three different ones and they are so much fun. It really gives you a new appreciation for the parks. The tours have always been the highlight of our trips, and the CMs that lead them are fun to get to know.

I seriously need to look into doing the tours... However - the one that really interests me is the KTTW tour, but I do know that you have to be 16 to do that one, and not all of the girls will be 16... I will have to look into the others though.

D~ I don't post very often, but I look forward to reading your TRs and/or PTRs everyday! You are so open and generous and I love that about you. I am sorry that you felt uneasy with giving out so many details the last time, but I understand that you need to be cautious! I have gotten more cautious in the last year or so. I have an almost 6 month grand-daughter that I won't even put pictures of on Facebook. Her mom is a teacher and she took down her FB page because of her students.
Alli's pictures are beautiful and I love that she has her own logo!! Very professional!
Enjoy your girls...they grow up so quickly! My girls and I were very close because their dad was a firefighter and was only home every other night. We made it through the teenage years and we are still close even now that they are married and starting their own families! Every day is precious!

Hi there! Thank you so much - I love hearing that people start their days (or end their days) with my TRs/PTRs... That is just really nice. I don't ever think of myself as having anything important to say - so it just baffles me that I am remotely interesting to anyone. LOL

Well - I cannot say that we were ever in harms way... The incident just made me very uneasy and it made me rethink what I post. Safety is the most important - and no one wants to go on vacation and look over their shoulder the whole time.

Thank you for the lovely comments on Alli's photography - I love seeing her work and seeing the world through her lens. I am very proud of her for continuing to learn more and more about her camera - it seems that every photoshoot she does, she excells in some way.

I know- I am kind of in panic mode right now... Over the last few years, I've realized that the girls are growing so fast... So now I am scrambling to "stop time" and enjoy as much time as I can with them. Alli will be graduating in just a few short years... And V is right behind her. It's so sad to watch them grow, knowing it will only progress to them leaving, but it's so wonderful to see the amazing people they are becoming.

Can't wait to hear all the details for this trip

Thank you! And welcome! So very glad you made it over!

I'm here!!!

I feel like Slacker Suzi showing up on page 3!

I am at work and have not read ANY of your beginning posts (or anything after for that matter). I will try to catch up this evening!

Can't wait to hear all about the next trip!

Hey!!! SO happy you made it over!!! Nah - Slacker Suzi arrived earlier, and I don't consider anyone a slacker in my TRs/PTRs until page 10 or 11. :rotfl2:

A day late but here now! Ruth

Hi Ruth!!! Happy Birthday!!! I hope you have a great day today!

Well, I'm finally here, too. That's what happens when I have to work at night. Geezy peasy. On top of working - and I've been out every evening this week so far, I had to finish up the quarterly taxes for C's company - another of my unpaid jobs. LOL

I think the idea of a tour sounds fun.

You have more unpaid jobs than anyone I know... but you are such a good person to do it all. And you know what they say... A busy life keeps you out of trouble (it's never worked for me though... Hahahah).

I would love to do a Dismeet with you, if we can make it work!

We are definately going to look into the PH option - especially if we end up with a shorter trip, PH will be the only way to get anything done - I think.

I agree - I am going to look into the tours... I really want to do the KTTW tour someday - but I think everyone in the party has to be 16, Olivia and V will still be 15 - so I am not sure that one will work? I will need to research other tours though.

Hahaha... No Slacker Suzis here!

Oooh - there are tours in AK??? Yup - definately need to look into tours!

LOL - yes, with a shorter trip, I think that PH are going to be a must do this trip - as much as it pains me to spend that much $$.

I'm here ready to hear all about your next trip. I'm so jealous I would really love to go back to WDW. Well I will just have to live it through your Pre-Trip report and Trip report.

Hi Lillian!!! I am so happy to have you here! I know you'll find a way back to WDW some day!!!

Hahaha.... I am totally a slacker and freely admit that! But it's just more fun when all the attention is on someone else instead of me! Love ya Suzi...it's all in good fun!

I do have to jump in here and say that a tour is a GREAT idea. You will have to wait til my TR progresses along, but we did the KTTK tour and I would probably do it again it was so GREAT

Parkhoppers are a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL thing! I LOVE them!

Hahaha... Poor Suzi... You're right - we all do love her though!

I plan to look into the different tours - I would love to do the KTTW tour, but I think you have to be 16 to do it, and Olivia and V will still be 15 on this trip - so I don't think we can. I do plan to look into the other tours though to see if anything appeals to us.

We have never done PH - so it will really add an interesting planning aspect fo rme, if we do do them.

I'm here! Been in and out (but always reading!) your TRs! Can't wait to read about the planning (and see more AMAZING bags!)

Yay!!! Welcome! I am so happy to have you here and following along!

I am here too. How didi get so far behind? I look forward to reading about your trip. We aren't doing WDW this year. Marissa and I are going to Disneyland in April. No ptr for me because I don't get to plan anything.

Hahaha - Hi Shannon!!! Welcome! You're really not that far behind - I promise. Oooh - I have never been to DL - that will be a FUN trip! You will have a PTR soon enough - I am sure of it! You can always to a PTR for DL can't you?

A tour does sound like fun! Another suggestion would be a fireworks cruise.
You could book one of the private ones with desserts and snacks on board. Here, let me see if I can find a link...

Thanks for the links Oopsi! The Fireworks cruise does look like fun - but I agree that's a bummer that there isn't music piped in - kind of defeats the purpose of watching Wishes, doesn't it?

