Just back from BW view. We were above the brewery, 5th floor. Maybe because we were high, maybe because we do not go to bed real early, but we did not find the BW loud at all. The games were closed so early, maybe a fall thing--maybe open later in summer. This morning we ate breakfast around 8 AM and it was so peaceful. Love it!

I'm joining in! I'll be at BWV for my very first stay at BWV on 11/12 through 11/16! So very excited to try this resort; I've stayed in the Epcot resort area but not at BWV, and staying at the Villas will be excellent! :hyper:

Started packing my stuff... DH is a procrastinator so the night before we leave is a LOT less stressful if I get my things in order in advance! ;-)

My DH does the same thing.
Luckily the kiddos start packing before I do so he just needs to pack at the last minute.
But his point is that we are going to Disney not a remote island, if he needs to buy something because he forgot it - shouldn't be a problem to find it there!

Kouzzina by Cat Cora at Disney's BoardWalk has introduced a new, seasonal, five-course prix fixe menu that will be offered every day. A beverage is not included, and no substitutions are allowed. The basic Disney Dining Plan is accepted -- the menu requires one entitlement, plus $19.50 surcharge. The Deluxe Dining Plan is also accepted -- one entitlement, plus $5 surcharge. A wine pairing is available for an additional $35.

A week from today I will be @ BWI for my first trip since 2008 & my first trip to BWI!!
So much to celebrate!!
DH B-Day on Halloween
Just celebrated our 19th last family trip before DS goes to college ;(
So excited!!
How exciting and congratulations!

It's taken me a week but I finally got through this entire thread. We have been planning a trip for next May and DH wanted to stay at a monorail resort. Well my mom wanted to join us so we went from a party of 5 to a party of 6. We've always stayed at CBR or POR. Thought we would end up at OKW or SSR but DH agreed to pay for BCV.

Last week, I got a pin code email and was able to get BWV 2 bedroom for 35% off. Still somewhat wishing we were at BCV because our kids are 3, 7, and 10 and know they would love it there. However reading this thread has made me excited for BWV also. We will be there 5/17-5/24. The idea of being so close to Epcot is exciting. I told DH if my mom gets too overwhelming we can always escape to France for Grey Goose slushes.
Welcome and I'll add you to the BoardWalk Bulletin. If she can't make it to France, she can always make a pit stop at the Belle Vue Lounge;)

While you wait for the trip, enjoy these:

Glad to read you had a great stay and I hope you get to return soon:)

Welcome and I'll add you to the BWB, too. You're going to have a wonderful time!

I need to read through the entire thread. But in the meantime I'm joining in as we are going to BWV February 8-15. Its our second trip to DW and first stay at BW. So excited to be close to EP and DHS. Last time we stayed at OKW but we are excited this time to be closer to the action.

Hoping to be at BWV February 13-21. Our favorite resort! Right now we are at BLT with wait list for BWV.

Peeking in on the lovely Kooksterlicious' thread to say... we'll be checking in Saturday!
If it isn't MissPackingCube:hug:. Will you be posting LIVE? Someone posted live from WL and reported that the resort has been at 100% occ. all week. What has been going on in the World this week? I hope they all depart on your arrival day:)

I wish you safe travels and a wonderful vacation:goodvibes

:welcome: to the DIS and the BWI/BWV thread. BLT is wonderful, we loved it! But I hope you get your waitlist:)

Don't get me wrong I enjoy staying at BLT too, but have friends booked at Dolphin that week so we would love to be close.

 I'll do my best to check in! Oh no, at 100%? :scared: I'm hoping that was just a carry-over from Columbus Day? Please, please, please let it be a carry-over. Fall semester break? Eep. :upsidedow

We just got back from BWV on 10\19. It was a wonderful stay! The location could not have been better. Nestled in between EPCOT and DHS during the F&W Festival was awesome!

We were in 4094...which was PRETTY FAR from the elevators. Upside was that we were adjacent to a stairwell that put us right on the path to DHS and was nestled in between the clown pool and the Community Hall.

While we loved the ambiance and the the theme, we were a little bit underwhelmed by the room. Given that we had stayed at Kidani Village and BLT where there were multiple bathrooms, that may have spoiled us!

The other thing was getting our mugs refilled. The only refill station was at the BW Bakery. The other locations to get them filled was at the Leaping Libations Pool Bar and the Lounge. But with both of them, I felt like a cheapskate waiting in line with paying\tipping customers, just to get a free refill of diet Coke.

Not to put the resort down, it was fabulous. And if I think it would be super awesome if going with adults or older kids. I think the Belle Vue Lounge was really cool. To grab a cocktail and hang out in a relaxed space like that would have really cool.

And then the chairs on the deck overlooking the BoardWalk, good stuff.

And I can't say enough about the pool. We had upper 80* temps all week and the pool was like a gift from the Heavens. My girls LOVED the slide (which consequently, was perfectly visible from our balcony!).

We spent a lot of time at DHS and EPCOT and we were pleasantly surprised at how short the walk was to DHS. I dare say it was about the same as our walk to MK from BLT.

We started off on the wrong foot when we arrived at 12:30 and our room wasn't ready until 4:15 and then our MagicBands and KTTW didn't work. We think our room was readya long time before we got it. I never got a text on my phone saying that it was ready until I was at the front desk (2nd time) to have our keys fixed. "Magically" after the bands and cards were activated, I got my text. Hmmmm:headache:

But I don't hold the resort responsible for that. However, that can negatively influence your perception.

being in the DVC, we like to try different resorts and this was #3 for us. And it wa the perfect spot for the F&W Festival. We didn't get to try Fantasia mini gold or the surrey bikes, but they're on our agenda for next year.

Ohhh...the Boardwalk Bakery....too good to pass up. If you've never been to, and you see a line, just hop right into that line. It moves quick and the treats are spectacular! :thumbsup2

Glad you made it home safely. Sorry to hear about the magic bands stuff. The evil twins are still connected to my account, and I'm hopeful the bugs will be worked out soon enough. The BWV has a great location. Did you all get to watch the night entertainment?

...And then the chairs on the deck overlooking the BoardWalk, good stuff....

I hated those chairs on the porch overlooking the Boardwalk. My villa (on the second floor) was right next to them and I had all sorts of people staring at me while I was sitting on my balcony. In my followup with DVC on this stay, I recommended they install a wall of sorts between that villa balcony and the lobby porch.

We got to see a few different acts there which was fun but the Illuminations display was not as viewable as I had expected given the location to BWV.

I never thought of that! I guess b\c I was on the back side overlooking the Luna Pool, something like that never occurred to me. We just looked out at the Boardwalk. Never even thought to look at the balconies to our left or right on the Resort.

Were you up to no good on that balcony that everyone was looking at you:stir:

Truthfully, any of the *negative* comments I've made are really nitpicking. BWV is a great resort. Location and atmosphere are top notch here. I can see how people fall in love with it. We'll def make our way back there.
