Disney’s Resort Massage & Fitness Spa Reviews

Thank you for the quick response! Do you have to have a treatment or can you just go to the spa to enjoy the steam room?

No entirely sure, I suspect they would charge a fee for use of the facilities if not part of a treatment. I had a massage when I went. ( very good!) I think you can email spa and ask , check the Dolphin web site, I think they have a ' contact us' link

I am considering separate massages for DH and myself at Mandara at the Dolphin. We will be staying at BWI, so I thought it would be convenient to do a late afternoon or early evening massage and then either head to our room or maybe walk over to Epcot (depending on how relaxed we are).

I would appreciate a review of the massage experience at Mandara; I'm not finding much with some searching. Most reviews seem to be on Senses. If Senses is much better, I guess I'd forgo convenience for performance. Also, if anyone can comment on the massages available (if any) at Muscles and Bustles, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks for any help!

I am a therapist at the senses spa at GF. It's beautiful and if you want the whole Disney experience you will get it there. Around every corner is something special for every guest. I think you will be pleasantly surprised :) my name is Kathleen if you want to book a massage or body treatment. Just request me when you make the reservation and I will make sure you have an amazing spa experience! Also FYI the muscles fitness center spa is no longer doing spa services.

Maybe you can answer a question for me. I called the spa today, but the person I spoke to wasn't very knowledgeable. I am wanting to book a service for myself, dd20 and also bring my dd12 along for the childs pedicure. I understand she will need to be supervised by me at all times. My question is will she have access to anything other than the pedicure? The website shows she cannot go to the healthclub, but what about the whirpool, lounge, snacks? Is that also considered part of the healthclub?

DW went with DD8 who also had a pedi and mani. They certainly had access to the refreshments and snacks / lounge . They were shown the facilities but I believe DD was too young to use them. They had a great time but did not use the spa section.

Thank you. I wasn't sure what was considered part of the health club and didn't want her to feel totally left out since her older sister will have full access to everything. If she can at least hang out a little while in the lounge with her older sister and not have to immediately leave after her pedicure then I think she will love this. Thanks again!

Does anyone know what treatments are currently available at the Zahanati fitness center/spa at Animal Kingdom Lodge?

The information available on this DIS WDWInfo website is totally different from what it says on Disney's pages:

See a zillion treatment choices listed here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/aklodge/rec.htm

See only two massages or a facial, here:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/spas/animal-kingdom-lodge/zahanati-massage-fitness-center/

What do you think? Is the long list of treatments outdated?

Thanks a mill!

I believe it's only massages. Not sure about facials .

Hi!
We're going on our first Disney cruise in April and it's time to make reservations. DW & I are planning on getting massages. Does anybody have anything to share about Senses Spa on the Dream?
Cheers!

So glad I found this thread!

we will be going to disney in November and just watched the new WDW planning DVD. My DD who is 6 going on 26, is sooo over the BBB but just went into thrilled mode over the spa!! I tried to give her the 'well spas are more for grown ups' when what is they VERY next scene on screen? a lovely mommy daughter moment in matching bathrobes. She was pretty triumphant about that...sigh.

So I have had massages & mani/pedis before, but never a true spa experience so its pretty intimidating to me.

I see where there is a child mani & pedi on the menu, what other options would be nice for a 6-7 year old? I would rather have a treatment/massage myself since I have gel nails and only want *my* nail tech touching them.

what is this princess with a tiara ceremony and all thing? does only one child per day get it? any way to request it in advance?

I cant help what other guests may think but is the staff welcoming to children? DD (ok well DD1 here...DD2 is my wild child) is very calm and sweet and charming to adults for the most part.

Final thing....we are actually staying off site at the Marriott Grande Vista. Is there anywhere that I can find reviews on their spa? i have googled my heart out and found not the first customer review about it. They also offer a child mani/ pedi but with Senses prices being really *not* much higher than Marriott's spa menu prices, I am inclined to go with Senses.

Any thoughts and advice are welcome:goodvibes:goodvibes

Whats your best Disney Spa experience or treatment?

My husband and I had massages at the spa in the AKL but it was just OK. We're thinking of going in November and would love hear experiences comparing the spa at the YC and GF...I'm assuming the GF is the premier spa on WDW property?

If staying in VGF and using the gym in the Senses Spa building, does anybody know if you can also use the locker rooms? or are they for Spa guests only?

Has anyone here used the Mandara Spa for a treatment recently? I am interested in booking a couples massage or the couples ritual. We are staying at the Grand Floridian, but I liked the look of this spa over Senses. TripAdvisor and Yelp reviews don't seem great, so I wanted to get some feedback from my trusted Disboards friends. I liked that the lounge areas are co-ed at Mandara (going with my honey so I would like to relax with him!), whereas they seem to be single-*** at Senses. However, if the condition of the spa, the service, and the treatments at Mandara aren't of excellent quality, I would rather spend the money at Senses. Any help? Thanks!

I have used the Mandara Spa several years ago. I remember it as being average in most respects. Massage was good. I thought the facilities were better at Saratoga Springs, not tried the New Spa at the GF so can’t comment on that. Its probably your only on site option if you want coed lounges, it may be worth checking out the Spa at the Four Seasons in Goldenoaks.
