I found this on the Touring Plans Chat last night and had to share with you guys. I am just posting some of the comments from the chat. (not my comments/info)

"Ok the info I was given is by January all FP machines will be gone. There will not be any paper FP. Instead there will be kiosks or you can use the app. You automatically will get 3 FPp a day. After you use a FPp you can then schedule a new one."

"The RUMOR of October 27 is that your KTTW card will not be eligible to pull up legacy fp.This sounds like a real possibility. It would mean you would want to book your 3 FPP earlier in the day so you could go on with more FPP. That would ensure the headliners in the AM and then others (what was available) after those. Not good for hopping tho"

:confused3

If this really turns out to be true i would think on-site guests that have magic bands would no longer need to also be issued a KTTWC at check in? or will the still give them to you incase the Magic band stops working?:confused3

I read somewhere yesterday that yes, on site guests will no longer be issued KTTW cards at checkin if they have Magic bands, as of Oct. 27.

My quandary... We checkin at GF on Nov 13. We have MBs. We purchased our park passes separately (not a package with our room reservation). We bought them before we became eligible to test MBs. We now have the paper passes linked to the MBs. I expect that upon checkin we will not receive a KTTW if the prediction is correct bc our MBs will act as room keys, charging purchase, tickets, etc. However, since the legacy FP machines will still be operating in the parks, shouldn't I still be able to use the paper park passes I will have with me? I sure hope so! Will I need to activate these passes in some way before they will be accepted into a FP machine for a paper FP?

I have my FP+ must do items selected for mornings and can try to get more as each expires! but was hoping to just use the legacy FP machines bc it would be easier. I just want to be prepared for what to expect and now I'm unsure.

If this does become a real thing AM FP's are going to be the ones that are hardest to get (Don't you think)

I do wish you could atleast pick 2 parks per day to make FP+ in. or atleast when you book the 1st 3 you have to book in the same park but once you use one of those 3 and can book more you could book in a 2nd park. We do like to park hop. Normally 1 park in the AM and then another in the afternon/evening. So it would be nice to make FP+ for both parks atleast after we use the 1st 3. :goodvibes::goodvibes:

I have the same exact situation and would love to know if anyone has any insight or has had any experience already. We leave even earlier...Nov 2.

Thanks!

If this does really happen i really hope you are able to get all the info before you get there on 11/2.

We also check in on 11/13/2013!

Ok there seems to be a major point I am confused on here. I thought we were limited to 3 PERIOD. Are you all saying that after I have used my 3 fp+ I can make more that day in the same park? If so, yes, the morning ones would be integral. As it stands I have booked most of mine for afternoon/evening thinking we'd hit rope drop and do standby while the lines were short, and use our fastpasses later in the day. Is this not the case? If so, I really need to know because I will be reworking the whole plan and rebooking my times today:faint:

I am in the same boat as you all of my FP+'s are for the afternoon/evening (for the same reasonns you gave). If this does become true that you can make more FP+ selections after you use the 1st 3 i will also have to rework our picks. But at this time i can not find anything offical saying that will be the case (Being able to book more after you use them) that part is just a rumor right now. If i come across anythign offical on that i will post it here right away or if anyone else does i am sure they will do the same.

I could be wrong, but I have always understood the magic bands to be a limit of 3 PRESET FPs but then the ability to, yes, choose more as the day goes on within the same park, as the early chosen times expire. This is why I booked as many as I could for before lunch. I'm still hoping our regular park passes can help us fill in the gaps, but if not, I really do hope we can add FP+ as they day goes on.

Thank you:). It would also make rope drop touring useless because the lines would be packed with people who made early morning fastpasses for the same reasons we are thinking it's a good idea. I am so sick of rope drops and early vacation mornings.:rotfl:

I don't see anything official, but have understood that to be the case from the beginning. Maybe I'm wrong though! I think what we need here is someone who has actually used them to let us know. Anyone out there reading who HS used MBs already and successfully booked FP+ on the day of beyond the three preset choices? :)

I always thought people were referring to changing times once they got in the park.. they could have meant they were adding more after the first one though. I never thought so because there has been so much outrage at being limited to 3. Very interesting! I'll be interested to see the answer:)

I agree with your thoughts on this in as far as what you've shared.

It actually does make sense to me that they may allow you to reserve another FP+ once you have used one of your 3 for that day. So it essentially would not mean that you only get three per day but that you cannot hold more than 3 at any given time in one day. That is an aspect that appeals to me, assuming that it does not become impossible or dang near to it, to get any more FP's

Everyone still rushing for early FP's? Yep, agree with you again. Where we have all been speculating that it makes sense with a hard limit of 3 per day in total to make your FP reservations for later in the day or for your evening park, this will definitely not work if you can actually get more, provided you don't hold more than 3 at any given time. If your reservations are scheduled for too late in the day, you sit waiting while everyone else is booking them up.

This is going to be interesting. It sounds hopeful to a degree - but it is going to prove challenges in a different way if this is the way they implement the system post-testing

Everything I've read has said that you get 3 FP+ per day for 1 park only. You can move those 3 things around all day long, but once you use one, it's gone. You don't get to use more FP+.

Well, then I really hope my plastic park pass still works for our upcoming trip. ;) I don't like being restricted to 3 FPs total per day in only one park. We like to park hop. This system needs some reworking. And moving them around and changing times isn't a fix all solution either. I've been trying for days to move one specific FP+ selection and no matter what I do, it tells me there are NO other rides available for FP for that time window in the entire magic Kingdom. Really? Ugh. So I feel rather stuck with what we've selected. I'm not seeing it to be very flexible. But I guess I'll find out when we get there if I have better luck moving things around. :)

That is they way i have also understood it, but the rumor is that could be changing on 10/27/2013. :goodvibes:goodvibes. So maybe we will know more on Sunday or Monday from people in the parks. Or someone who has already used the FP+ can confirm how it is orking as of today 10/24/2013. :goodvibes

So glad we are not going until late May and will have 5 months of experience from all of you wonderful people to read about on this wonderful board!

I was sort of counting on a KTTW card to go along with my Magic Band for when I'm there in December because we park hop. I was *hoping*to use paper fastpasses for the morning park and FP+ for our hopped-to park. :scratchin

We're prepared for this not to be the case, though. We discussed which park to use FP+ for really carefully. On our AK half-day we made the decision to go stand-by for Everest etc. and use our allotted 3 FP for the MK. We feel a bit penalized for park hopping although we paid more for our tickets to be able to do so.

Geez. I spent more time on my FP+ selections than I did in filling out my tax forms. :rolleyes2

100% with you. We also park hop and have almost all of our FP+ picked for the afternoon/evening park we will be in. We were goign to use the old system in the morning park. But also knew they was a good chance we wouldn't be able to use the old system.

We just wish we could park hop (atleast 2 parks per day) with the FP+. But no matter what we are going to DISNEY and that is all that really matters to us!! Just want to be there with my fam :goodvibes:goodvibes

I think they will eventually fix it where you can have 3 FP+ per park per day. If not, they are penalizing the park hoppers. That could end up losing money for disney and I don't think they are going to let that happen.
