Which locations have the new refillable mugs with the chip? We are doing a split stay at SSR and BLT at the end of the month. Anyone know how split stays are handled?

I want to know as well. I have split stay coming up in 13 days. I'm hoping they just reactivate the chip on my second half, so I don't end up with 10 mugs....

it is great because disney will move all your bags for you and you can run and play. the only down fall is you check out and check in so if you have the dinning plan it stops and doesnt restart till you check in the other resort so if you are staying at blt and go to beach club you will have to go to beach club and check in to use the meal plan bf you go to the park. Sometimes your new room is ready by lunch but i have already had my room not ready till 430. if you are in the park the whole day no problem but if you are at the pool you are stranded without a room or acess to you stuff. we sometimes do no meal plan the last two or three days we are at the new hotel bc it is considered two reservation you dont have to do the meal plan the whole week.

The meal plan is good all day on your checkout day so you should be ok when you Chang resorts

I was there in August at ASMusic and ASMovies. The mugs were a NIGHTMARE. Mine rarely worked and to have a CM override the machine, I had to get back in line at the cashier, etc. Every. Single. Time.

Many people having issues so the area was congested and lots of thirsty people waiting right by the dispensers for their allotted refills. Also many non-English speaking guests having a very hard time understanding the system, especially children.

Yep. You can used them at all resorts. We had no trouble with our mugs at POP last week. All of the hysteria over the mugs was really all for nothing. Very easy to use, and the time limit was so minimal that it really was a non issue. I never saw anyone angry about the system, and I never had to wait in a line to fill my mug even during peak dining times. Have a great trip!

We had no problems with our mugs. We were there for a week so bought mugs for $17.99 for "length of stay." The CM didn't ask how long we were staying, and the computer showed we could refill until October 3. Our last day was Sept. 26.

It looks like the "length of stay" isn't truly tied to your stay, but just goes to the maximum single stay at a Disney resort: 14 nights. My mug from Sat Oct 19 was good until Sat Nov 02. Probably just makes it much easier on the system rather than having it search for your checkout date and all the hassle that comes with that (not to mention server load).

A lot of the hysteria was tied to the unknowns. Rumors of limited daily refills, 10+ minute refill intervals, and spillage not being compensated for. The system, in general, was rolled out pretty well (I know, I know... I'm actually saying something good about the IT department. Of course, it is RapidFill's IT department and not Disney's...)

Lines at CBR for mug refills weren't bad last week, of course, I only refilled it a couple times as we were too far away to take better advantage of them (I dislike the layout of that resort immensely.)

I am concerned about the report above about having to override it every time. It seems that either a new mug should be issued at that point (and the old one deactivated) or some sort of CM training should be in order to prevent those types of issues from recurring. Overall though, it's a solid system.

And I had no idea that you could mug hop with them, I figured they'd be limited to your home resort. It's a nice bonus feature (and think of the data that Disney can collect!)

I would like to see the ability to refill them at the parks (even with an additional add-on cost component) as they're rather cumbersome on the system they're on right now. Adding RapidFill type stations would also reduce CM load (speeds up lines), reduce waste (environmental and economical), and allows those who just want a cup of water to not take up a spot in line.

We stayed for 15 night in September. We did a split stay and it was great to be able to use the same mugs at both resorts. We also pool hopped (DVC) and we able to use them at the pool we hopped to - brilliant!!!

This is great to know! We are doing an 11 day split stay in January and were wondering about the mugs.
