Hawaii Maybe?

Its is part of US, DCL are forgien flag ships. The ports in Mexico have become a big problem. So were do you stop to get around the stupid maritime rules. They use to leave L.A. and make one going and then Hawaii and other in Mexico coming back. No one wants to go to that area of Mexico. If they do go i would consider that trip.

All the CMs I talked to about it said they would be shocked it they did it again. Not sure how much they really know about plans... But still.. :) I would love to do Hawaii though!

I have seen some lines doing Vancouver to Hawaii, to avoid Mexico.

The ports visited on the Mexican Riviera cruises aren't the same as the port stop in Ensenada on the roundtrip Hawaii cruises. I don't think the Ensenada stop was the reason DCL offered only two Hawaii cruises in 2012.

DCL could do one-way repositioning cruises between Vancouver and Honolulu at the end of the Alaska cruise season. What DCL can't do is one-way cruises between a California port and Honolulu without making a distant foreign port stop. They would have to sail between Honolulu and Ensenada (and bus people to LA or San Diego) if they wanted to do one-way cruises to or from SoCal.

By the way - Hawaii is the 50th state.

Royal Caribbean sails between Hawaii and Vancouver twice a year as they reposition from Australia/New Zealand to Alaska and back. It isn't a matter of trying to avoid Mexico.