I do plan to look into all of the tours available... Hopefully I can find something that appeals to all of us... I know the girls mentioned something they REALLY wanted to do last time - but I need to look into it further. ::yes::

D~ love all the wonderful pictures past & present!

Such a Fantastic trip you have planned with BFF and DD and Sweet Sixteen!

I wish I could stand the heat and humidity of August but due to my health issues that is no longer possible, I would so love to meet you guys!

Gotta run.........

Thanks Sheila! I hope that some day we can meet too... I am sure - once the girls are out of High School, we can do a trip that isn't in the dead heat of summer - I would LOVE to do another spring break trip - that one was amazing and the weather was sooooo perfect!

Have a WONDERFUL trip!!! I hope you'll stop by when you get back - I would love to hear about it! How many resort hops are you doing this time? LOL

Hi Dee,
Following along on the new report. Interested to know where the title comes from.
Love the pictures with you and your daughters.

Hi!!! Welcome! SO happy to have you here and following along.

The title is actually a quote from Mrs. Potato Head in Toy Story 2, and I thought it was fitting... After all - I am bringing 3 teen-aged girls to WDW... We will be packing LOTS of shoes and I may need my "angry eyes" as well. LOL

Thank you! I love taking pictures with the girls... I feel like we have this "energy" about us when we are together... And I LOVE that Alli is able to capture it.

Hey Mike! It's great to see you! I was just looking at your family pictures that you shared on FB the other day! They turned out fantastic. I can't believe how big the kids are getting! LG looks so grown up!

Hmmm... The Segway tour would be interesting... I hate to say this - but Alli isn't the most coordinated girl on the planet, and I do fear disaster if we were to do that tour - if only she could walk behind us. LOL

Cool! I am not sure I could own a fabric store - I fear that would be my ultimate financial demise. LOL But I am sure it keeps you very busy! I would love to see pictures of your store and everything else! Have you looked at the Disboutiquer thread yet? There are TONS of people over there who post their latest makings - it's in the "family" section of Disboards.

Oooh - you'll have to PM me your dates to see if we overlap at all. Some day I hope to do a cruise... I am just not sure how well I would do - as I do tend to get car sick in certain situations.

I totally agree about getting parkhoppers. We've gotten them for every trip since they started issueing them. A tour would be fun, too. We like Tokyo Dining and if you time it right you can see illuminations from there. I envy your 10 day trip.
Liz

Well, we will see about getting PH - it depends on how long our trip is. Even though we are booked for 10 days, I am quite certain that we will be knocking it down to a 6 or 7 day trip - it's going to depend on when BIL and SIL fly in... They are plannig to purchase their airfare sometime this month - so I should be able to narrow down our dates a bit better soon.

D~ I'm here! Although, I do need to go back and finish your TR. (I've been sew busy.) My Allie really liked your Donald bag and asked me to make a Minnie one but then she found out that I would have to "kill" a stuffed animal.

I never post actual dates for any of our vacations on the internet. I'll have to PM you as I think our next trip is around the same time as yours.

LOL - your girls are sooo adorable! I just love them! And just think - a few more years and you will be able to do some AMAZING girls trips with them!

OMG!!! I would love to meet up with you! That would be so much fun! I've always admired your photography skills and your girls are adorable - I know my girls would just be so smitten with them... Please send me a PM when you get the chance. :lovestruc

I'm here!
Sorry about the incident What a pain.

Hi Erin! I am so glad you made it over! It would be awesome if we could meet up again - but I totally understand if my dates don't work out for you. There will be another time - I am sure of it... I have plans for many more trips!

Hi D! As for your trip plans, have you done the afternoon tea with the girls at the GFC? It was a great afternoon and even if you don't like tea there were some other beverage options. I just liked the cool, relaxing afternoon activity.

Birthday meals are always fun at 50's PT and Teppan Edo.

Hmmm... That's a great idea too Brenda... We have not done the afternoon tea... I know V mentioned wanting to do it on our last trip - but there was no way to fit it into our schedule. I will be looking into that one too!

I've never thought of the 50's for a birthday meal... Again - another one I wll have to look into. LOL It looks like I will be doing a TON of research for this trip!

I just love that halloween picture of the kids - they are all so precious! I hope you had a fantastic halloween!

I wish we could do the KTTW tour - it's one I've always wanted to do, but I think everyone has to be 16 to do it? Olivia and V will only be 15, so I am not sure if we can? I do have a few other ideas in my head though - if we can't do that one, and I do plan to look into all the other tours available. If only we could afford to do one night concierge at AKL - they would LOVE to do the morning safari!

**********************************************************

I had a wonderful day in my sewing room yesterday... I was able to finish my current custom bag order... I will have photos posted for you all later this morning.

Last night the girls went out trick-or-treating... Yah - I know they are too old, but if they want to try - that is up to them... Half of the neighbors tell them they are too old anyways and don't give them any candy. :rotfl2:

I was surprised at how few trick-or-treaters we had. Thankfully I didn't buy much candy, so we didn't have a ton of leftovers.

Today, the girls have conferences - so we will be heading out to those this morning.

We are meeting Josh for lunch at the hospital...

Not sure what we are doing after that? I really need to come home and knock out some stockings... I have 4 of them quilted and ready to assemble. I am sure if I sat down for a few hours - I could have all of those done. I just need to do it.

I also have a Super Secret Project that needs my attention. I hope to devote a little bit of time this weekend to that, as I set up a November deadline for it - and I don't have much to do to finish it.

I hope you all had a fantastic Halloween!

D~
