Online check in question? We arrive 11/20 for our first stay at the poly whoot!! Can you enter specific room # w/ the longhouse preference? Or can you only enter the preferred longhouse? Any guidance would he appreciate. Thx

You cannot request a room number. But you can request a longhouse or level (i.e. balcony or patio).

You cannot request a specific room # with online check in but you can call and have a specific room # addded to the request. We did that last time and got the exact room we specified.

Just arrived home yesterday. We requested Fiji balcony/patio but were given Tokelau 2nd floor (we arrived at the hotel at 9 :15 pm) overlooking the quiet pool. We were not big on the stadium lights around the pool, so we requested a move and they were able to move us the next day to Fiji marina view.

Other than the monorail shutting down from 11 am to 6 pm (VERY annoying), we had a fine stay but nothing special. I requested extra conditioner several times from Mousekeeping (including a sizable tip) since my daughter has waist-length hair, but only received one bottle a day.

We purchased DVC at the GFV, so this will most likely be our last stay at the Poly.

I'm glad to hear they were eventually able to move you to the longhouse you had requested!! Fiji longhouse may have been full when you checked in. I agree, even this last trip for my DH and I we didn't feel anything "special" and after being on the cruise were the staff went above and beyond, we felt the Poly was lacking. Although I will say, there were a couple people in GS at the Poly who were of great help when we had issues with the MB.

Congrats on your DVC purchase! The new GFV look wonderful!!!

No, there are only king beds in Samoa, Niue, Rarotonga and Fiji

My new maps will show all king bed rooms.

Thank you Tikiman! Love your site It's always been my dream to stay at Poly, so I think I'm going to take a chance with the construction and book for 11/10-11/13 with the RO discount. I want to stay at Poly while there's still a waterfall in the lobby and the volcano pool. Right now my reservation is at POFQ, but I am just feeling the draw to the Poly before all these changes happen.

If you have a chance to do it before January, you totally should. I'm kind of kicking myself for not doing it the past two years. Was planning on staying there next year but I'm not now because of DVC....maybe 2015 or 2016.

I know that the Honeymoon Suite in Tonga has a king bed and Fiji and Rarotonga did at one time. Not sure if that is the case since the remodeling.

You can note anything when you call in so call back. If they insist, insist back that they NOTE it on the reservation. It's not a guarantee, just a request. You could request Captain Jack as a roommate but that doesn't mean it will happen - oh, maybe I should do that

So finally decided that I would do online check in and I've tried 3x today only to get an error on the final step. I've gotten several emails from Disney asking me to check in online - but it doesn't work! Well, at least I get to be there - really soon!!! We leave tomorrow for Orlando but check in at the Poly on Sunday

I got the shock of my life today. You all know we stayed at the Poly in August and then went to Portofino Bay. Well the Portofino Bay part of the trip was horrible. I called management to let them know what happened so they could change things and no one else would have to go through what we did. When I was telling her what happened all she kept saying was OMG OMG OMG. Well she begged us to give them another chance and offered us the two days we stayed. I waited and waited for the certificate, I called twice with no return call and figured oh well I got lip service. Well for the heck of it I called today and got the same lady. She fell all over herself apologizing and asked if she could email me the certificate and call to make sure I got it. I said fine. The email came, she called, and I told her I got it. Well when I opened it up it was not for two days at club level but THREE and with a roll away bed!!! I almost fell over. That is over 1200.00!!! I never called just to get something I just didn't want others to have the same experience. I am totally blown away. We will use it when we do our annual trip in June but we will go there first and then to Disney because no matter what there is nothing like a Disney resort.

Glad they made things good for you. We had a similar experience with them. I had something happen, but it wasn't anything really terrible. Wow they entered your room?? Not good. We were just treated very rudely by the staff, denied entrance to the CL lounge even though we were dressed correctly and had CL privliges, given wrong and bad information at every turn, almost tipped over in my wheelchair getting to universal in the bus because he did not have me secured correctly and treated rudely by the boat captains amongst other things. I just didn't want anyone else who paid for club level to be treated as we were and that is why I said something. What they did for us was very nice and very special and we will give them another chance as they assured me that all the managers and staff in all the departments were spoken to. My heart though really is in Disney at the Poly. What happened at PB would never happen at the Poly.

I had to laugh at my kids this past weekend. We went up to Disney to pick up a painting at Wyland Galleries that the artist was personalizing for me. It was a 30th anniversary gift from my husband. Well we stayed at Pop Century because I just couldn't do two days this month at the Poly and five days in December. Well my kids opened the door, walked in and at the same time said "Oh my God mom these rooms are TINY!!" They are so used to the Poly. I could not believe how many times the three of us got in each others way that weekend. We had a blast but I think from now on we will save for the Poly on every trip.

deluxe does spoil you, especially the monorail resorts. I hate to say it but that's how we feel about AKL!! Booked AKL for a quick trip with the winter discount, paid $190 a night per room for pool view. We took our older daughter and her best friend and picked up younger daughter at the Outback Bowl in Tampa where she had performed at halftime. So five virtual adults. So thankful we booked two connecting rooms as they seemed extra small since they are so dark. The bathroom, OMG, You get out of the shower and you need to open the door immediately it's so claustrophobic in there. We are just home tonight from three nights in Tokelau again and I have to say, I like the rooms there for the size (it was just myself and my husband this time) but why, oh why did they do away with the full length mirror?? I missed that most of all, and wish thaty they could get some more powerful hairdryers! Other than that, perfect room, perfect location, 3929 right next to the elevators!
